Chapter 776: Chapter 105: Hidden Currents
Yabao Company’s design team visits various exhibitions and appraisal events around the world every year, gaining substantial experience in handling such events. They can glean numerous insights just from the exhibition setup and the attendees.
In recent years, as China’s market has gradually prospered, they have made several trips to various events including the Hong Kong International Jewelry Exhibition and Auction. As for holding exhibitions in Mainland China, this Multinational Jewelry Exhibition is truly their first.
Anna, who is quite critical, had complaints about the hardware facilities at the exhibition venues in Mainland China from the moment she arrived at the booth setup the day before yesterday.
Anna brought her own mask, criticizing the poor air quality in China, stating that the air was even worse in the exhibition hall, reeking of carpet cleaner, and sarcastically commented that this was the typical "Chinese smell."
When the five of them entered the D4 Hall of the National Convention and Exhibition Center, the usual stale smell caused by poor air circulation in ordinary exhibition halls was gone.
A sweet fragrance floated in the air, it was pleasant to breathe in and not irritating at all. Anna was the first to notice it.
"What is this scent?" As a woman, Anna was more sensitive to various scents than men. She began searching for the source of the fragrance in her line of sight.
The source of the fragrance was a cylindrical imitation crystal glass vase placed on the exhibition counter and table at the entrance.
"Hello, this is the latest gold jewelry our company has launched this year," Ignoring the warm greeting from the booth attendant, Anna picked up the imitation crystal vase.
The vase’s surface was not sealed, containing a silvery liquid similar to mercury. The liquid itself was not scented; the fragrance came from a rose inside the glass vase.
"The landscaping at the D4 booth is really unique," noted Paul and the other four as well. Starting from the booth at the entrance, throughout the D4 Hall, there were no green plants or potted flowers like roses, carnations, or cornflowers.
D4 Hall featured pruned Cherry Blossom Branch pot plants, carefully selected with buds yet to bloom.
The naturally scented item placed on the tables was the kind of fragrant pink rose that Anna was holding.
The overall color scheme of the exhibition hall was white, complemented by simple greenery dominated by pink, giving it an elegant appearance.
"The creativity is good, but it feels a bit monotonous. The unbloomed cherry blossoms and roses can hardly compete with the dazzling jewelry in the counters," Paul was the first to speak this time.
"Maybe it really is as Anna said, they couldn’t find enough sources of flowers. Hey, do you feel like the scent has gotten stronger?" One of them rubbed their nose.
Normally, staying in a place with fragrance for a long time should numb one’s sense of smell, yet in the D4 Hall, staying amidst the fragrance seemed to make the scent stronger.
"Right, the scent has become stronger. Look at this," Anna shook the glass vase in her hand, and the rose bud inside quietly underwent a change.
"The flower has blossomed." The companions exclaimed in surprise as the silver liquid slowly unfolded at a pace visible to the naked eye under the gentle light.
The fragrance gradually intensified, entering people’s noses and slowly filling their senses.
"It really blossomed. Look, not only did the rose soaked in the liquid bloom, these cherry blossoms are also blooming." The Cherry Blossom Branch on the ground revealed its stamens, the small buds blooming into golden pistils.
On one side was the quiet fragrance flowing under the nose, and on the other side, the elegant blossoms right before their eyes combined, making the dazzling jewelry comparatively dull.
"This is magical. I need to inquire about the flower art company hired by D4 Hall; they must have used some high-tech growth liquid," the other three members of the Yabao Team simultaneously gave a thumbs up, whispering among themselves.
"I’m afraid it’s not just about hiring a flower art company," Anna took a brochure from the exhibition hall staff and after looking it up, saw it stated "Five Gentlemen Flower Art Company."
A small, obscure company, how could they possess such astonishingly skilled flower art technology?
"Anna, did you notice something?" As a renowned jewelry designer, seeing such novel design, Paul could not hide his admiration.
