Chapter 1724 Break The Towers

Chapter 1724  Break The Towers

One of the towers had finally been taken out. Alba was one of the strongest middle-stage warriors in existence, someone whose Qi reserves alone placed her far above most at her level. Even so, with the protection of the reflective barrier surrounding those towers, they were nothing to laugh at. Any single mistake would have ended in her being erased on the spot.

The truth was that the mass power of the cursed item she held was what allowed her to push beyond her limit. A warrior at her stage using an item that doubled her strength meant she was temporarily fighting at a level close to a Divine-stage warrior. That was why she had been able to destroy the tower so decisively, shattering something that should have been untouchable.

The effects of the weapon were still coursing through her body. She could feel it in her limbs, in the way Qi surged unnaturally fast through her meridians. Knowing the cost of maintaining that state, she decided not to waste it. Instead of retreating, Alba turned immediately toward the battlefield, targeting the most dangerous mages still wreaking havoc, cutting them down before they could regroup.

'I hope the others are able to take out the remaining towers,' Alba thought as she moved. 'The moment they realized we were targeting them, they split the towers apart.'

High above, inside his palace, Idore controlled the battlefield with an air of arrogance. He could have gone out himself to assist Trubin and the others, but he truly believed he had created the ultimate defense within Noble Land. This entire system had been designed to withstand armies, not small groups of elites, and to him, failure simply wasn't an option.

The towers were extremely powerful. The situation they were in now was exactly what they had been built for. Yes, one tower had fallen, but there were still many more. And as long as he controlled them directly, they were far stronger than if left to operate independently. Without his guidance, they lost precision, their ability to move and prioritize targets diminished. That was why Idore remained where he was, overseeing everything.

'It's obvious,' Idore thought. 'There was a sudden surge of power before that tower was destroyed. That strength cannot be sustained for long.'

He smiled faintly.

'And besides, they don't realize this yet. By destroying one tower, they've only accelerated the cooldown of the remaining ones.'

That was how the system worked. As each tower fell, its energy redistributed to the others, allowing them to fire again sooner. At least, that was how it was supposed to work. What Idore failed to account for was Pagna itself, and the warriors standing against him. The allies Raze had gathered along his path were far from weak.

What Idore failed to account for was Pagna itself, and the warriors standing against him. The allies Raze had gathered along his path were far from weak.

At other towers, different solutions were being executed simultaneously.

The Bonum Society worked together seamlessly. Their unique hybrid forms allowed them to block and endure the incoming attacks long enough to close the distance. Shields of flesh, bone, and hardened Qi absorbed beam after beam as they pushed forward. Timing their movements perfectly, Amir and the others unleashed their attacks together, striking the barrier at the exact same moment.

The barrier shattered.

The instant it did, Amir transformed his arm fully, gripping the entire base structure of the tower. With a roar, he tore into it, crushing the lower framework completely. The tower collapsed in on itself, crumbling where it stood.

Because the Bonum Society surrounded the tower entirely, it had nowhere to retreat. It couldn't move, couldn't reposition, couldn't escape. Watching through his control interface, Idore felt his concentration slip for the first time. He hadn't realized that all the towers were under attack at once.

Elsewhere, B—still fueled by anger—had prepared her own solution. Drawing on the blood of both allies and enemies nearby, she condensed it into a single devastating attack. As she thrust her fist forward, the blood-based Qi erupted outward, obliterating the barrier and crushing the base of the tower in a single motion. The structure collapsed instantly, smashing into pieces against the ground.

At another tower, Liam noticed a flaw.

The reflective barrier struggled to deal with two attacks striking the same point simultaneously. Pressing one hand against the barrier, Liam activated his red energy laser. As the force reflected back toward him, he used that exact moment to drive his all-cutting sword forward. The blade pierced through the weakened barrier, slicing cleanly through the tower's core. With one final strike, the structure fell.

Ricktor and Mada worked together as well. Mada wore special boots passed down through his family clan, allowing him to generate and move through water freely. By holding onto Ricktor, he could carry him along, bypassing the barrier entirely. They emerged inside the tower's defenses and destroyed it from within, tearing the machinery apart before it could respond.

Tilion gathered an immense amount of strength into his shield, blocking a tower's direct hit head-on. As the beam dissipated, he lunged forward. One of the shield's effects activated, the sharpened edge slicing through the barrier's power itself. The top of the tower was cleaved apart, its systems failing as it collapsed.

And then there was Dame.

He had returned to the battlefield not to stand idly by, but because he had wanted to help Raze for a long time. He had always wondered what might have happened if he had arrived too late before, and that regret still weighed heavily on him.

With his hardened iron body, Dame pushed himself straight into the barrier. The reflective force tried to turn his own Qi against him, grinding into his flesh, but he kept pushing. He thought of Simyon. He thought of everything that had been lost. With sheer will, he forced his way through.

And then he destroyed the final tower.

One by one, everything Idore had built began to crumble.
