Chapter 1740 The Final Grand Magus
Chapter 1740 The Final Grand Magus
The others standing on the rooftop of one of the buildings were all looking at the floating figure coming toward them. They all had a bad feeling which was why they had decided to move out at the same time. No one had needed to say it, the shift in pressure alone had been enough for them to reposition together.
And they were somewhat glad they were in sync because if they were alone in this fight they had a feeling that it wouldn't end so easy for them. Idore wasn't someone you could afford to misjudge even for a second.
"I'm going to take a guess and say that's the Grand Magus?" Lince asked.
"Yeah, one of the only two left." Liam answered. "Although I'm sure, once Raze is done with the other one, that this will be the last one."
"Then, we just need to hold out, until Raze get's here right?" Lily asked. "With all of us here we should be able to do something."
"No!" Liam said. "We need to do what we can, to get rid of this guy!"
Liam knew better than to stall against someone like Idore. The longer he floated freely above them, the more damage he could do, and the less control they would have over the battlefield.
Having the same thought in mind, Liam started to run ahead, and along by his side, B, as well as Alba had charged in. Arguably the three of them were the strongest in terms of powerful strike force.
They leapt from their position of where they were, Liam with his all cutting sword was ready. B had gathered power in both of her arms swirling them with blood Aura, and Alba was on the tail end of her effect wearing off doubling her strength so she needed to do what she could.
All of them had built up their qi, and were ready to strike.
Seeing this, Idore then slammed both of his hands together, and two giant flame like dragons appeared swirling in the air, they curved around and avoided Liam who was slightly in front of the other two.
"I saw what your weapon can do, so I know not to strike you directly, but if your sword is all cutting there are easy ways to deal with you." Idore claimed.
A large giant Vortex of wind was shot out from his hand and it came straight for Liam. When it came forward Liam swung his sword slicing right through the Vortex, but it split in half and started to move like snakes as well.
The wind wasn't static, it twisted and adapted.
Then the vortex of wind began to surround him, and now it was as if he was in a blender filled with swords. His body was being struck by the magic constantly, he could cut through a few attacks but the wind would just warp and change attacking from a different place.
The attacks were constant, cutting up his skin, to the point where the vortex of wind even pushed him down right to the ground. Each time he swung his sword he reduced part of it, but Idore's control allowed it to reform immediately.
At the same time the two large flames of Dragon had crashed into Alba and B respectively.
They struck it with their Qi, and their immense amount of power managed to break out of the flames. The power was almost equal, but that was it, they were still a distance away from where they needed to be.
The heat alone forced them back, the shockwave sending them slightly off course.
Falling to the ground they quickly jumped back, and it was the same for Liam who cut through and ventured back to where the others were. They were planning to just launch an attack and fall back so the others could help them if need be.
Liam especially knew that they would need the strength of everyone to work together, if they had any chance of getting through this.
"Are you okay?" Rayna asked.
"Yeah don't worry, my body isn't exactly human anymore." Liam answered as the cuts on his body were starting to heal up due to the nano bots and at an incredibly quick rate.
He could supply them now with Qi energy to speed up the power and process of the bots, since he had fully unlocked the power of his system. The wounds closed visibly, though the strain of maintaining both regeneration and combat readiness wasn't light.
"The issue is going to be getting him out of the sky." Cronker commented.
"Right, mine and your techniques that are powerful quick and sharp is useless, while he can attack us from afar." Lince added.
"And it's not as if Forma can shoot him out of the sky." Kizer said. "He can catch arrows it seems and fire them back as well, so what are we meant to do, to just stand here?"
"I can create platforms for support with my staff, and if we get close enough, I can trap him in a large square box to try limit his movement." B said. "That might be the only way."
It wasn't perfect, but restricting movement would at least remove his ability to freely reposition with those spatial tricks.
They were calculating quickly, piecing together roles.
At least they thought, until they saw one person floating right above them, and landed on the ground with a large black hole behind his back.
The presence alone shifted the atmosphere.
The gravity around him felt heavier, the air slightly distorted.
"I…will be the one to finish him." Raze claimed.
