Chapter 36
Chapter 36
“Hahaha, what are you talking about my esteemed President Mo, haha.”
Wang Zihe suddenly burst into loud laughter, lying back in his seat with his head thrown back. Due to his intense laughter, his body trembled, and his eyes narrowed into curved lines, as if tears were about to flow.
He turned his head to look at Mo Yi, who furrowed his brow in response to his laughter. Without waiting for an answer, Wang Zihe quickly ceased his smile and continued, “You still don’t understand me enough. Whether you stand with me or not, I will be the one laughing in the end.”
“Courage is commendable.” Mo Yi raised an eyebrow upon hearing Wang Zihe’s exceedingly confident words.
Hearing Mo Yi’s assessment of himself, Wang Zihe continued nonchalantly, “Life is far too long, and the time we have together, you, me, and all of you, is limited. Isn’t it interesting to indulge in a game that I might never have the chance to experience? So, I can say that I have already won from the beginning.”
“Like drifting stars and starlight, how could the happiness or unhappiness of the two be compared?”
“So, let’s naturally enjoy the happiness of the present. Isn’t it better to simplify our thoughts?”
At this point, Wang Zihe suddenly paused. He turned his head to look at Mo Yi’s serious profile as he drove, and softly said, “And you always put too much pressure on yourself…”
This was probably the first time the two had engaged in such a profound conversation. It was so out of place with their surroundings, but Wang Zihe’s carefree words were like an immensely heavy boulder, splashing into the sea of Mo Yi’s heart, stirring up tremendous waves.
He had probably made the same mistake that all “successful people” easily make, which was being overly self-righteous, always imagining and understanding others from a superior standpoint.
In this aspect, he was much inferior to Mo Xijue. From the very beginning, Mo Xijue saw through Wang Zihe. However, the difference between the two was that Mo Xiju was truly playing the game and enjoying it.
He, on the other hand, was different. He never regarded Wang Zihe as a plaything, but as a person with personality, flesh, and blood.
Upon hearing Wang Zihe’s comforting words, Mo Yi sighed and said, “Some pressure accompanies a person throughout their life… This kind of responsibility is my duty.”
“I know, so please fully enjoy the pleasure brought by this pauper. Being with me isn’t boring, right?” Wang Zihe smiled and reached out, lightly brushing Mo Yi’s temple with his fingers.
“I suddenly understand why my father was attracted to you. You are truly special.” Mo Yi smiled and gazed steadily at the constant flow of traffic outside the window. Suddenly, he held the hand that rested near his ear, bringing it in front of himself and gently placing a kiss upon it.
“I suddenly understand why I ended up with you. You are always so special, Mo Yi,” Wang Zihe echoed his words, mischievously blinked his eyes, and said with a smile.
By the time the two arrived at the airport, it was almost dawn. After checking the flight schedule in the lobby, they proceeded together to the arrivals hall.
The flight from City N in the United States to City S happened to be landing at this time. It would take about another half an hour for Mo Jian to come out.
“Is Mo Jian afraid of you?”
“In this family, anyone surnamed Mo is feared.”
“Hahaha.” Wang Zihe couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“Upon further reflection, he seems rather pitiful.”
“No, he is the happiest one in the family.” Mo Yi turned his head and spoke coldly, looking at the person pushing a luggage cart not far away and approaching them.
Wang Zihe followed Mo Yi’s gaze, and spotted the person they had been discussing—Mo Jian.
The young man was sunny, handsome, and tall, and Wang Zihe agreed wholeheartedly with what Mo Yi had just said. He couldn’t see any traces of hardships or difficulties on Mo Jian’s face or in his demeanor. The scars inflicted by time, the helplessness and suffering brought by life—they did not manifest in the slightest on him. He was truly fortunate.
Of course, this perspective came from an adult’s point of view.
However, for Mo Jian, it was a great happiness to see Wang Zihe as soon as he got off the plane. But when he saw his brother beside him, everything became unfortunate.
“Long time no see,” Wang Zihe took the initiative to greet.
“Long time no see,” Mo Jian glanced briefly at Mo Yi, who made him feel uneasy, then looked at Wang Zihe’s face and spoke somewhat stiffly.
To Mo Jian’s surprise, Wang Zihe unexpectedly stepped forward and embraced him, lightly planting two kisses on both sides of his cheeks. He then blew a breath near his ear and asked in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Have you missed me?”
After saying that, he let go of Mo Jian and turned around, standing next to Mo Yi. He smiled at the somewhat cold expression on Mo Yi’s face and said, “I hope I did nothing wrong. It’s an American way of greeting.”
“No, you did everything right.”
With those words, Mo Yi turned and started walking away, seemingly leaving the airport.
Wang Zihe turned his head, looking at the slightly dazed Mo Jian, and couldn’t help but blink his eyes and say with a smile, “Come on.” With that, he followed Mo Yi’s footsteps and walked ahead.
Mo Jian was puzzled because of Wang Zihe’s completely different attitude toward him compared to before.
What was even more perplexing was why Wang Zihe was still by his brother’s side. Could it be that these two are truly in a romantic relationship?
If that’s the case, why did he make such ambiguous gestures in front of his brother earlier? Moreover, why did he ask if he missed him? What on earth is happening?!
No matter how clever Mo Jian was, he could never guess what had happened between Mo Xijue, Mo Yi, and Wang Zihe during his absence.
Such a moment left him somewhat bewildered.
However, the thought of Wang Zihe’s handsome and exquisite countenance brushing against his ear just now, carrying with it a direct, ambiguous, and uniquely fragrant scent, stirred a flurry of thoughts and emotions in Mo Jian’s heart.
All of this, he could only gradually unravel once he returned home.
