Gods, Intelligent Races, Worlds Lore (Optional, Mild Spoilers)

The Great Gods.

These two Gods were said to have existed before Kritias and fought each other due to being the complete opposite of each other. As they were just as strong, both died at the same time, and their gigantic corpses leaked immense amounts of Mana through the entire dimension, through this, the other Gods were born and the world of Kritias formed.

Anir, the Great Bright God, an existence beyond mortals and any of the other Gods in existence, it is speculated by the Gods that he and Kelsus were alien creatures from another world, but such speculation is kept hidden from the mortals. Its appearance is unclear, but because it created all bright things and also life, it is often attributed to resemble a star with angel-like wings, a wise old man with a long white beard and a halo, or a beautiful, voluptuous, and motherly woman, representing the mother of life.

Its corpse became the day, the sky, the stars, the sun, the vegetation, and the animals. Because of creating animals and vegetation, it was attributed as the mother of life as well.

Kelsus, the Great Dark God, an existence beyond mortals who came from a different world, much like Anir. Its real appearance is unclear, but because it created all dark things, the earth, emotions, and death, it is often attributed to resemble a reaper holding a scythe, a giant monstrosity, an old and wise man with a long black beard, and also a beautiful, mischievous and coquettish demon-like woman.

Its corpse became the moon, the ground, gave birth to intelligence, to emotions, to destruction, and death. If only Anir corpse would have remained, death would not have existed, and life would have been eternal. Kelsus is often attributed as the keeper of eternal life, through its corpse, it never let living beings live forever… but also because of the emotions and intelligence that it brought, intelligent races would have never existed, to begin with, and life would have been immortal, but dull and primitive.

The Gods born from within the two Great Gods corpses inherited part of their divinities and powers. Using their divine authorities, they maintained order in Kritias.

There are no gods who were born from only one corpse, but those who call themselves the 'Bright Gods' inherited a greater part of the power of Anir, while the ones named 'Dark Gods' by them inherit a greater part of the power of Kelsus.

The Bright Gods

Bestellen, the God of Light and Righteousness, Chief of the Bright Gods and represents the righteousness of humankind, alongside the Light Attribute and law and order. From the very moment that it was born, it saw itself as the representation of the truth.

He saw those closer to Anir as the worthy beings that should exist while seeing the vastly diversified Beastmen and Demons as impure creatures born from the worst things in the world of Kritias.

There was a time when all Gods lived together and took care of the intelligent races while protecting them from the Monsters, but this only intensified the God's disgust to Demon and Beastmen, and even Dwarves to an extent.

It had once plotted for the 'cleansing' of demons and beastmen, but it failed when he was betrayed by his most trusted brother, the God of Darkness, who protected the 'impure races' and decided that those who he found 'unworthy' did not deserve to be wiped out of Kritias.

He was born from within the brain of Anir, and this is why it has inherited its ideology and hate over those 'impure races' that have a greater part of Kelsus than Anir. Some Gods speculate that he had inherited the Great Bright God's mind and memories as well…

He brainwashed most of the Bright Gods with his ideologies and wicked point of view because most of the Bright Gods had a greater part of Anir, they could only feel the truth on his words.

In Kritias 1, with the help of the reincarnated souls brought by a god of reincarnation from another world, he managed to fight back the last remnants of the demons and the Dark Gods.

With the help of his siblings, he sealed the God of Darkness and Sins and proclaimed his divine authority, becoming the God of Light, Darkness, Righteousness, and Sins. With such new powers, he tries to wipe out the demons off the face of Kritias, and currently succeeded, however when he thought he could finally rest, knowing that Kritias was pure, he learned about the parallel Kritias was things weren't going as it was supposed to.

As he planned his next course of actions and possibly the conquest of the parallel Kritias, a gate in space opened and the current Kritias was invaded by otherworldly gods.

In Kritias 2, he is mildly weakened by the God of Darkness attack and is currently recovering for a few more hundreds of years before his retaliation, planning countless schemes. Unaware than in a parallel world, he had already achieved his greatest goal.

Uphy, the Goddess of Fire and the Sun,

Kesheia, the Goddess of Life and The Day,

Rhalorr, the God of Water and Oceans

Chaneyr, the God of Wind and the Sky

Phunana, the Goddess of Thunder and the Weather

Tikdall, the God of Wisdom and Intelligence

Droella, the Goddess of Time and Patience

The Dark Gods

Razdall, The God of Darkness and Sins, Chief of the Dark Gods, unlike the God of Light, he seeks peace between the intelligent races and after seeing the large discrimination done to the Demons and most of the Beastmen, he had taken them as his children, giving them a place to call home and protecting them alongside the other Dark Gods.

After knowing that the God of Light had the intentions of wiping the entire demon race, he betrayed him and separated himself from the original group of gods, alongside its siblings.

He was born from within Kelsus's heart, and he inherited his will to protect its 'body', meaning those who had a greater part of Kelsus than of Anir.

The moment the God of Light tried to wipe out the Demon and Beastmen, he couldn't wait any longer, he attacked his trusted and beloved sibling and protected the mortals from his tyrannical ideology.

In the 'final battle' of the original Kritias, he was pressured back by the God of Light alongside its siblings, and after seeing several of its siblings die or be sealed, he furiously tried to avenge them due to his divinity being related to sins, he gives in to his 'Wrath', allowing the God of Light to seal him away while stealing his divine authority of darkness and sins.

In Kritias 2, Veronica current world, which is a parallel world, he is still protecting the demons from the humans, in a seeming era of peace where the God of Light is recovering and its siblings are calmly planning their next course of actions.

Nymera, The Goddess of The Moon and the Night, a Goddess who was born from Kelsus blood. She has a tranquil and calm personality, and it is the most protective of the Dark Gods siblings. She loves Demons the most, as several of them represent the 'Moon' and the 'Night' created by Kelsus corpse. Her authority is the night and the moon, she can harness the powers of the moonlight and darkness of the night.

[Subordinate Gods]

Ophelia, Moon Rabbit Goddess:

Giant Tempest Horned Rabbit Beast King (Considered to be a demi-god based on sheer strength):

Qadall, The God of Death and Souls, one of the most mysterious Gods of Kritias, he barely interacts with anyone and never mindless in the affairs and problems of his siblings, always watching over the dead and its souls, while reincarnating them.

Tevra, the Goddess of the Earth and the Depths, she was born from Kelsus flesh and bones, she maintains the Earth attribute and manages the depths of Kritias, unknown to most. She has a shy personality.

Vedon, the God of Inventions, Alchemy, and Magic, was born from the first piece of Kelsus brain, he has the Great Dark God's imagination, creating inventions, alchemy, and using magic in unconventional ways for the benefit of everyone. He taught the intelligent races how to learn from others, to create things, and to discover them, and he fermented their imagination.

Due to the increase in corrupted Mana areas in Kritias, monsters began to become even more common and fiercer. With the help of the other gods, he created Kritias's System to help mortals grow stronger and to defend themselves from the Monsters.

Due to the flaws within the System, monsters being capable of using the system to their advantage were also born. Because of the system intricate creation, it was impossible to take it down, and doing so would have also caused the severe weakening of the intelligent races, who would end up even more overwhelmed by monsters.

Since then he had decided not to intervene anymore. Becoming a truly neutral god.

Roneas, the Goddess of Emotions, born from the second piece of Kelsus brain, she gathers Kelsus memories in herself and is the representation of all the emotions that make intelligent beings so varied and beautiful.

She is a lovely goddess that just wants the best for everyone. Due to representing emotions, she constantly changes her attitude, from energetic to enthusiastic, or too depressive to very happy. Sometimes she is burning with passion and love and other times she is grieving in sadness.

She was always on the God of Darkness side and fought alongside him, however, she was too weak compared to the Bright Gods.

Lamus, the God of Space and Otherworldly Knowledge, born from Kelsus third piece of the brain, and also its nucleus. He was always part of the 'neutral faction' of gods but he knew that the God of Light plans would end up in the imbalance of Kritias and needed to be stopped.

Zilmera, the Goddess of the Stars and Constellations, was born from Kelsus and Anir eyes.

<Demon Gods>

Oggoth, Demon God of Hypnotizing Eyes

Intelligent Races.

The five races were created by both corpses, Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Beastmen, and Demons.

Humans were born from most of Anir's corpse, while Demons were born with most of Kelsus's corpse.

The rest are in between, Elves being closest to humans, dwarves in the middle, and then beastmen closest to demons.

The more they inherited from Anir, the less varied they are in subspecies.

Humans only having different skin colors and slightly different physiques depending on the region they were born.

Elves are beautiful and often said to be even closer to Anir due to their magic affinity and brightness, however, they have more subspecies, which are often seen closer to demons, such as Dark Elves, Poison Elves, Fairies, and more.

Dwarves were in between, having the brightness and familiarity of humans, but also the monstrous strength of beastmen or demons. They are not truly human but neither demons. Their subspecies are also varied, with some Dwarves living underground, others preferring to live near volcanoes, and others that had become wilder and more savage often confused with demons.

Halflings and Gnomes are part of Dwarves' subspecies in the world of Kritias and are often part of their subspecies accepted by humans and elves.

Beastmen are even more diversified than Dwarves but often still seen as having 'part of Anir' as they are half animals, beings created by the Great Bright God's corpse. Their strength is often greater than their magic talent and the varied subspecies can have special racial skills such as Agility Enlargement, or Strength Enlargement, and some of the higher castes can turn into anthropomorphic beasts and increase their strength to greater levels.

The less savage subspecies such as Cat Beastmen, Dog Beastmen, and Harpies are often accepted by the other societies that are said to be closer to Anir. While the rest are usually rejected due to their 'savagery' or customs, each tribe having its own cultures that clash with the ideology of Humans, Elves, and a greater part of the Dwarves.

Demons are the most diversified of the five intelligent races that exist in Kritias, this is because they took several traits from Kelsus, such as the 'death', the 'emotions', the 'night', the 'destruction' and are similar to monsters in most cases.

Their subspecies ranging from human-like demons with the only difference being black horns in their foreheads to beast-like lion-headed demons, obscene demons that thrive in intercourse like a succubus, and even several Undead and half-Undead subspecies such as Vampires, Liches, Ghouls, and more.

Most of the societies see Vampires, Liches, and Ghouls as monsters, despite possessing intelligence and rationality, unlike true Undead Monsters like Living Armors, Ghosts, and Zombies.

Demons are so diversified and their races are so alike to demi-human type Monsters that their entire races are often called 'monsters with intelligence', without leaving many areas for the demons to be accepted, as those who tried would be seen as wicked people that want to make friends with monsters.

Some of the monster races often thought to be demons are Goblins, Ogres, Orcs, Minotaur, and Trolls, while the demon races often thought to be monsters are the Liches, Ghouls, Vampires, Scylla, Arachne, and so on…

This is why Demons have taken upon a large portion of the second continent of Kritias for themselves since ancient times, creating the Demon Empire and several other Demon Nations, it is said that in such nations, even monsters such as Goblins and Ogres are accepted as citizens.

The greatest difference that can be done to know what species a demon or a monster is is by checking their status. If they are capable of obtaining Jobs and not evolve, they are demons, and if they are capable of evolving but not to gain jobs, they are monsters.

Of course, Veronica and Ervas are an exception.
