Chapter 1299 Forces of Divine Realm
Chapter 1299 Forces of Divine Realm
Freya continued, her voice trembling slightly. "Mother told me once that she willingly gave up everything for father. She claimed she offered her powers, her royal status, and even her race because being with father mattered more to her than anything else. But rumors spread quickly in the Divine Realm. One rumor was that she was forcefully stripped of everything she had, that she was punished severely for loving a human. Regardless of which version was true, the outcome remained the same."
Her hands tightened further. "In the end, mother became a normal human. Father found her in that weakened state, and together they found a small place to live. They built a life away from the Divine Realm, far from the reach of elves. Then we were born. For a time, they thought happiness had finally arrived."
Freya's eyes locked onto Max. The weight of her next words pressed against her chest. "But when you were born, something unexpected happened. A powerful phenomenon shook the area because the royal bloodline of the Elf Race awakened within your body. The same bloodline that the Elven Council had stripped from mother manifested in you, as if defying their cruelty."
Max inhaled sharply, the realization sinking deeper than before.
Freya continued. "Mother and father were horrified. They knew the elves would sense it sooner or later. They tried everything to hide your bloodline. They sealed it, suppressed it, and disguised your aura. For a while, it worked. Life was peaceful. But one day the Elf Race detected it. They came for you. And everything that happened after that… you already know."
Max's jaw tightened. His expression turned grim, almost carved from stone. The truth struck harder than any blade. His family had been shattered because of him. The elves had destroyed everything in pursuit of the bloodline he carried. The guilt in his heart twisted painfully, and the hatred he had buried deep ignited once more with scorching intensity.
"So when you ascend to the Divine Realm, we may not meet each other for a long time," Freya said quietly. Her tone carried a deep solemnity, as if she had been preparing herself for this reality long before today. "Once we leave this world and step into the Divine Realm, everyone will be scattered across different forces, different realms, and different situations. We will not be able to move freely, especially in the beginning. That is why I need you to be careful. Whatever force you choose to join, make sure that they have absolutely no connection to the Elf Race. You must avoid them at all costs."
Max nodded, already aware of the danger the Elf Race posed. "The force I will be joining is called the Black Dragon Palace," he explained. "I made an agreement with them regarding my ascension, and in return they gave me a spatial anchor that links directly to their realm. When I ascend, I will skip the Ascension Tunnel entirely and appear straight inside their territory. That is why I do not need to wait for the tunnel in Acaris to be repaired."
Freya's brows furrowed as the name triggered memories from her time in the Divine Realm. "Black Dragon Palace…" she murmured thoughtfully. "I have heard of them. If my memory serves me correctly, they are a well-known force under the Verdant Sky Realm. The Verdant Sky Realm is famous for housing many bloodline-based powers that descend from Divine Beasts, especially dragons and phoenixes. Your existence will not be treated as unusual there, since your draconic bloodline has already awakened. In fact, it may even benefit you."
Max tilted his head, genuinely curious. "Are they very strong? The Black Dragon Palace, I mean. How do they compare in the Divine Realm?"
"Strong, certainly," Freya replied, though her expression remained thoughtful. "But they are not among the absolute peak forces. Their strength lies heavily in their Divine Beast lineages, which makes their individual members extremely powerful. However, their reliance on such rare bloodlines also limits their numbers. They do not possess the vast armies or overwhelming influence that the highest-ranking forces maintain. Because of that, they are considered a step below the top forces of the Divine Realm. Still, they are respected and feared, and they have produced several legendary figures."
She leaned back slightly, as if calculating their odds of staying connected once they entered the higher world. "It is good that you told me the realm you will ascend to. Verdant Sky Realm is not one of the dangerous territories controlled by the Elf Race, so you should be safe there for a time. If fate allows and I gain enough strength and freedom after my own ascension, I will come find you. I cannot promise when, but I will not disappear from your life forever."
For a brief moment, her gaze softened in a way that only family could inspire. The weight of everything they had endured together seemed to pass between them.
Max nodded slowly, feeling the quiet determination behind her words. Despite the chaos awaiting them, despite the uncertainty of the Divine Realm, despite the enemies that existed beyond mortality, they both held onto a small thread of hope.
A thread strong enough to pull them together again someday.
"By the way, what do you plan to do with all the humans stored in the Life Space Rings?" Freya asked suddenly. Her tone carried genuine concern. She knew Max had been thinking far ahead, planning for the future of every living person from Acaris, yet she also understood how difficult such a responsibility truly was.
Max answered without hesitation. "After I ascend and establish myself in the Divine Realm, I will search for an uninhabited planet. Once I find one, I will release everyone and help them turn that world into their new home." His voice carried steady confidence. In his mind, this was the most practical path. A place without existing civilizations, politics, or hostile forces would give humanity a clean slate to rebuild their lives.
Freya nodded approvingly. "A good plan," she said. "But I would still advise you to ask a trustworthy elder in the Divine Realm to help you find a mortal world specifically, not just any uninhabited planet. All the humans you are carrying with you are still beings at the Divine Rank, a rank meant for mortals. If you place them directly inside a Divine Realm world, the pressure of the realm will crush them. They will die before they even take a step."
Max frowned, confused. "What do you mean they would die from pressure? Why would the Divine Realm itself harm them?"
