Chapter 1332 6th level of Divine Rank
Chapter 1332 6th level of Divine Rank
The leaf of flame reacted first. It glowed with a deep, primordial radiance that did not burn outward but condensed inward. From its center, a tiny spark emerged, no larger than a grain of sand, yet carrying terrifying density.
This was not ordinary fire, but the Divine Spark of Flame, the essence of combustion, destruction, warmth, and renewal refined to its purest state. Instead of descending into the golden core, the spark drifted away from the leaf and came to rest in the space beside the core, floating calmly like a newborn star.
Soon after, the leaf of ice responded. A profound stillness spread through the inner source as cold clarity manifested. From that leaf condensed a pale blue spark, flawless and crystalline, embodying absolute stillness, suppression, preservation, and inevitability.
The Divine Spark of Ice separated from the leaf and settled opposite the flame spark, maintaining perfect balance without clashing, each existing independently yet harmoniously.
Lightning followed with explosive intent. The Chaos Tree shook more violently this time as the lightning leaf erupted with sharp brilliance. Thunder echoed through Max's being, not as sound but as authority. A violet spark formed, crackling with speed, judgment, and decisive will.
This Divine Spark of Lightning shot outward from the leaf and halted near the others, releasing faint arcs that illuminated the inner source without causing destruction.
Then came space.
The leaf of space did not glow brightly. Instead, the inner source itself warped subtly, as though distance had lost meaning. From that leaf emerged a translucent spark that seemed to exist in multiple positions at once.
The Divine Spark of Space embodied separation, connection, confinement, freedom, and infinite extension. It floated quietly near the golden core, anchoring itself without merging, causing the very structure of the inner source to become vastly more stable and expansive.
Last was the sword.
The leaf representing the Concept of Severing Sword sharpened to an impossible degree, its presence cutting through perception itself. From its center condensed a dark silver spark, heavy with absolute intent.
This was the Divine Spark of Sword, the embodiment of severance, finality, decision, and authority. When it separated from the leaf, even the other Divine Sparks seemed to still, instinctively acknowledging its edge. It took its place closest to Max's consciousness, hovering like a silent executioner awaiting command.
The golden core did not absorb any of these sparks.
Instead, it remained at the center as a stabilizing anchor, while the five Divine Sparks formed a loose constellation around it, each independent, each sovereign, yet bound by Max's will and existence. The Chaos Tree stabilized completely, its roots digging deeper into Max's being, its branches growing sturdier, its leaves sharper and more defined.
This was not the structure of an ordinary Divine Rank cultivator.
Rather than fusing everything into a single source, Max had unknowingly laid the foundation for something far more terrifying. His concepts had given birth to Divine Sparks that existed on their own, capable of evolving independently, resonating with each other, and one day forming true Cosmic Paths without being restricted by a single core.
When Max finally opened his eyes, he did not feel explosive power or arrogant superiority.
He felt clarity.
His strength no longer surged chaotically. It obeyed. Each concept now possessed a divine foundation, each spark a seed for something far greater, waiting only for direction.
Just then many notifications flashed before him.
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 1st level of Divine Rank.]
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 2nd level of Divine Rank.]
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 3rd level of Divine Rank.]
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 4th level of Divine Rank.]
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 5th level of Divine Rank.]
[Congratulations Max Voidwalker for leveling to 6th level of Divine Rank.]
'I leveled up all the way to the sixth level of Divine Rank⦠cool.' Max smiled silently, a brief flicker of genuine joy crossing his face as he sensed the stabilization of his realm.
It was not surprising in the slightest. He had devoured countless attacks from Mark, attacks infused with the essence of the world itself. He had just absorbed some remnants of the Wraith of the World, a force meant to judge and erase existence.
On top of that, during his Mythic Rank, he had deliberately compressed his mana again and again until his foundation was absurdly dense. All of it accumulated, stacked upon each other, and the result was inevitable. The moment he crossed into Divine Rank, his cultivation surged forward like a flood breaking through a dam, carrying him straight to the sixth level without pause.
But that joy lasted less than a breath.
The instant his realm stabilized, the world turned hostile.
It was not hatred, nor malice. It was law.
The laws of Acaris reacted violently to his existence, as if his presence had become an error that could no longer be tolerated. Space tightened around him. The sky pressed down with invisible weight.
The earth beneath his feet groaned as though bearing a burden far beyond its limits. It was the pressure of forced ascension, the world demanding that he leave, insisting that a being of his level had no right to remain within a mortal realm.
Max's expression darkened.
The pressure was far greater than before. This was not the gentle pull he had felt earlier, nor the distant call of the Divine Realm. This was coercion. The world was actively trying to expel him, to tear his existence away and fling him upward whether he agreed or not.
Without hesitation, Max activated his fifth level concept of space.
The space around his body locked instantly, not expanding outward but collapsing inward into a perfectly controlled domain no larger than a few meters. Within this confined region, spatial laws obeyed him alone. Ascension force struck the boundary and rippled violently, sending distortions racing across the invisible barrier like cracks spreading through glass.
At the same time, Max opened the first of the Seven Divine Veins, the Vein of Origin.
A deep, ancient power surged through his body, reinforcing his flesh, bones, blood, and soul all at once. His muscles tightened as if forged from divine metal. His organs resonated with a heavy, steady rhythm. Even his artificial soul trembled under the strain, amplifying every sensation, every pulse of pain, every ounce of resistance he exerted.
It was still too much.
The pressure did not lessen. Instead, it intensified.
Blood seeped from the corners of Max's mouth as the world continued to push, layers of reality pressing down on him like overlapping mountains. His locked space creaked audibly, invisible fractures appearing as the ascension force battered it from every direction. His body shook despite the reinforcement of the Vein of Origin, his dragon scales flaring faintly as they worked tirelessly to repair microfractures forming throughout his flesh.
Max clenched his teeth, refusing to yield.
He could feel it clearly now. If he relaxed for even a single moment, if his concentration wavered for even an instant, the world would seize him and tear him away from Acaris. He would ascend whether he was ready or not, whether the consequences were acceptable or not.
This was the price of power.
Remaining in the mortal world at this level was no longer natural. It was an act of defiance against existence itself.
Every breath felt heavier than the last. Every heartbeat echoed like a drum struck too hard. The laws of the world screamed at him without sound, demanding obedience, demanding departure.
And yet, Max stood there.
Sweat mixed with blood as it ran down his face. His eyes burned with focus rather than fear. Even as the pressure threatened to crush him, a calm resolve settled deep within his core.
'Just give me a little more time to say goodbye to everyone.' Max thought as he turned to Freya and Lucien and wondered why they looked so relaxed. Weren't they also feeling the forceful ascension?
