Chapter 1447 Ejection from the trials!

Chapter 1447  Ejection from the trials!

Before anyone could respond further, a sudden fluctuation occurred within the Path to Eternal Flames.

Isabella's figure flickered violently on the screen.

In the next instant, a surge of light enveloped her body, and she was forcefully ejected from the trial. Her form appeared outside the massive dome that housed the Path, descending rapidly before landing not far from the gathering of elders and the Seven Family heads.

A wave of murmurs swept through the crowd.

Around the area, many disciples were already seated or standing quietly, having been teleported out long before her after reaching their own limits. Compared to them, Isabella's arrival carried far greater weight. The Saintess in training had reached the tenth layer before being expelled, an achievement that set her apart from nearly everyone else present.

Isabella steadied herself upon landing, her breathing heavy but controlled. The lingering aura of the tenth layer's flames still clung faintly to her body, a testament to the intensity she had endured.

"Isabella, you did well."

Seraphina Vale moved swiftly through the gathered disciples and arrived before her, her expression filled with clear approval. She placed a steady hand on Isabella's shoulder as she spoke, her voice warm yet dignified.

"You have reached the tenth layer. That alone places you among the finest of this generation. It is more than enough. I am very satisfied."

Isabella straightened slightly despite the lingering exhaustion in her limbs. A faint smile appeared on her face as she bowed her head respectfully.

"Thank you, Master," she replied sincerely.

Although her body still carried the strain of the tenth layer, her gaze instinctively drifted toward the massive projection screens hovering above the platform. Only two figures remained displayed within the Path to Eternal Flames.

One of them was Zain, his blazing silhouette still enduring the fierce pressure of the eleventh layer.

The other figure caused her eyes to narrow.

Max.

He was seated cross legged within the eighth layer, surrounded by swirling flames yet remaining perfectly still.

"What? Max is still inside the Path to Eternal Flames?" Isabella blurted out, unable to suppress her surprise. A look of genuine shock crossed her face as she stared at his unmoving figure.

She had assumed that he would have been eliminated long before her.

Seraphina Vale noticed her reaction and smiled lightly.

"Do not concern yourself with him," she said in a calm and reassuring tone. "He is advancing at a very slow pace. He only managed to reach the eighth layer after spending excessive time meditating below. Even now, he is seated there again. It is unclear whether he even has the strength to step into the ninth layer."

Her words carried a subtle dismissal.

Hearing this, Isabella's tense expression softened slightly. She exhaled quietly, a faint sense of relief rising within her.

"It seems I overestimated him," she said to herself.

In her mind, the eighth layer was not a realm worth admiration. Compared to the crushing intensity she had endured in the tenth layer, remaining in the eighth appeared insignificant. The fact that Max was still meditating there made her assume he was struggling to advance further.

She shook her head lightly, a trace of disdain flickering in her gaze.

To her, such a level of strength could not even be compared to her own. She believed it wouldn't be long before Max was ejected from the Path to Eternal Flames.

Before she could think further, a sudden disturbance rippled across the platform.

A powerful fluctuation of flame energy erupted near the dome's boundary.

The projection screen showing Zain flickered violently.

In the next instant, a blazing figure shot outward from the Path to Eternal Flames and descended toward the ground.

It was Zain.

His body landed firmly not far from Isabella, the residual aura of the eleventh layer still radiating around him. His clothes were scorched at the edges, and faint burn marks traced along his arms. Though he remained standing, it was clear he had endured an immense struggle.

He had reached deep into the eleventh layer, but in the end, the raging flames had overwhelmed him. The crushing pressure and the violent flame laws had knocked him unconscious for a brief moment, triggering the protective mechanism of the trial and forcibly teleporting him out.

A wave of astonished murmurs swept through the gathered disciples and elders.

Zain slowly steadied his breathing, his expression grave yet composed. Even in defeat, there was no shame in his posture.

After all, he had entered the eleventh layer.

And that alone had already carved his name into the history of the Black Dragon Clan.

"Haha, Zain, you did well."

Garry Heron strode forward with undisguised pride, his laughter carrying across the platform as he approached his descendant. Without hesitation, he placed a firm hand on Zain's shoulder and gave him a solid pat, his eyes shining with satisfaction.

At that moment, Garry felt nothing but triumph.

It was a member of the Heron Family who had stepped into the eleventh layer of the Path to Eternal Flames. That achievement alone was enough to elevate the family's prestige for generations.

Even though Zain had not managed to approach the twelfth layer, Garry did not feel the slightest regret. In his eyes, the twelfth layer was a legendary domain that had remained untouched by anyone at the Rebirth Realm throughout the history of the Black Dragon Palace.

The very idea of entering the twelfth layer at such a cultivation level bordered on myth.

For Garry, the eleventh layer was more than sufficient. It was a mark that would allow the Heron Family to boast Zain's accomplishment for centuries to come. Songs would be written. Records would be etched. His name would stand among the most outstanding figures the clan had ever produced.

"You have brought honor to the Heron Family," Garry said firmly, his voice filled with pride. "The eleventh layer is no small matter."

Zain lowered his head respectfully despite the exhaustion that lingered in his body.

"Thank you, Family Head," he said calmly.

Although his aura had dimmed compared to when he stood within the flames, his posture remained straight. There was fatigue in his eyes, but there was also quiet satisfaction. He had pushed himself to his utmost limit within the eleventh layer. Even in defeat, there was no shame.
