Chapter 1494 Sense of Incompleteness!

Chapter 1494  Sense of Incompleteness!

'She is fast,' Max thought instantly as his expression turned solemn.

The speed she displayed far surpassed the warriors he had fought earlier in the tower. The attack came so suddenly that even a moment of hesitation would have been enough for the blow to land.

Without wasting even a fraction of a second, Max activated the Storm King's inheritance once again.

The seven lightnings of divine punishment erupted around his body as his figure became surrounded by arcs of radiant energy. Seven colored lightnings flashed violently through the air as the power surged through his body.

Using that explosive speed, Max reacted in time.

His body turned into a streak of seven colored lightning as he stepped backward rapidly. The movement carried him several steps away from his previous position, allowing the swing of the bow to pass just in front of his face.

The bow sliced through empty air where his head had been a moment earlier.

Seeing this, the elven woman's expression changed.

She stared at Max with visible shock.

"I did not expect you to be this fast," she said as she steadied her stance after the missed strike.

For the first time since she had begun fighting challengers within the tower, someone had reacted to her opening attack.

Every opponent she had faced before had fallen into the same pattern. Her speed had always been too overwhelming for them. Most of them would already be injured by the time she launched her first strike, and once she moved into her third attack the battle would end with their deaths.

That had been the same plan she intended to use against Max.

Yet the young man standing before her had completely broken that expectation.

Despite possessing only the cultivation of the third level of the Rebirth Realm, which made him appear weaker than any challenger she had previously encountered, he was the first person who had managed to dodge her initial strike.

The realization left her staring at him with stunned disbelief.

"Show me everything you have got," Max said with a calm smile.

"As you say," his mother replied.

The moment her voice fell, the aura surrounding her body changed completely. A surge of radiant golden light erupted outward as she activated her Heavenly Luminance Sacred Bloodline. The energy poured from within her like a rising tide, filling the arena with brilliant luminance.

The golden radiance did not simply shine around her body. It condensed rapidly into tangible forms as profound power gathered in the space surrounding her.

Swords began to appear.

One after another, blades made entirely of golden light formed in the air around her. Each sword looked sharp and elegant, their surfaces glowing with a sacred brilliance that radiated authority. The weapons hovered silently, yet every one of them carried an overwhelming aura that hinted at terrifying destructive power.

Within moments dozens of these golden swords surrounded her figure.

They floated in a circular formation like a silent army awaiting command. The glow of the swords illuminated the battlefield, casting long streaks of light across the ground while the power of her bloodline continued to pulse through the air.

Max watched the scene carefully.

Then his expression shifted slightly as he felt a strange reaction within his body.

'My own bloodline is reacting to her royal bloodline,' Max realized with a faint frown.

The moment the Heavenly Luminance Sacred Bloodline awakened before him, something deep within his body stirred. His blood pulsed with unusual intensity as if responding to the presence of her power. The sensation was familiar.

He had felt something similar before.

'This is the same feeling I experienced when I was near Lenavira,' Max thought quietly.

Memories surfaced in his mind as he tried to understand the reaction.

'From what I know, Lenavira inherited my mother's divine bloodline after she abandoned her own bloodline.'

His thoughts deepened as he continued to analyze the situation.

'I awakened the same bloodline as my mother. However my mother once told me that my bloodline is an evolved version of hers. It is stronger and more complete.'

That fact had been the reason the elven race had targeted him.

Because of the potential contained within his bloodline, the elves had attacked his family and forcibly extracted the bloodline from his body.

The memory of that moment remained etched in his heart.

Even though he had later managed to awaken his divine bloodline again through the Divine Fragments, something had always felt slightly incomplete within him.

Max had always noticed that faint imperfection.

His Heavenly Luminance Divine Bloodline had been fully awakened, yet somewhere deep inside he felt that the origin of the bloodline was not entirely whole.

Now as he stood before his mother and sensed the power of her bloodline directly, that feeling became far stronger.

'This sense of incompleteness becomes very clear when I sense my mother's bloodline,' Max thought.

Even though his version of the bloodline was theoretically a stronger variant, the resonance between their powers revealed a hidden truth.

Something that originally belonged to him was missing.

'It seems the only way to truly complete my bloodline is to take back what once belonged to me,' Max concluded quietly as the memories of the past resurfaced in his mind.

'I need to retrieve the original source bloodline that was taken from my body.'

His gaze hardened slightly as he looked at the woman standing before him.

'Only when that source bloodline returns to me will this feeling of incompleteness finally disappear.'

"Be prepared," she warned Max as her expression turned serious.

The moment her voice fell, the dozens of golden swords hovering around her body began to move.

A powerful hum filled the arena as the weapons responded to her will. The blades that had been floating silently in the air suddenly shifted their positions and pointed directly toward Max. Each sword shone with intense golden radiance as the energy within them surged violently.

Then they descended.

The swords shot downward one after another with incredible speed. Their movements were sharp and precise as though guided by an invisible hand. As the blades rushed forward, their glowing trails streaked through the air like falling comets.

Within moments the entire sky above Max was filled with golden swords.

The radiant weapons poured down toward him from every direction. Some descended from directly above while others curved through the air at angles that would cut off any possible escape. The battlefield seemed to be engulfed by a storm of golden light as the swords rained down with unstoppable force.

Each blade carried immense power drawn from the Heavenly Luminance Sacred Bloodline. The energy surrounding them radiated an oppressive aura that could easily pierce through the defenses of an ordinary cultivator.

Moreover each of these golden sword constructs contained the 5th level concept of light making the attack even more lethal.

The ground beneath Max trembled as the pressure of the descending swords filled the arena. The golden radiance illuminated everything around him, making it seem as though the entire sky had turned into a sea of divine weapons ready to strike.

Standing at the center of that storm of swords, Max looked upward as the rain of golden blades rushed toward him.
