Chapter 1578 A Proposal!
Chapter 1578 A Proposal!
"Who are you?"
The question came from one of the Primarchs, his voice deep and filled with restrained authority. Unlike the other primordials, none of the four recognized the man standing before them.
That alone was unsettling.
What troubled them even more was his appearance. He did not resemble a human, nor did he bear the characteristics of a primordial. He was nothing like the devils they had been fighting for years either. Everything about him felt foreign, as though he did not belong to any known race within their universe.
To the four Primarchs, Kazreth was an unknown existence.
And unknown meant dangerous.
Their gazes sharpened as they studied him, each of them silently raising their guard to the highest level.
Kazreth, however, remained completely at ease.
A faint smile rested on his face as he spoke in a calm, almost casual tone. "I am Kazreth. I am the one who guided the devils to this universe. Everything that has happened here began because of me."
A heavy silence followed his words.
The air itself seemed to grow colder.
Then one of the Primarchs stepped forward. It was the first primarch.
His aura surged outward like a tidal wave, causing the battlefield to tremble beneath his presence. The ground cracked beneath his feet as he raised his weapon, his eyes burning with killing intent.
"So you are the source of this calamity," the Primarch said, his voice cold and unwavering as he fixed his gaze on Kazreth. "Then there is no need for further words. We will cleanse this world of you and bring this war to an end."
As his words fell, the third eye at the center of his forehead slowly opened.
A brilliant radiance gathered within it.
Then, without hesitation, a beam of light surged forth.
It did not move like an ordinary attack.
As it cut through the battlefield, it gave the terrifying impression that reality itself was being consumed in its path. Space distorted around it, bending and collapsing as though unable to withstand its passage. Everything in its trajectory seemed destined to be erased.
The beam struck Kazreth directly.
Yet in the very next moment, it scattered.
The radiant energy broke apart into fragments of fading light and vanished as if it had never existed. There was no explosion, no resistance, and no visible defense. It simply ceased to have any effect the instant it made contact with him.
Kazreth remained standing in place, completely unharmed.
The four Primarchs fell silent.
Shock appeared in their eyes, and a realization began to form within their minds.
Kazreth smiled faintly as he observed their reaction.
"It seems you have already understood," he said calmly. "I am an existence similar to the four of you. However, this body you see is not my true form. It is merely a clone that I created in order to enter your universe. As you should already know, beings like us cannot cross into another universe with our original bodies unless the barrier separating them ceases to exist."
His tone remained composed as he continued.
"In this form, I am still far weaker than you. To you, I am little more than an ant. However, I did not come here to fight. I came with a proposition."
One of the Primarchs, the only woman among them, stepped forward slightly. Her eyes were sharp, her expression filled with caution.
"And what makes you believe we would listen to your proposal instead of destroying you where you stand?" she asked.
Kazreth gave a small shrug, as though the matter did not concern him.
"If you are willing to continue enduring endless invasions from the devils and eventually from my own race as well, then you are free to kill me," he replied in an almost indifferent tone.
Those words caused the expressions of the four Primarchs to turn solemn.
The weight behind them was unmistakable.
After a brief silence, the fourth Primarch spoke.
"What do you want?" he asked.
Kazreth's gaze lifted slightly, as though he were looking beyond the battlefield itself.
"It is quite simple," he said. "For reasons we do not yet fully understand, all of our universes appear to be connected by a force beyond our comprehension. It is a power older than us, greater than us, something that exists beyond the limits of what we know."
He paused for a moment before continuing.
"And I believe that your universe lies at the center of that connection. Because of that, it may be the only place from which that power can be reached."
His eyes shifted toward the distance, toward the direction of the Ascension Tunnel.
"I believe the key to reaching that source lies within the Ascension Tunnel," he said calmly. "Tell me, are you not curious? A power that is older than beings like us, stronger than everything we have ever known. Does that not intrigue you?"
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"By all logic, such a thing should not exist. And yet, it does. It stands right before us, hidden in plain sight."
The four Primarchs fell into silence after hearing Kazreth's words.
Their expressions were no longer as steady as before. What he had revealed was not something that could be dismissed lightly. A power older than them, a force that connected multiple universes, and the possibility that their own universe stood at the center of it all was enough to shake even beings of their level.
They did not respond immediately.
Instead, they communicated among themselves in secret, their thoughts exchanging at a speed far beyond words. Their gazes remained fixed on Kazreth, but beneath that stillness, a silent discussion unfolded, weighing the risks, the implications, and the truth behind his claims.
Moments later, they reached a conclusion.
"We reject your proposal," one of the Primarchs said, his voice firm and resolute.
Kazreth's expression changed slightly.
A faint frown appeared on his face, though there was no real surprise in his eyes.
"I had a feeling you would say that," he replied calmly.
As he spoke, something appeared in his hand.
It was a small object, perfectly shaped like a cube, yet the moment it came into existence, it did not remain still. It floated into the air and began to transform continuously. Its edges softened and reshaped, shifting from a cube into a sphere, then into a cylinder, then into a prism, and then into forms that defied simple definition.
It never stopped changing.
At the same time, a strange force spread outward from it.
A transparent field formed instantly, expanding in all directions until it enclosed all four Primarchs within it. The space inside that barrier seemed slightly distorted, as though reality itself had become unstable within its confines.
"What is this?" one of the Primarchs demanded.
Without hesitation, he struck the barrier with his fist.
The impact was immense, carrying enough power to shatter mountains and tear apart space, yet the forcefield did not move even slightly. The energy of the strike was absorbed and dispersed as though it had never existed.
The other three Primarchs' expressions shifted to shock.
They immediately understood that this was no ordinary restraint.
