Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1976: Who was the First Progenitor?!

Chapter 1976: Who was the First Progenitor?!

The Dimensional Keeper legacy had always felt strange. It wasn’t like his Black Dragon Chaotic Bloodline. It wasn’t like his Heavenly Luminance Divine Bloodline. It wasn’t even like his Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline.

Those powers had sources, traits, and growth paths he could at least make sense of. The Dimensional Keeper legacy was different. It felt vast, ancient, and hidden in a way that went beyond ordinary inheritance.

Back then, he’d just assumed the legacy was powerful beyond his current level. Now he wasn’t so sure.

He looked toward the statue of the First Progenitor. It still glowed. Its eyes stayed closed, but the star-like light running through its stone body made it look less like a lifeless sculpture and more like a sleeping presence that had noticed him. That reaction made Max uneasy. Not because it felt hostile, but because it felt too familiar, like the statue was waiting for something from him.

’The true sacred legacy was lost after those Voidwalker members ran off with it,’ Max thought. ’But why did the legacy choose the Voidwalker Clan in the first place? Why did it possess them? Why did it leave the five clans? And if what I carry isn’t that legacy, why does it feel so similar?’

His thoughts dug deeper. What was the sacred legacy even about?

The Voidwalker Ancestor had said it wasn’t a simple martial art or inheritance technique. It was the deepest thing the First Progenitor had left behind, the core inheritance holding the reason the five sacred bloodlines existed and the secret of what the First Progenitor truly carried.

That sentence bothered Max the most. The reason the five sacred bloodlines existed. The secret of what the First Progenitor truly carried.

Max slowly lifted his dragon head and looked at the glowing stone figure towering over the arena.

Who was the First Progenitor?

Rose had told him the Four Sacred Clans didn’t descend from Primordials like ordinary humans. They descended from the First Progenitor. Their forbidden bloodlines came from him. The Four Sacred Clans, or really the Five Sacred Clans, could rival Primordials despite lacking Primordial Race bloodline because they carried that forbidden source instead.

But what kind of man could stand outside the Primordial origin of humanity? If humans came from Primordials who’d given up their bloodline to become mortal and have children, where did the First Progenitor fit into that history?

Was he a Primordial? Was he something beyond the Primordials? Was he the first true human? Or was he something else entirely?

Max felt the Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline inside him stir faintly as he turned the question over. The bloodline he’d gotten from the Primarchs made him closer to the laws of the world and multiplied his strength tenfold, but standing in front of the First Progenitor’s statue, even that Primarch-level bloodline had reacted. It hadn’t rejected the statue, but it hadn’t fully submitted either. It had trembled, pulsed, and seemed to acknowledge that the figure before it wasn’t simple.

The more Max thought about it, the heavier his heart grew.

’Even the Primordials might not know the full truth about this man.’

The arena stayed silent around him. The young geniuses of the Four Sacred Clans were still frozen in shock after hearing the Voidwalker Ancestor’s explanation. Cassian Valerius sat with his brows tightly furrowed, no longer carrying the calm pride of the Sun-Crowned Heir.

Draven Ashbourne’s fists stayed clenched, but for once there was no battle hunger on his face, only rare seriousness. Seraphine Ravenhart’s silver-purple eyes looked distant, as if she were digging through fragments of fate and memory for something her clan had never let her see.

Aelric Evercrest’s face stayed pale, his loss to Max now almost forgotten next to the collapse of the history he’d believed his whole life.

Rose stayed quiet too. She looked at the Evercrest elders around her, then at the Voidwalker Ancestor, then at Max’s huge dragon body. She’d grown up cast aside by the Evercrest Clan for being born without the forbidden bloodline, but now she realized the sacred clans’ cruelty wasn’t simply personal.

Their entire history had been built on selective memory, fear, and punishment that could stretch across countless generations.

Freya stayed in the sky, watching Max. Her expression was calm, but Max could feel the emotion underneath it. She’d known more than him.

Maybe she’d carried this weight for years. Maybe she’d wanted to tell him and couldn’t. Maybe she’d warned him not to reveal the Voidwalker name because she knew exactly what would happen if the Four Sacred Clans recognized him.

Max wanted to ask her everything. But first, he needed to understand the core of this mystery.

His gaze went back to the Voidwalker Ancestor. The old man stood above the awakened fifth end, still looking at Max with a complicated expression. There was relief in his eyes, but also uncertainty. He clearly knew a lot about the Voidwalker Clan and the sacred legacy, yet even he didn’t fully understand the power Max carried.

Max spoke slowly. His dragon voice rumbled across the arena, deep and heavy.

"If what I carry isn’t the sacred legacy, then what happened to the real sacred legacy after it disappeared?"

The Voidwalker Ancestor’s gaze shifted slightly.

Max continued, "You said those Voidwalker members were influenced by it. You said they stole it and fled. You said it was lost after that. But something like that shouldn’t just vanish forever. If it was powerful enough to possess members of your clan and make them break the seal of the Five Sacred Clans, it must have had a purpose."

The old man didn’t answer right away.

Max’s eyes moved back to the statue.

"And what exactly is the sacred legacy? What did the First Progenitor leave behind that made the Five Sacred Clans guard it for countless years? What did it choose those Voidwalkers for? What did it actually want?"

His voice dropped lower.

"And who was the First Progenitor?"

That final question hit the arena harder than all the rest. The younger descendants immediately looked toward the statue. To them, the First Progenitor had always been a sacred figure, the origin of their clans, the source of their forbidden bloodlines, and the ancestor whose name stood above everything else.

But because he was so sacred, nobody ever questioned him. They worshiped him. They inherited from him. They carried his bloodline branches. But how many of them actually knew who he really was?

The four sacred ancestors grew visibly tense. The Valerius ancestor’s sacred light flickered. The Ashbourne ancestor lowered his gaze. The Ravenhart ancestor’s shadow went still. The Evercrest ancestor looked at the statue with an expression carrying both reverence and fear.

Their reactions told Max one thing clearly. They knew something. Maybe not everything, but enough to make them afraid of the question.
