Chapter 2053: A Good Win!
Chapter 2053: A Good Win!
Revona also understood that ordinary nullification wasn’t enough anymore. If she kept fighting defensively, Virgil would eventually use his strengthened body and Pseudo Cosmic Path to suppress her. His current state ran far too durable, and even if she erased part of his power each time, his physical strength would still push her into a losing position.
So she stopped retreating.
The silver-black glow in her eyes spread outward. A circle of dark light appeared beneath her feet. Then another appeared above her. The space around her changed.
"Void Origin Realm, Null Origin Tide."
A tide of silver-black energy spread from Revona’s body and swept across the arena. It didn’t roar like fire. It didn’t crash like water. It moved silently, but wherever it passed, the energy in the arena began disappearing.
The remnants of Virgil’s dragon aura faded. The heavy pressure of the Ancient Dragon Mountain Body weakened. Even the bronze-green light covering his scales trembled violently as the tide touched it.
Virgil’s expression changed. He immediately raised both arms and released a wave of dragon energy to push the tide back, but the moment his attack touched the Null Origin Tide, it dissolved into nothing. No explosion, no collision, no struggle. The dragon energy simply vanished, like it had never existed.
The crowd fell silent for a breath. Then shocked voices erupted.
"What kind of ability is that?"
"It turned his attack into nothing."
"Even the power of a Pseudo Cosmic Path is getting weakened."
Bregor’s expression darkened slightly.
Daniel smiled faintly. "So this is part of her real strength."
Inside the arena, Virgil roared and pushed the Ancient Dragon Mountain Body harder. The dragon mountain illusion behind him sharpened, and his entire body shone with bronze-green light. He charged forward with everything he had, relying on his transformed body to force his way through the tide.
For a moment, he succeeded. The Null Origin Tide erased the energy around him, but his dragon body endured the pressure. His scales cracked, his aura weakened, and his movements slowed, yet he kept pushing forward step by step, refusing to fall.
Revona’s eyes stayed calm. "You’re strong," she said.
Virgil bared his teeth. "Then beat me if you can."
Revona lifted her hand. The silver-black circle beneath her expanded once more. This time, the aura around her changed completely. If Null Origin Tide was a silent wave that erased attacks, then what appeared now felt like a law of final ending.
The space around Virgil darkened. The virtual arena beneath his feet lost its color. Even the dragon mountain illusion behind him started to blur, as if it were being pulled toward a place where form, energy, and existence itself could no longer hold on.
Revona’s voice came calm but cold. "Void Origin Realm, Return to Nothing."
The domain descended. Everything inside it began returning to nothingness. Virgil’s dragon energy disappeared first. Then the bronze-green light around his scales vanished. The massive dragon mountain illusion behind him trembled, cracked, and collapsed silently.
His strengthened body held on for a moment longer, but even the power supporting his Half-Dragon Transformation began to unravel. His scales dimmed. His claws lost their glow. The crushing pressure of the Ancient Dragon Mountain Body faded, as if it had been swallowed by an endless void.
Virgil’s eyes went wide. He tried to roar, but no sound came out. He tried to move, but the space around him had already been stripped of force and momentum.
Revona stepped forward and pointed two fingers toward him. "End."
A thin silver-black beam shot out and touched Virgil’s chest. There was no violent explosion. Just a quiet collapse. The remaining defense around Virgil disappeared completely, and his body got thrown backward across the arena.
He crashed onto the ground, his Half-Dragon Transformation broken, his Pseudo Cosmic Path suppressed, and his battle projection too damaged to keep going.
A clear voice echoed through the Battle Space.
"First battle concluded."
"Winner, Revona of the Primordial Universe."
For a moment, the plaza outside the Battle Space fell completely silent. Then the crowd erupted. The Dragon Race members stared at the projection with ugly expressions, unable to believe Virgil had lost even after using his Pseudo Cosmic Path.
The Primordials finally relaxed, several of them breaking into open smiles. The devils who’d been waiting to mock the result narrowed their eyes in thought, while the angels and spirits looked at Revona with renewed seriousness.
On the raised platform, Shreya’s gaze stayed on Revona for several seconds. "Void Origin Eyes," she murmured softly. "So the Primordial newcomers aren’t so simple this time."
Bregor’s expression turned colder.
Daniel smiled, though his eyes stayed thoughtful.
Anna let out a slow breath. "She won, but she showed more than I wanted her to."
Max looked at Revona’s figure on the projection. She’d won the first battle, but the victory hadn’t come easily. Virgil’s Dragon Race body, Half-Dragon Transformation, and Pseudo Cosmic Path had forced her to reveal a deeper part of her strength.
’I have a feeling that with her memories of past lives waking up more and more, she probably has plenty of trump cards by now,’ Max mused.
After Revona’s victory got announced, the enormous projection above the Battle Space dimmed briefly before her figure reappeared in the plaza.
A circle of silver runes opened beneath her feet, and in the next breath, she got teleported back to the Primordial side. Her real body hadn’t been harmed, but her expression still carried the faint exhaustion left behind by the intense battle projection.
The Battle Space didn’t truly kill anyone, but the pressure, pain, and spiritual burden of combat still felt real enough to affect a person’s mind and aura.
The bronze mark on Revona’s wrist glowed brightly. The number inside it changed again. After winning the personal wager against Virgil, her mark count had climbed by another two hundred Bronze Marks.
For a newcomer, that already counted as a considerable fortune, and plenty of people in the crowd eyed her wrist with obvious envy. Still, no one dared move recklessly. This was Bloodstone City, and standing beside Revona were Daniel and Anna.
