Chapter 1061:- Don’t Bite the hand that fed you
Chapter 1061:- Don’t Bite the hand that fed you
"We have to stop the nobles from signing the Charter of Noble reinstatement." Ren looked at Leo and demanded in an angry tone.
He was so furious that he stormed into the current base of the organisation to meet Leo.
"Ren, please sit down. We can discuss this calmly." Compared to Ren, Leo remained calm. Before Ren rudely barged in, Leo was enjoying a cup of black coffee. Leo was already a little bit displeased by the fact that Ren barged into the room without even a proper knocking on the door.
"Leo, this is very serious. Send men to crush Aditya Harrington and the rest of the family."
"I don’t want any member of the Harrington family to live." Ren refuses to sit down. Because to him, this matter was so serious that he could not bring himself to calm down enough to sit on the chair and talk calmly with Leo.
"Whether it’s women, the elderly, men or even the children, no one should live."
Just 10 minutes after returning to the Royal Palace, Emperor Ren learned that Aditya had managed to get 61 Dukes and Duchesses to stand by his side. This meant that he had more than 50% support from nobles of the Empire, and once they sign the agreement, Aditya can legally stay in the Celestial Dragon Empire.
Just hearing that news was enough to infuriate him to an unbelievable degree. The anger building inside him became so intense that, for the first time, he even raised his hand at the woman he loved when she tried to calm him down. This was the same woman who had stayed beside him for years, and no matter how difficult or stressful things became in the past, he had never once shown this side of himself to her.
But today was different.
He was already in a terrible mood after being humiliated by Aditya in front of everyone. That humiliation had deeply wounded his pride, and the frustration from it had not faded even slightly. Every time he remembered the way Aditya had spoken and looked at him, the anger inside him only became worse.
What truly pushed him over the edge, however, was learning that Leo had hidden such an important detail from him. Leo never told him that Aditya already knew about him and that the two had interacted before. To him, this felt like a betrayal and a deliberate concealment of information. The realisation made his blood boil even more, because it meant that while he was trying to understand the situation, others already knew far more than he did.
If he knew about this, then he wouldn’t have been humuliated by Aditya of all people today.
But he wasn’t here to confront Leo about this matter. He was here to get Leo to mobilise the entire force of the organisation to kill Aditya and the rest of the Harrington family. This time, Aditya must not live.
"If necessary, we will blow up the entire city. As the Emperor, I will cover things." Ren just did not care. If it was necessary, he was ready to sacrifice millions of people just to make sure that Aditya and the rest of his group were dead tonight.
Harrington was the backbone of the Civil War, while Aditya was the reason that united everyone together. One represented overwhelming strength and influence, while the other gave people a cause to rally behind. Together, they formed the core of the entire resistance against Ren.
Ren was smart enough to understand this clearly. In his eyes, if both Harrington and Aditya were removed from the equation, then the Civil War itself would collapse before it could truly begin. Most of the nobles supporting Aditya were not prepared to continue fighting on their own. Without the person who united them and the man who acted as their greatest pillar of support, many of them would either switch their allegiance back to Ren or immediately choose to remain neutral to protect themselves.
Once those two were gone, everything else would fall apart naturally. The unity holding the opposing side together would disappear, and without needing to fight a large-scale war, Ren would already have won. In a way, the Civil War would end before it had even properly begun.
"Can you relax?" Leo had had enough of his attitude. This isn’t the kind of attitude that one should have, especially when asking for help.
"How can I relax knowing that when the Civil War starts, I will have to fight a very brutal war?" he was not afraid of war, but he was afraid of the casualties that the Civil War would bring.
Ren was someone who wanted to stay at the top of the mountain and to stay at the top of the mountain. He needed a powerful army to back him.
Without his army, holding the weight of the mountain on top of which he is sitting, he’s nothing. There is no emperor of the most powerful empire in the world without its army.
He had originally envisioned a future in which Aditya is eliminated very early on, and this whole Civil War matter is put to rest.
Without another member of the royal bloodline to challenge him, the forces against him won’t be unified anymore.
Leo was so pissed by Ren’s attitude that he wanted to slap him across the face and remind him who he was talking to.
"Look, we have already made a really good and solid plan to take care of Aditya, but if we attack now, then all the planning that we did in the last two months will be for nothing."
"I don’t care about that plan. I want Aditya to be killed before all the nobles supporting him come and sign the agreement."
Seeing Ren act like a spoiled brat pushed Leo to the edge.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Leo released his violent killing intent. A man who has lived 1 million years has killed countless beings. His killing intent is no joke.
Ren’s face turned pale. In front of Leo, he did not even dare to use his own killing intent to resist.
At that moment, he had realised that blinded by hatred and anger towards Aditya. He had completely forgotten their places and positions in this organisation.
"Without me and the support of this organisation, you are nothing."
"Do you even realise that if I had not supported you, you would still be just a glorified number two who would need to stand by the throne, not sit on it
"Do you realise that if I had not helped in controlling the minds of Aditya’s parents, you would be just a glorified cousin?"
"You say you want to stand at the top of the mountain, but without this organisation, you will be at the very bottom of the mountain. People wouldn’t even look at a worthless man like you." Without his identity, Ren was nothing.
"Bitch I spent 1 million years building this organisation not to serve you and your stupid little cause."
"The very purpose of this organisation is to collect the four pearls."
"You are nothing but a replaceable product that I created so that we can get the third pearl." Hearing all these harsh but true words, the emperor’s face looked uglier than eating shit.
As the emperor, he was very furious, but what could he do? The answer is nothing.
He was not yet in a position where he could bite the very hand that raised and fed him.
The organisation had such a tight grip around his neck that the very moment he even thought of rebelling, or when Leo felt like a tool, he was no longer useful, he would be put down. Unfortunately, in his thirst and deep desire for the throne, he had overlooked this.
It was only when he found himself at odds with the organisation that he realised how much of a big mistake he had made. Yes, he felt regret, but that regret did not come from the fact that he betrayed his own blood and flesh. That regret came from the fact that it took him such a long time to realise that he was nothing but a disposable tool to the organisation.
He was foolish enough to believe that the organisation supported him because the organisation needed the strength of the celestial dragon empire. But in reality, this was never really the case.
"How dare a mere disposable tool come to my office and angrily demand how I run things?"
"Bitch did becoming the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire make you think that I serve you?" Ren could not reply. He could only tightly clenched his fists, look down and bury the anger that was rising in his heart.
