Chapter 1118:- Compensation From Chimera Shadow Sect

Chapter 1118: Chapter 1118:- Compensation From Chimera Shadow Sect

Aditya leaned back in his wooden chair and looked up at the beautiful blue sky above. His attention was no longer on the Chimera Shadow Sect or the battle taking place around him. Instead, his mind had already moved on to what would come next. With the Night Rider Sect already destroyed and the Chimera Shadow Sect on the verge of collapse, he began planning his next move and the challenges that awaited him after today.

While he was lost in thought, a figure suddenly came crashing toward him at tremendous speed.

Boooooom!!!

The man slammed into the ground right before Aditya’s feet, creating a small crater as dust and broken stone flew in every direction. The person who had sent him flying was Luo Han.

As for the man lying miserably before Aditya, dressed in white robes stained with blood and dust, he was none other than the Sect Leader of the Chimera Shadow Sect…

Ken.

“Sect Leader,” Aditya said with a smile as he looked at the seriously injured Ken lying before him.

Ken’s condition was miserable. His left arm had been torn off completely, while the bones in his right leg had been crushed into tiny fragments. His white robes were completely soaked in blood, making it difficult to tell what their original color had been.

His face was swollen and disfigured beyond recognition, and blood continuously flowed from the corners of his mouth. The violent blows had also caused severe internal injuries that damaged his cultivation foundation, forcing his cultivation to fall from Peak 6th-order all the way down to Beginner 6th-order.

Before Ken could even gather his thoughts…

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Ten more figures came crashing down around Aditya one after another, each impact shaking the ground beneath them.

Compared to Ken, their conditions were even more miserable.

Every single Elder had their cultivation completely destroyed. Some had lost an arm, others had lost a leg, while a few had been crippled even further, losing both an arm and a leg. They lay scattered across the ground, screaming in pain or coughing up blood, no longer looking like the respected Elders of one of the Main Continent’s cultivation sects.

Seeing some elders missing both an arm and a leg, Aditya immediately understood who was responsible. This had Malakor Harrington’s handiwork written all over it. Malakor was not simply defeating them. He was repaying every bit of suffering his family had endured.

Aditya had lost an arm and a leg. Wahid had nearly lost his life and had his cultivation destroyed. Now, Malakor was making sure the people responsible experienced a similar fate before their cultivations were taken away forever.

“Aditya… please spare us,” Ken pleaded in a weak and desperate voice.

Before Aditya could even respond, Ken hurriedly continued, afraid that even a moment’s hesitation would cost him his life.

“The Chimera Shadow Sect is willing to sincerely apologise and compensate for everything our foolish former Sect Leader did. We are willing to pay any price within our ability. Please… spare our sect.” By the end of his sentence, Ken was on the verge of tears.

Aditya quietly listened to his plea before a faint smile appeared on his face.

In truth, he had never intended to completely destroy the Chimera Shadow Sect. What had happened today was already more than enough to begin the sect’s downfall. Without its Elders and without any true powerhouse left to support it, the Chimera Shadow Sect would slowly decline on its own. There was no need for him to wipe out every last disciple.

“I have two conditions,” Aditya said calmly. “First, I want half of all the wealth stored in your sect’s treasury. Second, I will take every Storage Ring belonging to all of the Elders.”

He looked directly into Ken’s eyes before asking in an indifferent tone.

“Do you have any objections?” Ken hurriedly lowered his head and shook it without the slightest hesitation.

“I have no objections.” He replied immediately. At this moment, he neither had the qualifications nor the courage to negotiate.

There was an old saying that beggars could not be choosers. Right now, that saying perfectly described the Chimera Shadow Sect.

They were the ones begging for mercy, while Aditya was the one deciding whether they lived or died. In such a situation, Ken understood that he was in no position to bargain over any of Aditya’s demands. The only thing he could do was accept them and pray that it would be enough to save what remained of his sect.

“I also want every high-grade rare herb and every high-grade alchemy material in your sect.”

Ken silently nodded his head.

“I have no use for the low-grade ones. You can keep those. I only want the high-grade materials.” Aditya could get the low-grade ones anywhere within the Main Continent. His main objective was to get high-grade alchemy materials for His wife, the Goddess of Alchemy.

Julia would be absolutely thrilled by his present. Just thinking about her bright and happy smile put a smile on his face.

“Any objections?”

“No, Sir.” Ken did not even dare to look at Aditya.

“Good.”

“My subordinates will also take any treasures or artefacts that catch their interest.” Ken could only nod his head. This was a pure robbery disguised as compensation. There was nothing to be done about this. He could only bitterly accept their fate.

“Anya. Zain. Luo Han. Please go with Mr Ken and collect the compensation.”

“Yes, My Lord.” Ken slowly stood up with great difficulty. His expression was filled with bitterness, but he did not dare show the slightest dissatisfaction.

What else could he do?

All of the Elders had lost their cultivation. With the fall of the sect’s strongest experts, the Chimera Shadow Sect had instantly lost nearly ninety per cent of its overall strength. Recovering from such a devastating blow would take decades, if not centuries. In fact, Ken was not even sure the sect would ever recover. It was entirely possible that from this day onward, the Chimera Shadow Sect would only continue declining until it disappeared from history.

Throughout most of its existence, the sect had relied heavily on its alliance with the Celestial Dragon Empire. That alliance had protected their territory, their lands, their interests, and their disciples from countless outside threats. It was the reason no major force had dared to target them despite the sect never being among the strongest on the Main Continent.

But everything had changed today.

Without the protection of the Celestial Dragon Empire, the Chimera Shadow Sect would be forced to stand on its own. More importantly, without its Elders, the sect no longer possessed the strength to defend itself. Even if another force decided to invade tomorrow, there would be no one left capable of stopping them.

This day marked the beginning of the Chimera Shadow Sect’s inevitable downfall. For thousands of years, they had survived not because they were the strongest cultivation sect on the Main Continent, but because of the alliance their former Sect Leader had signed with the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire. That agreement had acted as a shield, protecting the sect from countless enemies.

Now, that shield was gone. They no longer had anyone standing behind them.

They no longer had an umbrella to hide beneath when storms and threats poured down like endless rain.

From this day onward, the Chimera Shadow Sect would have to face the world on its own.

“Understood.” Aditya’s three subordinates replied before leaving the destroyed marketplace alongside Sect Leader Ken to collect the compensation.

“The wealth we obtained from both cultivation sects should be enough to fund our entire civil war campaign without asking any of the noble houses to spend their own money,” Aditya said as he looked at Boris.

By doing this, he could greatly reduce the debt he would owe to the noble houses supporting his claim to the throne.

After all, every coin, resource, and soldier they invested in helping him become the next Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire would eventually have to be repaid. Whether it was through money, land, cultivation resources, or political favours, Aditya understood that nothing in this world came for free. The fewer obligations he accumulated before the civil war, the easier it would be to govern the empire after his victory.

More importantly, the balance of power had already begun shifting in his favour.

Under his command, Aditya now had four powerful 7th-order cultivators. Combined with the strength of Boris, Malakor Harrington, and Wahid, his faction now possessed seven 7th-order powerhouses in total. With that level of strength, they were finally capable of standing on equal footing against the Emperor and the National Treasures who served under his command.

As for what happened to the Chimera Shadow Sect after today, Aditya simply did not care. To him, their fate was no longer important.

Just like the Night Rider Sect, he also had a long history with the Chimera Shadow Sect. Back when he was still living on the Six Continents, the sect had sent its disciples to recruit him. However, instead of treating him with respect, those disciples had looked down on him and insulted him simply because he came from the Six Continents.

Aditya had never forgotten that incident. He had never forgotten the arrogance they displayed or the disrespect they had shown him. Perhaps the Sect itself had long since forgotten what they had done, but Aditya had not.

He remembered every bit of it. Today’s events were simply another chapter in the long list of debts between him and the Chimera Shadow Sect.
