Chapter 1138:- Prime Minister & Dragon Monarch

Chapter 1138: Chapter 1138:- Prime Minister & Dragon Monarch

In the evening, Aditya finally managed to find some time to be alone with Spencer and Nathan. No matter how close he was to his family or how much he trusted them, he still felt that there were certain matters that needed to be discussed only when the three of them were alone and away from everyone else’s ears.

After all, some of the matters they were going to talk about weren’t going to be sweet or pleasant things. Their conversation would inevitably touch upon the darker and uglier side of the Empire, the kind of matters that Nathan, as the Captain of the Shadow Guardian Division, was personally responsible for cleaning up and handling from the shadows.

“I certainly did not expect you to reach Beginner Fifth Order.” Aditya said while looking at Spencer. He truly hadn’t been expecting anyone from the Dragon Palace to arrive here. Nevertheless, seeing his own people had made him extremely happy, especially since the two standing before him were the ones he trusted the most.

“Well, I decided to take the Dragon Grass.” Spencer explained. Without consuming the Dragon Grass, it would have been impossible for him to reach Beginner Fifth Order this quickly. At the very least, he would have needed several more months of continuous cultivation before finally reaching the Beginner Fifth Order.

Spencer’s talent for cultivation had always been lacking. His true talent lay in being the Prime Minister, a role that perfectly suited his abilities and intelligence. He possessed an exceptionally sharp mind, and much like Aditya, he could remember almost everything that he read. This remarkable ability allowed him to excel and thrive in his position as the Prime Minister, where his intelligence and extraordinary memory proved far more valuable than raw cultivation talent.

However, cultivation wasn’t simply about remembering things and then applying that knowledge. If Spencer couldn’t even perform the basic process of cultivation by drawing Mana into his body and refining it, then, regardless of how brilliant his mind was, his intelligence would be completely useless when it came to advancing his cultivation.

It was only because Aditya had used his Dragon Divine Blood to transform Spencer into a Dragonian that he had been able to make such significant progress in his cultivation. Otherwise, considering his original talent, even reaching the Fourth Order after cultivating for a few thousand years would have been nothing more than generous wishful thinking.

“We decided to cultivate the dragon grass because we want our own to benefit the most from it.” Aditya had no problem with Spencer taking the dragon grass. With the goddess of Nature, they could have as much dragon grass as they want and also of the highest quality.

“Moving on, tell me about the changes that took place in the Istarin Empire while I was away.” While speaking about the Istarin Empire, Aditya suddenly felt like he was missing his old lifestyle. His old lifestyle was mostly without any kind of drama or nonsense, like civil war. Within the six continents, he and his empire were the strongest.

This meant that no one would dare to do or think of anything to him or to his family or to his empire.

But coming here, it has been struggle after struggle. Not that he hated struggle, but who would struggle if they had a peaceful life where give a few hours to manage the administration work and then spend the rest of the day with his future wives and family.

“We decided to cultivate the Dragon Grass because we want our own people to benefit the most from it.” Aditya had absolutely no problem with Spencer consuming the Dragon Grass. With the Goddess of Nature on their side, they could obtain and cultivate as much Dragon Grass as they wanted, and more importantly, every Dragon Grass they produced could be of the highest quality.

“Moving on, tell me about the changes that took place in the Istarin Empire while I was away.” As he spoke about the Istarin Empire, Aditya suddenly felt as though he was beginning to miss his old lifestyle. His previous life in the Empire had mostly been peaceful and free from unnecessary drama or troublesome matters such as civil wars. Within the Six Continents, he and his Empire stood at the very top as the strongest force, and there was hardly anything capable of threatening their position.

This also meant that no one would dare to do anything to him, his family, or his Empire. In fact, most people wouldn’t even dare to entertain such thoughts, knowing very well what kind of consequences they would face if they ever attempted to harm anything that belonged to Aditya.

However, ever since coming here, it had been one struggle after another. It wasn’t as though Aditya hated struggling or facing difficulties, but if given the choice, who would willingly choose a life filled with constant struggles when they could instead live peacefully?

Back in the Istarin Empire, he only needed to spend a few hours managing administrative work before he could dedicate the rest of his day to spending time with his women and his family. Compared to the endless troubles he had faced here, that peaceful lifestyle now felt increasingly desirable.

“To be honest, with the news of you leaving for the Main Continent being suppressed and only known to the Royal Family and the Generals, the entire Six Continents are currently under the assumption that the Dragon Monarch is simply busy cultivating.”

“Well, even when you were there, it’s not like the outside world could get any information about what you or the Royal Family were doing.” Hearing Spencer’s words, Aditya couldn’t help but smirk slightly, knowing that what he had said was completely true.

Almost no information about the Royal Family, the Generals, or the top hierarchy of the Istarin Empire was known to the rest of the Six Continents. Most importantly, barely anything concerning Aditya himself was known to the outside world. From the very beginning, Aditya had always placed heavy emphasis on living a very private life and keeping everything surrounding him equally private, especially when it came to matters involving his family and the inner workings of the Empire.

“So, even if any faction or Empire had any desire to do something that could harm our interests, I doubt they would actually do it. After all, who would want to go against the Dragon Monarch?” Aditya smiled upon hearing those words before gently shaking his head and turning his gaze outside.

“As for the administrative work, you know that with me around, even if you didn’t return for half a year or an entire year, there wouldn’t be any issues.” Spencer took great pride in what he had just said, and the immense confidence that he had in his own abilities could clearly be heard through his voice.

He sounded extremely proud of himself, and considering everything that Spencer had done for the Istarin Empire over the years, his pride wasn’t without reason.

“You are the best Prime Minister that I could ever ask for.” Aditya sincerely praised Spencer, fully acknowledging the tremendous amount of work that he had done for both him and the entire Istarin Empire.

“However, now that you have also left the Six Continents and come here, I wonder who will be in charge of the management and administrative work?” Aditya’s tone was noticeably playful as he asked this question. Knowing Spencer and his personality, Aditya was certain that the Prime Minister would never leave his work or abandon his position unless he had already arranged some kind of suitable replacement to handle everything in his absence.

“Well, I have more than twenty-five assistants now. Each of them was handpicked by me, and they are the best talents in this field within our entire Empire.” Spencer calmly explained, clearly having made all the necessary preparations before deciding to leave the Six Continents and come here.

“I have left Watson in charge. However, his task won’t be that difficult because my assistants will do most of the work. He will simply need to go through everything.” With more than twenty-five talented assistants handling the majority of the administrative work, Watson’s responsibilities had been significantly reduced, leaving him mainly responsible for reviewing the work that they completed.

“It seems you’re having it very easy being the Prime Minister nowadays. I guess I’ll conquer another Empire and increase your workload.” Aditya casually remarked with a playful smile on his face, speaking about conquering an entire Empire as though he were talking about taking an evening stroll.

The proud expression on Spencer’s face instantly froze.

“I don’t feel comfortable seeing my friend being so free and happy. You look the best when you’re overexhausted and sleep-deprived.” Aditya continued in an extremely serious tone, even giving Spencer a small nod as though he had just stated an undeniable fact of life.

Spencer’s eyebrow violently twitched.

Nathan almost laughed out loud seeing Spencer’s reaction.

For a few long seconds, the Prime Minister simply stared at his Emperor in complete silence. The image of mountains of documents, endless reports, budget proposals, territorial management plans, and countless sleepless nights suddenly flashed through his mind. He could almost see his peaceful nights disappearing before his very eyes.

‘This bastard…!!’ Spencer nearly cursed out loud.

The pride that he had been displaying just moments ago completely vanished as his expression darkened. If Aditya wasn’t his Emperor and one of his closest friends, Spencer might have seriously considered strangling him right here and now.

“Your Majesty, sometimes I genuinely wonder if you consider me your friend or your personal administrative slave.” Spencer replied with a completely lifeless expression, looking like a man who had already lost all hope in the future.

“Maybe both!”

Hahahahha!!!!
