Chapter 1167: Chapter 1167:- Unable to Decide

‘I hate this situation.’

‘I hate the position that I have been put in.’

Those thoughts repeated inside Aditya’s mind as he continued to sit there in silence. For someone like him, who had always relied on his ability to control situations and determine the direction of events, being placed in a position where every choice carried a painful consequence was something he despised.

As the Dragon Monarch, Aditya had always believed that the person with enough strength and determination should be the one controlling their own fate. He hated uncertainty.

The Fall of the greatest Emperor of the past, the Crimson Dragon King was because of the organisation. And they did everything from the shadows until the very end. Even their existence records was completely wiped out from the books of the history.

Aditya could not even imagine what would happen if they succeeded.

If he was defeated and there was no one left capable of standing against Emperor Ren, who was nothing more than a puppet controlled by the organization, then the consequences would not be limited to the Istarin Empire or the Celestial Dragon Empire.

The entire world could suffer.

That was the part that made this decision even harder. Aditya was not only fighting for his own ambitions or his family. He was carrying the responsibility of stopping a threat that could grow beyond anyone’s ability to control. Yet despite understanding all of this, his heart still refused to accept the idea of sacrificing his parents.

But once again, Aditya found himself unable to make a decision.

For a long time, Aditya did not speak. He did not raise his head to look at his parents, nor did he look at anyone else in the room. He simply remained silent, with his gaze lowered and his thoughts trapped in a battle of their own.

Everyone understood that he needed time. No one tried to pressure him further because they knew that the decision placed before him was not something that could be answered easily.

Alen and Elena also stopped speaking. They knew how cruel this situation was for their son. They understood that they were asking Aditya to make a decision that no child should ever be forced to make.
