Chapter 1174: Chapter 1174:- Find Old Prime Minister

“Now, the problem is that the previous Prime Minister did not involve himself in politics or choose any side in this civil war. In fact, he completely avoided all attention. It was as if he had completely disappeared from the public eye.”

If he had been from one of the strongest noble families, he could have simply returned to his household, retained his connections, and continued influencing politics from behind the scenes.

But that was not the case. Without the authority of the Prime Minister position, he was simply an ordinary noble with no significant power.

And in the political world, especially within an empire where power and influence determined a person’s importance, people without status were quickly forgotten. No one would continue paying attention to a man who no longer had the ability to affect the direction of the empire.

For that reason, the previous Prime Minister choosing to disappear from the public eye made complete sense.

“Where do we find the Prime Minister?” Aditya asked as he himself had no idea.

“How would I know? I was inside the pocket dimension preparing myself for my death.” During that period, Boris had completely isolated himself from the outside world. He had not been following the political movements of the empire, nor had he paid attention to what happened after Ren became the emperor.

His entire focus had been on preparing for his final moments.

“Well, that makes sense.” Aditya felt like he had become stupid. Where was his sense of logic? Why did he even expect Boris to know about the Prime Minister

Considering Boris’s situation, it was understandable that he would not know about the current whereabouts of a former government official.

“I guess we have to ask someone else then.” Aditya said while looking back at the map.

If they wanted to use the previous Prime Minister as their method of entering the Imperial Royal Palace, then finding his location was their next priority. The problem was that the man who once stood at the centre of the empire’s political system had now become someone whose existence was barely known.

“Yes. However, our main objective in finding the old Prime Minister would be to learn whether Ren is keeping my parents inside their own bedroom or if he has moved them and locked them away somewhere else inside the Imperial Royal Palace. Only someone like the former Prime Minister, who spent years inside the palace and understood its internal structure, would have a chance of knowing something like this.”

Aditya explained. That was their most basic objective.

Their first priority was not even using the old Prime Minister as a way to enter the Imperial Royal Palace. The most important thing was obtaining information about Alen and Elena’s current situation. If they knew where Ren was keeping them, then their rescue plan would become much easier to execute.

“Maybe, by using his old connections and influence, there is a possibility that we can enter the Imperial Royal Palace while disguised.”

Boris added. “And if we can enter the Imperial Royal Palace using the Prime Minister, then that would be a huge bonus. It would save us a great deal of trouble.”

Having someone with a legitimate reason to enter the palace would remove many obstacles. Instead of forcing their way inside or relying entirely on infiltration, they could use the former Prime Minister’s identity and connections to create a much safer path.

However, Aditya suddenly became silent. “But I think we are forgetting something here.”

Boris looked at him. “And what would that be?”

He raised an eyebrow, waiting for his grandson’s thoughts. “We are overlooking the fact that there is a stupidly high possibility that Ren already became cautious about us attempting to get my parents back. He might have already changed their location entirely.”

Aditya’s expression became serious. “Or worse, the entire Imperial Royal Palace could be a trap set up for whoever tries to rescue my father and mother.”

He understood Ren’s personality. His cousin was not someone who would simply sit and wait if he suspected that someone might challenge him. If Ren believed that Aditya would attempt a rescue mission, then there was a possibility that he had already prepared a countermeasure.

However, Boris did not share the same concern. He looked at the situation from a completely different perspective. “No. I feel like you are thinking too much.”

Boris calmly said. “I believe Ren thinks that the Imperial Royal Palace is absolutely impenetrable. In his mind, it is impossible for anyone to enter the palace without his permission.”

Boris pointed at the map. “Because he has such complete confidence in the defenses of the Imperial Royal Palace, I doubt he would take any additional measures. Someone who believes they are completely safe usually does not expect an enemy to reach them.”

Aditya became silent. He had to admit that Boris’s words made sense.

It was entirely possible that Ren’s greatest weakness was his own confidence. The Imperial Royal Palace had been protected for countless years, and even Aditya was struggling to find a method of entering.

Ren might genuinely believe that no one in the world was capable of breaking through those defenses.

“But still, I should make extra preparations.”

Aditya said. Even if Boris was right, Aditya did not want to leave anything to chance. When it came to his parents’ lives, he was not willing to gamble everything on a single possibility.

“In fact, while we are inside the Imperial Royal Palace, if something unexpected happens, then those preparations could become the difference between success and failure. Aditya also nodded his head. He understood what Boris meant.

They were attempting to infiltrate the heart of the Celestial Dragon Empire. The Imperial Royal Palace was the most heavily protected location in the entire empire. One wrong move could expose their presence, and once Ren became aware of their infiltration, their chances of rescuing Alen and Elena would become extremely low.

That was why additional preparation was not a waste of time. Every piece of information they gathered, every possible escape route they considered, and every backup plan they created would increase their chances of survival.

Even if they prepared for a situation that never happened, that preparation would still have value. It would allow them to react faster, avoid unnecessary risks, and prevent panic from taking control during the most critical moments.

Aditya understood that sometimes the difference between victory and defeat was not decided by strength alone. It was decided by how well someone prepared before entering a dangerous situation.

Extra preparations might consume more time, and time was something they currently lacked. However, when the lives of his parents were at stake, and when one mistake could lead to the failure of the entire rescue mission, being overly cautious was far better than moving forward carelessly. In an emergency, the preparations they made beforehand could become the tool that saved their lives.
