Chapter 1216:- Old Bedroom
Chapter 1216: Chapter 1216:- Old Bedroom
“There are fifteen Sixth Order cultivators of different cultivation stages guarding the mansion. But the majority of them are Mid Sixth Order.” This was the conclusion Aditya and Rin finally reached after more than an hour of careful investigation. Previously, there were 36 cultivators, but Ren had taken most with him to the front lines.
Gathering this information had taken much longer than Aditya initially expected. They had to remain patient and slowly send different maids and servants toward the mansion using various believable excuses. They could not simply send everyone there at once. If servants who normally had no reason to approach the restricted residence suddenly began gathering around it, the guards would immediately realise that something was wrong.
So they took their time. Some servants passed through nearby areas while carrying supplies. Others approached from different directions while pretending to perform their normal duties.
Little by little, Aditya and Rin confirmed not only the number of Sixth Order cultivators guarding the mansion but also gained a general understanding of where most of them were stationed.
There were fifteen Sixth Order cultivators. Most were at the Mid Sixth Order, while the remaining guards were spread across other stages of the Sixth Order. More importantly, the good thing was Aditya still could not detect any Seventh Order cultivator among them.
Once Aditya had enough information about their approximate positions, a plan quickly began forming in his mind.
“You will be staying behind.” Aditya suddenly said.
Hearing this, Rin immediately pouted. Although she clearly did not like his decision, she understood why Aditya wanted her to remain somewhere safe.
With his teleportation ability, Aditya could appear beside a guard without warning and kill them before they had the opportunity to react or raise an alarm. Rin could not do the same.
Even though she was a Sixth Order cultivator herself and her abilities were extremely useful, bringing her into a battle where everything depended on eliminating the enemy before they could make a sound would only make Aditya’s movements more complicated.
In this particular situation, the best support Rin could give him was to remain outside his path and stay somewhere safe. “But before I begin, we need to create something big enough to draw everyone’s attention elsewhere,” Aditya said while looking toward the distant mansion.
Rin’s pout slowly disappeared as she understood what he was thinking. “The moment I start killing those fifteen Sixth Order cultivators, there is always a possibility that someone will notice something is wrong. We cannot allow the other guards and soldiers inside the Imperial Royal Palace to surround the mansion while I’m dealing with them.”
His eyes slowly shifted toward the northern side of the Imperial Royal Palace. That was precisely why he had ordered so many of the Exploding Talismans to be concentrated near the northern entrance.
Before Aditya began hunting the fifteen Sixth Order cultivators guarding his parents, he intended to make sure that everyone else inside the Imperial Royal Palace had a much bigger problem demanding their attention.
At first, Aditya intended to use the Exploding Talismans that Rin and the servants had already distributed throughout the Imperial Royal Palace, especially the large number concentrated near the northern entrance. But just as he was about to proceed, Aditya stopped himself. Those five hundred Exploding Talismans were originally meant to be used during their escape.
Once he rescued his parents and the Imperial Royal Palace realised what had happened, those talismans would give him another option. Activating all of them simultaneously would create chaos throughout the palace, divide the attention of the guards, and potentially open an opportunity for them to escape.
If he used them now merely to distract the guards, then one of his most valuable backup plans would disappear before the most dangerous stage of the rescue even began.
‘I’ll need those later.’ Aditya immediately changed his plan.
He asked Rin to have one of the servants temporarily allow them to use her living quarters. The servants working within the Imperial Royal Palace were provided with their own accommodations. Their rooms were small and simple compared to the luxurious residences of the Imperial Family, but they were comfortable enough for the servants to live there without any problems.
Once Aditya and Rin entered one of these rooms and closed the door behind them, Aditya immediately got to work. He began creating an entirely new batch of Exploding Talismans. Unlike the previous five hundred, however, Aditya did not establish a direct mana link between himself and these new talismans. These were designed for one purpose only, so there was no reason for him to maintain control over them afterwards.
Instead, Aditya designed the new batch so that they could trigger one another. If one of the Exploding Talismans was activated, the resulting reaction would immediately trigger the others placed beside it. In other words, only one talisman needed to be activated for the entire batch to explode together.
Working quickly, Aditya completed thirty-five Exploding Talismans in less than fifteen minutes.
“That should be enough.” Aditya muttered while looking at the stack of paper talismans.
Rin then called over another maid who was already under the influence of her charm.
Aditya gave her very specific instructions. The thirty-five talismans were to be placed near an isolated section of the northern entrance, close enough together for the first explosion to trigger the entire batch. Once everything was properly positioned, the maid only needed to ignite the first talisman before immediately leaving the area.
Aditya had designed them with a short delay of roughly ten seconds before the first explosion occurred. That gave the maid enough time to escape.
She was a Second Order cultivator. With her physical abilities and speed, ten seconds was more than enough time for her to put a considerable distance between herself and the talismans before they detonated.
Aditya had no intention of sacrificing an innocent servant merely to create a distraction. Once the maid confirmed that she understood everything, she took the thirty-five Exploding Talismans and left. Now they only had to wait.

Aditya and Rin waited inside one of the servants’ houses located directly opposite the mansion where his parents were currently being held. Neither of them spoke much. Everything was ready. Now they simply needed to wait for the perfect moment.
Standing beside the window, Aditya kept his eyes fixed on a particular balcony on the second floor of the mansion.
He knew that balcony very well. It was directly connected to his old bedroom.
After considering the layout of the mansion and the positions of the guards, Aditya had decided that the balcony would be the best place for him to enter. It would allow him to bypass the main entrances and immediately enter a familiar part of the mansion.
For a moment, however, Aditya almost forgot about the mission. A faint feeling of nostalgia appeared in his heart as he stared at the familiar balcony. When he was younger, Aditya used to step onto that balcony almost every morning after waking up. It was not because he particularly enjoyed watching the sunrise. Most of the time, he barely paid attention to it.
What he loved was the morning air. Something was refreshing about the cool breeze touching his face early in the morning. The air carried that slightly chilly freshness that came with the morning dew, and breathing it in always helped clear his sleepy mind.
It had once been such a simple part of his daily life. Yet nearly five years later, Aditya was staring at the same balcony while preparing to secretly infiltrate the home where he had grown up.
His attention eventually returned to the present. According to the information gathered by the servants, fourteen of the fifteen Sixth Order cultivators were currently somewhere inside the mansion. Only one remained stationed outside.
Aditya’s expression gradually became serious as he mentally reviewed everything one final time.
Rin noticed the change in his expression. She pouted slightly before suddenly stepping closer and wrapping both of her arms around his waist. She pressed herself against his back and buried her face against him.
Feeling her embrace, Aditya froze for a second before slightly turning his head. “Danna-sama, please come back soon.” Rin whispered softly. “Without you, I’ll be really lonely.”
Aditya’s serious expression immediately softened. A fond smile appeared on his face. “Now that you’ve personally told me to return early, how could I possibly refuse?” Aditya replied.
He gently placed his hand over Rin’s arms that were wrapped around his waist. Aditya added with a teasing smile. “I’ll be back with your in-laws. So you better prepare yourself.”
Rin became slightly nervous. She had met her in-laws a few times in the spiritual world. But meeting them in the real world was very different to her. That was the dream world, and this was the real world; both had huge differences.
Aditya looked at the hourglass. Noticing that it was time, he gently removed his hands from Rin’s back. Before Rin could react, she noticed him appearing on his old balcony. Without making any noise, with a little bit of force, he opened the doors and entered his old bedroom.
