Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1219:- Protocol or Blood [I]

Chapter 1219: Chapter 1219:- Protocol or Blood [I]

He saw Aditya’s eyes. Those eyes were completely cold and emotionless.

His crimson irises surrounded narrow vertical-slit pupils, giving his gaze the unmistakable appearance of a Dragon. There was no anger in those eyes, nor excitement from the slaughter that had just taken place. There was only a frightening calmness, as though killing several Sixth Order cultivators had meant absolutely nothing to him.

The cultivator’s entire body began trembling. For a brief moment, he forgot that the person standing before him was Dragon in human form. It felt as though Death itself had taken the form of a Dragon and was staring directly into his soul.

Aditya coldly stared at the trembling cultivator. He had no intention of wasting his time interrogating the man for information that he did not need. There was only one question in his mind, and he wanted a clear answer.

“This mansion has two floors. If my parents aren’t being kept on either floor, then they must be somewhere in the underground dungeon beneath this mansion. Am I right or wrong?” Aditya asked in a bone-chillingly cold tone.

The cultivator immediately nodded his head repeatedly in fear. At this point, he did not dare hide anything from Aditya. His cultivation had already been destroyed, all of his companions had been slaughtered within seconds, and the monster standing before him clearly had no intention of showing mercy.

That single nod was enough. Aditya had gotten the answer he wanted. There was nothing else he needed from this man.

Without saying another word, Aditya swung his sword and cleanly severed the cultivator’s head. He then kicked the headless body with such force that it was sent flying backwards across the living room.

BOOOOM!!!

The corpse violently crashed into the wall. The impact shattered the wall itself, sending broken pieces of stone and wood flying into the neighbouring room as the body broke straight through and disappeared inside.

Aditya did not even bother looking in that direction again. Instead, he turned around and began making his way toward the underground section of the mansion. Although nearly five years had passed since he had last lived here, he still remembered the general layout of his childhood home. Some memories might have faded with time, but he still knew where the staircase leading underground was located.

The mansion’s underground dungeon had originally been constructed for several different purposes. Some sections could be used to temporarily hold prisoners if necessary, while other areas were designed for storing supplies, equipment, and miscellaneous items that the Imperial Family did not need upstairs.

However, as far as Aditya could remember, the dungeon had rarely ever been used to actually imprison anyone. There had simply never been much reason to use it. And it certainly had never been designed as a place where someone was supposed to live for an extended period.

The underground area was cold and uncomfortable. Most of the rooms were little more than hard storage spaces surrounded by thick stone walls. Some sections even carried an unpleasant smell because they were rarely used and hardly ever properly cleaned. There were no comfortable bedrooms, no sunlight, and none of the basic comforts expected from a place where someone would have to spend their days.

The more Aditya thought about it, the colder his expression became. His cousin actually had the audacity to imprison his parents down there.

Alen and Elena had once been the Emperor and Empress of the Celestial Dragon Empire. This mansion was their own residence, yet Ren had confined them beneath their own home like prisoners while placing Sixth Order cultivators above them as guards.

Aditya knew that there was still one cultivator left. This was the cultivator whom the maid had specifically warned him about, the one who always remained outside the room where his parents were being held. So far, Aditya had killed fourteen Sixth Order cultivators. Four had been sleeping upstairs, while the remaining ten had been gathered in the living room.

That left only one.

By now, Aditya was certain that the final cultivator knew something was wrong. Even if she had somehow failed to hear the fighting upstairs, there was absolutely no way she could have missed the massive explosion that had shaken the surroundings earlier. Unlike the others, this final guard would already be expecting an intruder.

Knowing this, Aditya did not rush. He slowly descended the stairs leading into the underground dungeon, his footsteps quietly echoing against the cold stone walls.

The deeper he went, the colder the air became. Aditya kept his sword ready while carefully observing everything around him, knowing that his final opponent could attack at any moment.

The instant Aditya stepped off the final stair and placed his foot on the cold, hard stone floor of the dungeon, he saw her. At the opposite end of the corridor stood a woman dressed in full-body armour. Unlike the cultivators upstairs, she made absolutely no attempt to suppress her cultivation. Her powerful aura openly filled the underground corridor, immediately allowing Aditya to determine her cultivation.

She was a Peak Sixth Order, and she was also completely sober. There were no wine bottles around her, no cards, no signs of carelessness, and certainly no drunkenness slowing her reactions. Her posture was firm, her weapon was ready, and her entire attention was focused solely on Aditya.

There would be no golden opportunity for him to exploit this time. For several seconds, neither of them moved. Aditya silently stared at the woman from one end of the corridor while she carefully observed him from the other. Eventually, it was the woman who broke the silence.

“You have taken a massive risk by coming here. If you are caught inside this mansion, you will either die by my hand or die while attempting to escape from the Imperial Royal Palace with those two. But before we fight, I am curious about one thing. Who are you and why are you taking such a massive risk?” Her voice remained cold as she tightened her grip around her weapon.

Her cold tone and threatening attitude meant absolutely nothing to Aditya. After seeing the condition in which his parents were being kept, his blood was already boiling with immense anger.

Ren had imprisoned the former Emperor and Empress beneath their own mansion, inside a cold dungeon that was never meant to serve as a proper living space. At this moment, Aditya had neither the patience nor the desire to exchange unnecessary words with someone responsible for keeping them imprisoned.

“I am the son of those two. And I am here to take my parents away.”

“And there is nothing you, or anyone else within this Imperial Royal Palace, can do to stop me right now.” The woman’s expression finally changed. Surprise briefly appeared in her eyes as she realized the identity of the man standing before her.

She had certainly heard about Aditya. At this point, practically everyone within the Celestial Dragon Empire knew that the former Crown Prince had returned and had become the leader of the Anti-Emperor Faction. But she had never expected him to personally infiltrate the Imperial Royal Palace, much less enter one of its most heavily guarded residences completely on his own.

More importantly, he had somehow made it this far. Fourteen Sixth Order cultivators had been stationed throughout this mansion alongside her. Yet Aditya was now standing in the underground dungeon without any of them following behind him. She did not need anyone to explain what that meant.

He had dealt with them himself. For a brief moment, she wondered just how much stronger the once-exiled Crown Prince had become. But now was not the time to be surprised.

The woman quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused entirely on the opponent standing before her. Regardless of who Aditya was or how powerful he had become, she had received strict orders from her lord.

And she intended to follow those orders. Even if following them led directly to her death.

Without the slightest hesitation, the woman charged straight at Aditya at full speed. Aditya’s eyes widened slightly, seeing how fast she was.

She was far faster than he had expected from a Peak Sixth Order cultivator. The instant she moved, her figure nearly disappeared from his vision, and even with his recently improved senses after reaching Beginner Sixth Order, Aditya found himself unable to properly follow her movements.

What Aditya did not know was that the woman standing before him was an extremely specialised cultivator. Ever since reaching First Order, she had focused almost entirely on increasing her agility.

Her strength was considerably lower compared to cultivators at the same cultivation level, but in exchange, her speed had reached an extraordinary level. Now that she was at Peak Sixth Order, there were very few cultivators within the Sixth Order who could compete with her in pure speed.

Realising that attempting to follow her movements normally would put him at a disadvantage, Aditya did not hesitate. The space around his body distorted slightly before he instantly disappeared. The woman’s attack struck nothing but empty air.

At almost the same moment, Aditya appeared at the opposite end of the corridor, precisely where the woman had been standing only a moment earlier.

She immediately turned around, surprise and confusion flashing across her face. However, it did not take her long to understand what had happened. She had already heard that the former exiled Crown Prince possessed some form of teleportation ability. What she had not expected was for that ability to be this smooth.

There was almost no delay or obvious activation process in his teleportation. One moment, Aditya was standing in front of her. The next, he was already on the opposite side of the corridor.

“You have an impressive teleportation ability.” Aditya showed absolutely no reaction to her praise. He was not here to impress her, nor was he interested in having a conversation about his abilities. Instead, his attention shifted toward the door immediately to his left.

Without wasting another second, Aditya raised his leg and kicked the door.

BANG!!!

The door violently flew open. The moment Aditya’s gaze entered the room, his entire body froze. There was almost nothing inside. There was no bed, no proper furniture, and no windows. Nothing that could make this cold underground room even remotely suitable for someone to live in.

There were only two wooden chairs. And sitting on those chairs were his parents.

Alen and Elena.
