Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 931:- First Stage, Crimson Dragon Eruption [II]

Chapter 931:- First Stage, Crimson Dragon Eruption [II]

Crack...!!!

The Stone wall cracked from the impact. But the cracks and any damage the wall took instantly heal. Within seconds, everything returned to normal.

Aditya, aware that he couldn't afford to wait in one spot for over fifty thousand Undead Mages to cast their spells at him, teleported to the ground.

The moment he landed, a huge, terrifying wave of Crimson Flame came out of his body and spread everywhere. At the same time, the battleground near him began to crack, and magma started violently gushing out of the cracks.

Within seconds, everything was covered in Crimson Flames.

For a moment, everything became silent. Other than Aditya, everything else on the battlefield was burning.

"Burn to ashes!"

His face was slightly pale. Using Crimson Flame and bringing out Magma that covered that entire battlefield, which was 10,000 meters in size, consumed way more Mana than he realised.

When the Flames dissipated, there wasn't any Undead left.

The whole battlefield was covered in Magma.

'This should be the end.' Aditya felt that this stage was too easy. Honestly, Aditya would be kind of disappointed if this stage gave him no difficulty.

One of the reasons that he was so eager to join this trial was that he wanted to challenge himself. He wanted to face difficult opponents who could force him into tight situations.

The thought of fighting in such an environment strangely made his heart beat in excitement.

But this wasn't the end. This was just the beginning.

Just a few seconds later, the same red magic circle appeared. But this time, the magic circle wasn't on the ground; rather, the magic circle was suspended in the air, covering the entire battlefield.

'Of course! If each stage was this easy beat, then most wouldn't have failed here.' He wasn't disappointed. Rather, he was thrilled.

This time, the summons was different. It wasn't just undead knights or mages summoned. It was a different kind of undead.

"So this time it's a mix of many different races and species." All the undead beings were floating.

There were undead Knights belonging to many races, such as humans, beast-men, goblins, half-dragons, orcs, trolls, and dark elves. The Mages also had beings from almost all races. There were mages from Elves, Dragons, Mermaids, dwarves, fairies, and Lamias.

There were even undead Komodo Crawlers.

As the Dragon Monarch, he could sense the Half-Dragons and the Dragons. The Half Dragons and the Dragons had this Aura that other undead from other races lacked.

'But I can't seem to control them.' It made sense. All the undead did not have a mind or soul. They were puppets following the command of their master.

Seeing the undead of all races, Aditya had a feeling that those who perish while crossing the Sand Mirage desert get turned into undead and are used in the Trial.

'The more that I think about this possibility, the more I feel that this might be the case.' Otherwise, how was it possible for there to be so many undead creatures?

'Even with the maps of the Scattered Zone, the Sand Mirage Desert is extremely dangerous.'

'Even we had a really tough time crossing the desert with the Map of the Scattered Zones.' Aditya felt that the real number of cultivators and travellers who die while trying to cross this desert is way higher than the locals believe.

'And it's not like some faction is actively keeping a track of how many travellers are entering and exiting the Desert every single day.'

All the knights rushed at him with half of the Mages getting their spells ready to be fired at any moment.

While the other Half Mages raised their staff and chanted various spells.

They cast different kinds of spells. But in short, it was an effort to get rid of the Magma covering the entire ground.

'Smart move!' Aditya thought while dodging the barrage of attacks using constant short teleportations.

As he kept dodging, he did not forget to use Magma beneath him to take out as many knights as possible.

A huge wave of Magma rose behind Aditya. The wave was big enough almost to reach the ceiling. As the wave came crashing down, he did not try to dodge. He stood in his initial position, holding the Eclipse Blade of Shadows. Just as the wave was about to crash, thousands of Knights got close to him and tried to attack him while they had the chance, while the mages were split in two.

Some tried to stop the wave, while some tried to attack the enemy.

BLUUUUUURRGHHHH!

The battlefield was huge. But the whole space was sealed from all sides. There was no room for even an air molecule to escape. When the Magma Wave crashed, the impact was felt in all corners and sides of the battlefield.

The wave easily wiped out 1/4th of the one hundred thousand undead that were summoned for the second time.

The ones that did survive were still floating at the centre and very close to the ceiling. At the last second, these mages and knights used their powers to block the attack.

Aditya was unharmed. Even when the wave of Magma engulfed him entirely, nothing happened to him. His clothes were completely fine as well. The trick was to cover his whole body, including his clothes, with his own Mana. And since his Mana was a part of himself, nothing happened to his outfit.

"Alright! How about this?" He asked with a grin.

Acid Rain!!!

Dark clouds began forming just below the ceiling.

Within seconds, the dark clouds were looming over the entire battlefield.

Pit-pit-pit! Pit-pit-pit! Pit-pit-pit!

It began to rain. It wasn't the normal rain. Each raindrop had the power to corrode whatever it fell on. And not a single inch of the battlefield was safe from the rain.

Since the power of the undead matched his, this meant that none of the undead were able to withstand the power of the Acid Rain. And soon, without needing to do anything else, the remaining undead also perished.

Despite how simple it appears, all of this is draining a huge amount of my Mana.' The battlefield was huge in size and covered the entire battlefield in Acid Rain, then Magma, and Crimson Flame consumed too much Mana.

'If it were someone else, then by now, this would have been the end. I only managed to get through this because I have an absurd amount of Mana. Not to mention, teleportation played a huge role.' 99.9% cultivators don't have Aditya's level of Mana. And teleportation was such a rare skill that so far, he had only met a handful of beings with teleportation skills, but that, too, came with some kind of limitation or shortage. It wasn't his skill that allowed him to teleport anywhere that his eyes can see.

Before the 3rd wave came, Aditya consumed one 5-star Mana recovery pill and drank a stamina recovery potion.

Aditya felt this stage was giving him no challenge other than consuming a huge chunk of his Mana.

A few seconds later, the 3rd wave of undead came. Once again, one hundred thousand undead beings came from all directions. But soon they were defeated by the combined power of Magma Manipulation and the Acid Rain.

Just like before this also the undead mages tried to deal with the Magma through various spells. Some even tried to stop the Acid Rain. But Aditya kept investing Mana to keep the Acid rain going and used Magma manipulation in a way that the mages were taken out before they could do anything.

Before he could he could take out the last few undead, once again the large red summoning circle hovered above the battlefield.

Once again, another batch of undead warriors appeared. It was the 4th wave.

'I have to find a way to end this.' After the 3rd wave, Aditya understood that someone was controlling the undead and the summoning circle.

'If I don't take out the Master, then the undead will continue to come.' But the problem was, the first two times, he had clearly wiped out every last undead. This meant that the Summoner wasn't mixed with the undead.

'If the summoner isn't here, then where is he?' For a second, he wondered if the summoner was outside the battlefield. But then he shook his head. Aside from the battlefield, there was nothing else; otherwise, the relentless attacks would likely have shattered a wall. However, the walls immediately repaired themselves as soon as they took any damage.

Aditya tried his best to find the Summoner, but he failed, and he kept facing one wave after another.

Soon, the 5th wave arrived, and before he was done dealing with all the undead from the 5th wave, the undead from the 6th wave arrived.

The same thing happened again, and the undead from the 7th wave arrived.

8th Wave!

9th Wave!

10th Wave!

11th Wave!!!

By the 12th wave, Aditya was very exhausted. Even with a Mana recovery potion, he barely had enough Mana to continue. Each Wave was coming within 10 to 15 seconds, leaving him with very little time.

There wasn't enough time for the pill to break down and take effect.

The mana recovery speed couldn't keep up with the Mana Spending or expenditure speed.

By now, his whole body was soaked in his sweat. He was heavily panting. He needed a moment to catch his breath, but the waves were getting quicker.

He didn't even get a few seconds of a break because of the high intensity.

Yes, the combined power of Acid Rain and the magma Manipulation worked, but this was a number of one hundred thousand. Even if close to ten thousand managed to get past the Acid Rain under the shelter of other undead or endure the rain long enough to get past the Magma Manipulation and get to him, it still gave him a massive headache.

A huge palm of Magma rose from the ground and grabbed the Undeads that tried to attack him from behind.

By now, he was on his one knee. His Mana was almost depleted. At most, he would be able to keep the Magma Manipulation and Acid Rain going for another wave, and then that would be it.

The reason he needed to supply Mana to Magma Manipulation constantly is that the undead mages have been using all sorts of attacks to reduce the power of the Magma. The undead mages unleashed a barrage of earth-based spells, while icy blasts and surging waves of water magic were summoned to counter and suppress the advancing magma.

And so, facing all these attacks, he needed to supply his Mana to create and bring more Magma constantly.

'He has to be somewhere.' Aditya was observing. He tried to observe his surroundings from the 8th wave. But it was difficult with all the attacks and the undead.

And soon the 12th wave came.

But there was a smirk on his exhausted face.

"Found you!!" His eyes dangerously glowed red as he looked at the summoner.
