Chapter 1122: Mystic Delight Pavilion’s Arrival

"Using the wish to expel someone, huh? That’s a great idea. Thanks." Su Yang responded a moment later, his expression as calm as it could be.

"Do you seriously think you will be the one to win this exchange? Talk about being delusional!"

"If you somehow win this exchange, I’ll eat my fucking uniform and call you father!"

"Hahah! Get a load of this guy! He’ll not only be the first to lose but probably even get knocked out by his opponent!"

Su Yang didn’t say another word and calmly sat there in silence as the small group of Core Disciples continued to mock him to pass the time.

Sometime later, the Mystic Delight Pavilion arrived at the Boundless Yin Yang Sect.

The Mystic Delight Pavilion showed up with a decently sized group of a little under a thousand disciples and sect elders. However, not everyone from their group belonged to the Mystic Delight Pavilion.

"I didn’t notify you beforehand since we were in a rush to get here, but I invited some of my friends to witness the Dual Cultivation Exchange between our sect. I hope you won’t mind, Sect Leader Qing," said the beautiful woman leading the group.

Sect Leader Qing shook her head and responded, "I do not mind at all, Sect Leader Shuang. The more, the merrier. As a matter of fact, I also invited a few friends to watch since this is our first Dual Cultivation Exchange in a long time."

Sect Leader Qing was not only unsurprised by the extra company; she had actually anticipated it.

"Please, follow me. I’ll bring you to the venue."

Sect Leader Qing proceeded to guide the Mystic Delight Pavilion to a specific peak in the Boundless Yin Yang Sect.

"I apologize if this place feels a bit dusty. Although we cleaned it, it was done hastily, and this place hasn’t been used in hundreds of years since it’s reserved specifically for Dual Cultivation Exchanges," said Sect Leader Qing.

At the peak was a large platform surrounded by rows of seats, with ten perfectly shaped black boxes arranged neatly on the platform. These black boxes were, in fact, concealment formations that could turn transparent. Inside each formation was a single bed prepared for the participants’ use during their session.

It was a simple but standard setup for Dual Cultivation Exchanges.

Once the Mystic Delight Pavilion’s group was seated on one side, Sect Leader Qing allowed the Boundless Yin Yang Sect disciples to take their seats on the opposite side.

However, not every individual from the Mystic Delight Pavilion took a seat. Several of them went onto the platform instead. Ten of them, to be exact. Naturally, they were the participants.

"Heavens! I recognize all ten of them! The Mystic Delight Pavilion actually brought out their top ten female disciples for this exchange!" someone from the Boundless Yin Yang Sect recognized the participants and remarked.

"It’s over. There’s no way we’re winning this…"

"I was expecting a handicap from them, too…"

"Where are your participants?" Sect Leader Shuang asked a moment after sitting down.

"They’ll be here soon,’ said Sect Leader Qing.

"Is that so?" Sect Leader Shuang no longer paid attention to her and began chatting with the friends she had brought.

Meanwhile, Elder Chu notified Su Yang and the others of the Mystic Delight Pavilion’s arrival before guiding them to the location of the exchange.

Sometime later, Su Yang and his group stepped onto the platform.

When the disciples of the Boundless Yin Yang Sect saw their own participants for the first time, they were all bewildered to see an Inner Court disciple amongst the group of Core Disciples.

"What the fuck?! Isn’t that Disciple Xiao?! What the hell is he doing on the stage with the other Core Disciples?!"

"Don’t tell me he’s participating in the exchange?! He just got promoted to the Inner Court!"

"How did he even get accepted?"

"There was probably a lack of participants, so the sect was forced to accept him…"

"Unbelievable! We’re already fighting a losing battle, and now we have to deal with this nonsense, too?! We’re definitely going to end up as laughingstocks after this!"

Meanwhile, the Mystic Delight Pavilion was just as surprised as the Boundless Yin Yang Sect spectators.

"That lineup… Their number one disciple isn’t participating, and they even got an Inner Court disciple in the mix? What is going on with the Boundless Yin Yang Sect?"

"Are they mocking us or something?"

After snapping out of her daze, Sect Leader Shuang turned to look at Sect Leader Qing with a frown and asked, "What is the meaning of this?"

"What do you mean?" Sect Leader Qing acted like she didn’t know what Sect Leader Shuang was talking about.

"We brought our best disciples for this exchange to show our respect, and this is how you repay us?"

Given the Boundless Yin Yang Sect’s current state, the Mystic Delight Pavilion could have chosen any random Core Disciple from their sect for the exchange and would still likely win against the Boundless Yin Yang Sect’s top ten disciples. Yet, the Mystic Delight Pavilion chose to bring its top ten disciples.

Although Sect Leader Shuang claimed it was out of respect for the Boundless Yin Yang Sect, the truth was she wanted to utterly crush them. However, she could’ve never expected the Boundless Yin Yang Sect to bring an Inner Court disciple for the exchange.

"I apologize if this doesn’t meet your expectations, but I assure you, they are the best we have at the moment," replied Sect Leader Qing.

"An Inner Court disciple is the best you have? If that’s not a joke, I truly feel sorry for your sect," one of Sect Leader Shuang’s friends remarked, a look of disdain and mockery on his face.

"He’s only an Inner Court disciple because he recently joined the sect. In reality, his skills are on par with the Core Disciples around him. You’ll regret it if you underestimate him," Sect Leader Qing replied, unfazed by the rude remark.
