Chapter 1124: Start of the Exchange

While the disciples of Mystic Delight Pavilion cursed at Su Yang out loud, their sect elders and even Sect Leader Shuang remained awfully quiet, almost as if they didn’t want to bring more attention to this subject.

Sect Leader Shuang turned to look at Sect Leader Qing to see how she’d respond.

When Sect Leader Qing first found out about the Mystic Delight Pavilion’s betrayal, she wanted to start a war despite the obvious disparity between their sect’s overall prowess. Naturally, Chen Yi and many of the sect elders at that time were against going to war with the Mystic Delight Pavilion.

In the end, the war never happened, and Sect Leader Qing stopped caring for the Boundless Yin Yang Sect as much, allowing it to decline, as she didn’t see any worth in it after what happened.

Seeing how Sect Leader Qing decided to remain quiet on the subject, Sect Leader Shuang smiled inwardly, ’At least you know your place.’

"Enough of this farce!" Chen Yi suddenly stood up and shouted. "Why do you think we’re here? To talk about baseless rumors or for the Dual Cultivation Exchange?!"

The disciples immediately stopped talking upon hearing Chen Yi’s voice. Su Yang also fell silent, but his face became solemn as he fixed a sharp glare on Chen Yi.

Chen Yi noticed Su Yang’s gaze and stared back, almost as if daring Su Yang to speak.

However, Su Yang didn’t say another word after that.

"That’s what I thought. Know your place," Chen Yi muttered, a hint of satisfaction in his tone as he sat down, clearly pleased with the outcome.

Unbeknownst to Chen Yi, he’d just sentenced himself to death.

’A baseless rumor, huh? As I thought, you are in cahoots with the Mystic Delight Pavilion.’ Su Yang clenched his fists, and his blood boiled in anger.

While it was possible that Chen Yi had spoken those words merely to quell the commotion or to prevent the relationship between the Boundless Yin Yang Sect and the Mystic Delight Pavilion from worsening, Su Yang knew Chen Yi well enough to be certain that wasn’t the case.

’This sect has truly gone to shit. However, now that I am back, I will make sure to cleanse it of its filth!’ Su Yang swore inwardly as he waited for the Dual Cultivation Exchange to begin.

After a moment of silence, Chen Yi looked at Sect Leader Shuang and asked, "Shall we start the Dual Cultivation Exchange?"

As if giving permission to an underling, Sect Leader Shuang nodded.

"Then we will begin the Dual Cultivation Exchange now! The rules are as follows—"

After announcing the rules that were already explained to Su Yang and the others not long ago, Chen Yi continued, "The participants from each side will pick a number from one to ten. Those with the same number will be partners for the exchange."

A few moments later, two sect elders from the Boundless Yin Yang Sect entered the platform and placed ten pieces of rock on each side.

These rocks had a special property that blocked spiritual sense, so the participants wouldn’t be able to cheat.

"Pick your number."

The participants on each side picked their rock and crushed it, revealing a piece of paper inside.

"Number four." Su Yang read the number on his paper.

"Once you have your number, proceed to your station, but do not go inside," Chen Yi continued.

"The Dual Cultivation Exchange for each match will last for… four hours."

Su Yang approached the formation with the number ’four’ on it. Since the formation was closer to the Mystic Delight Pavilion’s side, his opponent arrived there first.

She was an exceedingly beautiful woman with a tall and slender frame, skin as white as snow, and fierce facial features as if she were a natural-born fighter.

The female disciple frowned when she realized her opponent was Su Yang.

She sucked her teeth with annoyance and sighed out loud, "Damn it, I really don’t want to cultivate with this ugly bastard."

Su Yang looked at her and smiled, "Don’t worry, it’ll only be for a few minutes since you’ll be sleeping for the rest of that time."

The female disciple looked at him with wide eyes filled with disbelief. Once she realized what he was implying, she burst out laughing, "You think you have what it takes to overwhelm me? Hahaha! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard all year long!"

"Then would you be willing to show the others our session?" Su Yang asked.

The female disciple frowned and said, "Hell no. I don’t want the others to see me cultivating with such a toad, even if I am going to humiliate you in bed!"

Su Yang shrugged, "If you say so."

Once both sides were standing in front of their station, Chen Yi asked each team whether they wanted to showcase their session. Out of the ten pairs, only three of them agreed to showcase their session.

"Look at Disciple Xiao’s opponent! Feng Ling, also known as the Mystic Delight Pavilion’s Phoenix! She’s actually in the top three within the entire sect!" The Boundless Yin Yang Sect disciples recognized Su Yang’s opponent.

"Even if his opponent were their weakest disciple, he’d still be no match for her."

Disciples on both sides mocked Su Yang, and almost nobody there believed in him.

’Xiao Yang…’ Lin Xinyin wore a somewhat worried expression on her face. Although she’d cultivated plenty with him and was confident in his abilities, she knew nothing about the Mystic Delight Pavilion.

"You may enter your stations. The timer will start now," Chen Yi announced a moment later.

Su Yang entered the formation with Feng Ling the next moment.

Upon stepping into the formation, the scenery around them shifted, and as if teleported to a different world, they found themselves standing inside a pavilion surrounded by tranquil water and vibrant, blooming flowers.

The scene felt so real that they could feel the gentle breeze brushing against their skin and smell the fragrant aroma of the flowers surrounding them.

"Let’s get this over with," said Feng Ling as she removed her clothes and walked to the bed at the center of the pavilion.
