Dungeon of Lust: Managing Otherworldly Beauties

Chapter 201: Breadcrumbs

Chapter 201: Breadcrumbs

Vale whistled as he exited from the Dungeon Core and tucked his glasses away, making his way to the lounge.

He got to the entrance and looked at the ragtag quartet’s creation and thought to himself:

’What an amazing job they’ve done!’

Greed’s voice flowed from behind him.

"How unsightly."

’When did she get here?!’

She’d probably seen him walk by and wanted to see what was up.

Greed. Not adorned in her typical dress. Shoeless. White socks. She wore simple black sweatpants and a short-sleeved crop top with glittery sparkles.

The top was thin, and her nipples were outlined quite clearly.

Greed seemed to pay it no mind.

Vale did, however...

Already abstaining from his desire was hard. It only became more so when an ultimate beauty crafted by the gods themselves descended into his home and decided to scantily dress.

"There’s no cohesion between colors. Everything clashes."

Her flowing Golden hair was a little unkempt and frazzled. Her nails now glowed a soft purple, with black swirls on both index fingers.

Greed walked past Vale and sat on one of the three cushioned seats the Dungeon of Lust had commandeered from Liora.

It was a velvet red couch, three cushions wide; the room’s centerpiece.

Vale’s eyebrows knitted as he watched Greed. Then he walked over, sat in the green Wingback Chair, and rested his feet on a tattered blue ottoman.

Vale looked around the room, at the other couch and chair, the lacquered accent table in the middle. The ornate rugs covering nearly the entire floor.

’If she saw the overall look of this place before, she’d say they did a fantastic job!’

With a sigh, Vale lost any semblance of glee and lust, even at Greed’s alluring sight.

That was due to his current annoyance with the audacious woman.

"Greed, I don’t particularly like that prank you pulled. I thought we agreed to ’non-subversion.’"

Greed laughed as she summoned a pillow, placed it behind her head, and lay down.

"Oh, please, you know that wasn’t undermining your authority at all. I simply wanted to sunbathe, and a man was drawn to my radiant presence."

Vale rolled his eyes and not so sneakily took a peek at the bottom of Greed’s assets, which were barely visible.

"He was indeed drawn by your presence — more specifically, by you unleashing your power."

Greed laughed and crossed her legs.

"Would you rather have me unleash my authority in here?"

Vale rubbed his temples and cast his head back.

"I guess not... and why do you keep calling your power ’authority’? That’s a little pretentious, wouldn’t you say?"

"Oh. It’s because of a show I liked back in my home world. It possessed quite a similar concept to our current situation, and each of the seven sins’ powers was called an ’authority.’"

Vale closed his eyes and then spread his arms wide on either arm of the chair.

"You had some weird plays in your world if it relates to this place."

Greed chuckled as she wiggled her head, trying to dig into the comfortable pillow.

"Ah, I forgot. Terra didn’t have TV or the internet. You all were 100 years off or so, from what I know. Pretty close, but still quite far."

’Huh?’

"Don’t try to make sense of it. Explaining it would be a drag, and it’s really not important."

Vale smiled and opened his eyes.

Greed looked over with a muddled expression and asked.

"How was that funny?"

Vale began slightly chuckling, then said.

"I have a certain stalker, you see. One who really likes to learn all sorts of useless knowledge. He’s especially interested in knowledge from other worlds. He most definitely heard you, and soon, he’ll be your stalker as well. Get ready to talk a bit more than you wish."

Greed looked slightly frazzled and confused until all of a sudden, Mias was sitting on the chair behind her head.

"It’s true."

That’s all the spectre said before his body disappeared into smoke, then altogether.

Greed grew a calm look, then sighed and said:

"Ah, I see."

Holding out her hand, a little box appeared in it. Greed sat up, reached in, and pulled out a tiny cracker.

"Back on topic... It seems you’ve already learned the man who spotted us was someone from Akkuron. What you haven’t seemed to figure out yet is that Akkuron is quite a weird place."

’What the fuck do you mean by "us"?’

Vale pinched the bridge of his nose and slightly shook his head.

In an exasperated tone, he asked:

"What do you mean?"

"Akkuron, the entire nation, excluding Hearth, is the only one in the world that sees the dungeons not as invaders, but as a useful resource. A place they’d rather keep around so they can farm it and draw power from. They’ve even been known to enlist beasts’ help."

Greed smirked and then ate another cracker. She waved the broken half of the snack around, sending crumbs all over the place as she added:

"So, like, even as a Vice, they don’t see you as the worst threat. If you play your cards right, they might even treat you as an ally. If you play them wrong, though, they will toats come and kill your forces every now and then to replenish their Aether cannons."

Greed began humming and waggling her toes.

’Oh, no...’

Vale’s face paled as he came to understand the true gravity of his situation.

’Akkuron... is another Greed!’

If they approached him as Greed surmised, then they’d employ a similar tactic to force something out of him!

That something most likely being Aether shards or maybe even his servitude.

"Are you that mad Mias outsmarted you?"

Greed began laughing.

"Give yourself a little more credit. You did quite well given the situation. Plus, your eyes and expression convinced me that everything Mias said had to be true. You have quite the trust in his abilities."

Greed ate another cracker and spoke with her mouthful.

"Too bad half of him is mine now!"

A few crumbs spilled from the regal woman’s mouth.

’How uncouth.’
