Chapter 235: Rampage
Chapter 235: Rampage
Toy pressed her dagger down into the shaft of a bone spear. Moments later, an arrow sailed over her shoulder and pierced through the Piscari Ap’s brain.
Toy looked back with shock on her face.
"Diana! A warning would be nice!"
The Archer, all business, looked away from Toy and notched another arrow on [Draw Back] and began charging the shot again.
But as much as Toy wanted to complain, she didn’t have the liberty to. Actually, she should be thankful because she was freed from the stalemate just in time to jump over the spear of another attacker.
’Damn! That was close.’
Toy, as she seemingly floated to the ceiling, lightened by [Featherweight], scanned the situation.
With Diana’s shot, they’d finally managed to take down one of the three Piscari Aps. And, of the nine normal Piscari, they’d taken out four.
Of course, it wasn’t entirely without cost. But it was only a single Archer that had fallen.
The death count was low due to the fact that Diana’s squad was full of the most dexterous and lithe warriors Lust had to offer.
Yet, stamina wasn’t infinite.
The warriors were growing more and more exhausted by the second, as evident by the mounting injuries piling on their bodies.
Even Diana was starting to receive quite the drawback from [Draw Back], having used it twice.
As Toy’s feet hit the ceiling, she called out.
"Twelve, Fourteen, Sixteen. Help Seventeen with that Piscari Ap."
Toy looked to her side as she started to kick off the ceiling.
"Thirteen, keep Diana guarded, make sure she can charge fully."
Toy’s gaze settled on the unchecked Piscari Ap.
’As for me...’
Toy kicked and regained some of her weight. Instead of coming crashing down atop the Mutant, she landed nearby so as not to make herself vulnerable in the air.
’It’s time I take out some frustrations.’
Toy had a mental crisis on her hands for the last few days.
One that made her question if she was her own person.
Sure, she was charmed, but she felt in control of herself. She felt aware.
Toy dodged to the side before it even thrust its spear, then she jumped in the air, doing a backflip over the thrust from a normal Piscari.
Toy landed on the Piscari’s shoulders, then calmly slit its throat with her dagger and jumped back down to face the Piscari Ap.
After her spat with Awilix...
’I learned to desire things for myself.’
Toy desired her own victory. Her own autonomy. Her own life. But, she desired all those things while still following her master.
To truly achieve her goal, she’d have to break out of charm — which she didn’t want to do.
Toy tried to close in on the fish man, but was forced back as it swung its spear down in a devastating smash.
’Learning what I hate...’
Such a thing...
Such a thing was far beyond her grasp at the moment.
She could identify her dislike for the invaders and wish to kill them, but her master disliked the invaders as well.
Toy wanted to know...
’What is something I hate which master doesn’t?’
As the Mutant’s spear hit the ground, Toy placed her foot on the flat edge and kicked down.
The Piscari Ap grumbled and tried to free its weapon. In that moment, Toy stuck, slicing open its neck.
Toy watched the light fade from its bulging eyes as it fell into the stone floor.
She didn’t bother moving. With [Sixth Sense], she sensed the flow of battle.
She sensed its end the moment Diana’s fingers twitched and her arrow was released.

"Dumbasses!"
Awilix laughed.
"I’m over here!"
She jumped in the air, casting a glance over at Vale, watching him use their own knockback ability against them. The opponents which seemed bothersome, so she’d let them pass for Vale to handle.
’Ooh! That looked fun!’
Awilix landed without making a sound. Then, she shouted, drawing the nearest Piscari’s attention.
"Hey, hey! Hit me!"
Awilix stood still while preparing to block with her claws.
The blind fish man swiped toward Awilix, but missed pitifully.
"Dumbass! I’m not even moving!"
The fish swung again.
’Seriously, you’re gonna miss?!’
This time, Awilix predicted its ineptitude and hopped in the strike’s path. The moment the bone struck her claws, she was sent sliding.
"Hahaha!"
She laughed maniacally as the one Piscari Ap who’d gotten detached from its quad squad, lost in [Eclipse], looked back just in time for Awilix’s claws to spear its guts.
"Eh. Yuck."
Awilix shook her hands, trying to free them of the blood, then turned around and looked at the mass of Piscari who all looked incredibly confused.
’They might be dumber than Smokeshit.’
It seemed they hadn’t figured out the glowing ball of light was Awilix’s eyes.
’Or maybe even Raggety Rose Bitch.’
A few had begun sauntering toward her hoping the light signaled the exit. But the only exit she provided was their souls from their bodies.
The [Eclipse] seemed to be a perfect counter to the Piscari, who just couldn’t seem to figure out what was going on.
’What did they expect when they ran into the big black wall of shadow?!’
Awilix laughed as she goaded another into hitting her, letting her slide into a decapitation.
"This is fun!"
Awilix flashed her teeth as splatters of blood flew through the air.
’Can we keep one?!’
As much as it was fun, such an ability had some insane utilizations.
Awilix took it slow, as even if dumb and impaired, they were individually stronger than her.
After about six or eight minutes passed, the last Piscari fell and she undid the [Eclipse], and the aura shell formed around her.
Consumed by the transient power, Awilix used it to make quick work of the remaining fish people Sivian had been fighting.
When all was said and done, Awilix noticed something odd in the corner of her eye.
’Smokeshit?’
Awilix sauntered over and stood over Mias’ unconscious body — inspecting the gaping hole in his chest.
"Uh, hey. Smokey dumbass. Get up."
Awilix cautiously kicked the man in his side, only to find her kick actually landed. It hadn’t phased through him.
A ravenous glare shone in Awilix’s golden irises.
