Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2773: Intruder

Chapter 2773: Intruder

The white golem’s emergence sent a jolt of alarm through every soul inside the crypt. As the metallic coffin finished unfolding, the construct stepped onto its lid with mechanical precision. Golden circuit-lines pulsed across its alabaster frame like veins of living light. Its faceless helm rotated toward Dravic—who stood dangerously close to the hovering tier-7 hammer.

A cold, mechanical voice reverberated through the hall.

[Intruder detected]

Dravic jerked backward with an instinctive panic born from memory—the earlier battle with the colossal guardian. But this new golem did not lumber. It blurred.

In a flash of white and gold, the construct launched forward.

"WHAT—!!" Dravic barely crossed his arms before—

BAAAMMM!!!

The impact shook the entire hall. The two-cosmos expert was driven to his knees, boots carving trenches against the ancient floor. Blood sprayed from his lips as he screamed through gritted teeth.

"B-Bastard!"

Rage and fear twisted his expression. His domain erupted outward—a battlefield of crushing gravity and roaring steel—as he forced himself upright. With a roar, he swung his hammer in a brutal arc, striking again and again. Explosions rippled across the room.

But the white golem was unlike the colossal guardian.

It moved like a martial master—precise, fluid, reactive. Every time Dravic struck, the golem flowed aside, its joints pivoting with unnatural grace. Its bare arms—beautifully forged yet monstrous in strength—blocked blows that should have shattered mountains.

All eyes widened as the golem extended its arms, and with a magnetic pull, the hovering tier-7 hammer, Randhall’s treasure, flew straight into its grasp. The golem lifted the massive weapon overhead, and a suffocating pressure rippled across the hall—an invisible weight that made the very air vibrate.

Then it struck.

BOOOOM!!!

The hammer descended like a falling meteor. Dravic barely had time to yank an artifact from his spatial ring—a metal anvil. It expanded in his hands and met the blow with a deafening clang. The impact shook the chamber, but even this formidable shield could not save him for long. The anvil was blasted away like scrap, and Dravic’s body was hurled back several meters. Blood burst from his mouth on impact.

The golem was merciless. It lunged forward again, hammer raised for a killing blow.

Cornered, Dravic activated another artifact. His gauntlets flared with light, runes igniting along their surface. With a desperate roar, he caught the descending hammer with his bare hands—arms trembling under the enormous force. The stone beneath his feet cracked while he screamed, panic overtaking his face.

"Help! HELP ME!!"

One more second and he would have been crushed.

But the formation master intervened. His artifact—a silver chain etched with thousands of microscopic runes—lashed forward, wrapping around the golem’s limbs. The master chanted rapidly, runes lighting one by one around the chain as he forced the construct back.

His two remaining assistants rushed in. Each drew a formation pen and began sketching mid-air. Runes ignited one after another, flying toward the chain and layering themselves into a glowing web—formation seals reinforcing the restraint.

It suddenly became a battle of strength; both sides were locked in a deadly contest. The golem pushed its massive hammer downward with relentless force, while the formation master strained to keep his silver chains tight, runes glowing frantically as he fought to restrain the construct.

Julian and his group observed the struggle from a distance. Poseidon tightened his grip on his trident and muttered, "We should take this chance to attack."

"Not just yet..." Julian replied, eyes sharp, calculating every factor on the battlefield.

Across the hall, the Volkov leader’s face contorted in panic. Dravic spat toward Julian, "This golem is too strong! You need my help to subdue it!!"

Julian smiled coldly. "And risk being backstabbed by you? No... I’d rather take my chances when you are out of the picture."

"Julius!!" Dravic turned furious, bloodshot eyes darting toward his last hope. "Guskov! Are you just going to stand there and watch your own family die?! HELP ME!!"

The grand magus cannoner hesitated—only for a moment.

Then, with a grim sigh, he lifted his massive cannon artifact onto his shoulder. Cosmic energy built up in the barrel, glowing brighter and brighter.

Julian stepped forward. "Guskov—STOP!"

But the energy was already released.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three enormous shots hammered into the golem, engulfing it in smoke and explosions. Each shot was capable of killing squads of magus or severely injuring a grand magus.

Yet when the light faded, the golem hadn’t budged.

It stood firm—gold-lined armor unmarred, eyes burning with mechanical wrath.

However... Dravic used that brief moment of chaos to save himself. He released the hammer, rolling away with desperate agility, leaving the full weight of the construct’s might to fall upon the formation master’s chains.

That split second spelled doom.

"Master, WATCH OUT!!" one of his assistants shouted.

But the elderly man was already being yanked forward by the recoil of his own artifact—his feet dragged across the ground as the golem pulled on the chain. His face drained of all color as the force overwhelmed him.

With a desperate roar, he planted his feet and summoned every last reserve of spirit energy. More chains manifested behind him—spectral, flickering, unstable—wrapping around the golem’s legs, arms, and chest. Runes burst around him like stars bursting in reverse. Sweat poured down his face; his bones audibly cracked from the strain.

For a moment, the golem slowed; it looked as if the elderly master might actually regain control. But a second after, the golem’s eyes flared bright, and the chains snapped like twigs.

"DRAVIC!!!" the old man screamed—not in fear, but in betrayal.

A boom echoed through the chamber as the golem swung its hammer sideways. The formation master was pulled into the path of the blow.

The impact erased him.

He exploded into a spray of blood and flesh, a red mist scattering across the runed floor.

His two remaining assistants froze in horror—then bolted for the entrance.

They only reached a few steps.

A gravitational tug surged from the golem’s palms. Their bodies were dragged backward with sickening speed—each landing perfectly onto one of its metal hands.

CRUNCH. CRUNCH.

The bodies were crushed like dry wood.

Julian swallowed hard. He instantly regretted not cooperating with Dravic.
