Chapter 2776: Legacy 2
Chapter 2776: Legacy 2
All eyes widened in disbelief when the fierce golem—seconds ago a relentless killing machine—suddenly halted before Dravic. The white and gold figure froze mid-stride, then dropped to one knee with a heavy metallic thud. A hollow mechanical voice echoed through the hall:
[Authority confirmed. Awaiting command.]
"Hahahaha..." Dravic’s laughter burst out, wild and triumphant. "This is perfect! With this golem under my control, I don’t have to fear anyone!"
From afar, Julian clenched his fists so hard the bones creaked. Rage simmered beneath his calm expression. It was clear now—this had been Dravic’s plan all along. Manipulating him and his Nova Roma, led all to this moment. But even so, Julian kept his composure and spoke firmly.
"Dravic, you got what you wanted... Now do as you promise"
The Volkov leader’s grin widened as he stared at the violet pendant glowing in his palm. "Yes... yes, of course..." he murmured—before pointing straight at Poseidon and the magus specialist standing near him.
"Kill those two."
[Affirmative.]
"Dravic! You bastard!" Julian roared.
The golem shot forward with explosive speed, closing in on the recovering Poseidon. The sea god swung his trident desperately, but it was dodged with mechanical perfection. The counterattack came instantly.
The blow landed like a meteor.
BAMMM!!
Poseidon was smashed across the hall, blood spraying from his mouth. Before he could recover, the golem raised the Forgebreaker for a second strike—this one carrying the full weight of the hammer.
But at the final moment, the mysterious magus acted.
Space warped sharply. A spatial fold snapped open beneath their feet, pulling both him and Poseidon several meters away in an instant.
Their escape bought only seconds. The golem had already refocused and was charging after them with ferocious momentum.
But before it could close the distance, a sudden movement burst from behind Dravic.
Hundreds of silver strings erupted like a cyclone, converging on him with lethal intent. Most of them targeted the pendant in his grasp.
It was Vashka, in her puppet form.
"That key is mine!!" she shrieked.
The strings wrapped around Dravic in an instant, shimmering with her potent soul power. She intended not only to restrain him but to attack his spirit directly—crippling him long enough to seize the pendant.
"You dare betray me!?" Dravic roared in fury.
His battlefield domain exploded outward in response, violently bending the air around him. But Vashka was relentless. She poured every last shred of her strength into the assault. For a moment, sheer willpower overpowered brute force.
With a sudden yank—
She tore the pendant free.
The instant it touched her fingers, Vashka’s domain flared. Thousands of strings wove themselves into a massive cocoon, sealing her inside while simultaneously blocking Dravic from getting anywhere near her. Within the cocoon, she began probing the pendant with feverish intensity, attempting to forcefully imprint her soul onto it and claim the authority for herself.
"GIVE THAT BACK!!"
Driven half-mad with rage, Dravic hammered at the cocoon. The gauntlet artifacts on his arms blazed with runes as they amplified his blows. Each strike shredded dozens of strings, shaking Vashka’s formation more and more violently.
But even as the cocoon quivered under Dravic’s assault, she continued her desperate attempt to claim the pendant.
"They’re fighting each other," Athena whispered, watching the chaotic clash unfold from across the hall.
Julian didn’t waste a second. Instead of replying, he moved.
A majestic golden wing unfurled from his back—pure, radiant light bursting outward. His [Guardian of Faith] ignited, forming a brilliant halo behind him. The air trembled as divine energy surged through his body, elevating him far beyond the strength of an ordinary one-cosmos grand magus.
At last—he could wield his Tier-7 weapon set, Heaven’s Edge, at full capability.
His sword and shield erupted with divine brilliance. With a single step the floor cracked. With the second, he launched forward.
On the other side, the frantic Dravic snarled and hurled his metal anvil to block.
BAAMMM!!!
The impact shook the entire chamber. Julian pushed forward step by step, divine force grinding against Dravic’s raw brute strength.
Dravic gritted his teeth. He needed more time—just a few more seconds to shatter Vashka’s cocoon and reclaim the pendant.
But then the cocoon itself trembled violently.
Cracks spread from the inside.
Everyone watched in alarm as Vashka appeared in her soul form, pressing her hands against the glowing pendant. But instead of triumph... her expression was frozen in pure terror.
A swirl of violent energy exploded outward.
Her scream echoed like breaking glass.
Dravic threw his head back and laughed, "Hahahah... of course!!"
The pendant blazed with violet brilliance—brighter and brighter—while Vashka’s soul-color faded, dimming, shrinking...
...until she was swallowed entirely.
Her presence vanished.
Her spirit erased.
Vashka the thousands string was gone.
At that same moment, Julian’s relentless assault finally cracked Dravic’s defenses; the anvil buckled, its runes flickering.
Then—another figure entered the fray.
Casiel.
The seraph, pale and battered from the earlier battle. His six wings trembled but spread wide, shedding feathers of holy fire. With a breathless cry, he raised his javelin. The divine inscriptions across its length flared, and for a heartbeat, Casiel looked like a falling star given form.
He hurled himself into a final attack—a full-force charge.
The javelin streaked forward like a beam of heaven’s judgment, breaking Dravic last defense and straight toward him.
But shockingly, Dravic did not defend.
His expression was completely crazed as he used that last second to lunge for the pendant instead.
The jewel ignited—a brilliant violet radiance that pulsed like a heartbeat. The runes carved across its surface writhed to life, spinning in geometric patterns.
Then—
The hovering armor answered.
A metallic howl echoed through the hall as the tier-7 Randhall legendary armor suddenly came alive. As if pulled by invisible chains. They snapped toward Dravic in perfect, mechanical precision.
Piece by piece, the legendary armor assembled itself around Dravic’s broken body. Clamps locked. Plates fused. Runes pulsed. Just in time before Casiel javelin to hit.
BAMMM!!!
A shimmering hexagonal barrier erupted from Dravic’s chest, intercepting the holy strike. The impact still blasted Dravic backward another dozen meters—but the lethal blow was stopped.
The hall trembled from the force.
Casiel staggered, startled. The seraph barely had time to lift his guard.
Dravic rose within the armor—broken bones snapping back into alignment under the violet glow, wounds sealing behind the enchanted plates. He laughed, blood still smeared across his lips.
Before Casiel could react, Dravic’s two armored gauntlets shot forward and smashed onto the seraph’s head, one on each side.
BAMMM!!
That same crazed grin split Dravic’s face as his arms tightened like an iron vice around Casiel’s skull, fingers digging in as if trying to crush the seraph’s head piece by piece.
Casiel gritted his teeth, holy light exploding from every feather, wings beating with desperate strength. His domain surged outward.
With a roar, he thrust his javelin downward, divine fire channeled through the weapon to tear Dravic apart—
—but again, the pendant reacted first.
A beam of violet energy discharged point-blank into Casiel’s soul.
The seraph’s entire body shuddered, his flame sputtering. His divine technique collapsed mid-cast. His arms trembled helplessly.
"GRAAAHH—!!"
Pain warped Casiel’s voice as Dravic’s armored grip began crushing inward.
The seraph’s skull armor cracked. Blood trickled from his eyes. If it continued, Dravic would split his head apart.
"LET HIM GO!!" Julian shouted.
He charged, shield thrown ahead and sword blazing with divine fury. The shield struck Dravic’s helmet—CRACK!—but Dravic didn’t budge, too consumed by the pendant’s power.
Julian’s sword descended—
—but something moved faster.
A blur of metal.
The golem.
WHAM!!!
The golem’s kick struck Julian’s ribs, hurling him across the ground. He rolled, coughing blood, before the golem stomped onto him, pinning him with overwhelming strength.
Julian struggled. Failed.
His Guardian of Faith halo flickered under the crushing force.
The golem lifted the tier-7 hammer high—aimed directly at Julian’s exposed chest
Athena screamed. The others rushed forward—but they were too far.
Julian saw the hammer descend.
Then—
A hand caught the hammer mid-swing.
Stopping it cold.
Julian looked up.
A single figure stood before him, arm extended, eyes burning with sharp focus.
Emery.
"I’m sorry," he said, voice steady despite the chaos.
"I was held up."
And with his free hand, Emery punched the golem so hard the impact sent a shockwave—and the metal giant was thrown backward like a ragdoll.
