Chapter 3038: Advance Clones
Chapter 3038: Advance Clones
"Let me see it."
The Serpent Supreme simply watched as Emery severed his own forearm. Fresh blood splashed onto the prepared formation as the discarded flesh landed at its center. The intricate array immediately flared to life, drawing in spiritual energy from the mountains.
Next came the spirit stones.
One after another, Emery poured them into the formation until the total exceeded three hundred million spirit stones. The immense reserve of energy flooded the array, enough to sustain the birth of a Grand Magus-level clone. Under the guidance of his divine sense, the severed flesh rapidly expanded, muscles, bones, meridians, and organs taking shape as an entirely new body gradually formed within the glowing formation.
Unlike the first time he had performed the technique, however, there was one step Emery no longer needed.
Soul splitting.
He had already solved that problem.
Beside him, the dark avatar calmly stepped away from its deteriorating vessel. The weakened clone body crumbled almost immediately after losing its occupant, collapsing into lifeless flesh as the avatar’s spectral form floated forward.
The soul entered the newly forming body, preparing to merge with it before the vessel had even fully stabilized.
Ronan watched the entire process with amusement
Several minutes passed as the formation continued refining the new vessel.
Only after confirming the process had stabilized did Ronan finally speak again, his gaze never leaving the growing clone.
"This is a Two Cosmos body." His voice carried genuine curiosity. "Compared to your true body, how much of your strength can it wield? And how long can it remain stable?"
Emery answered honestly.
"At most, about three weeks. If I engage in continuous battles, probably only a few days."
He paused before adding,
"As for its physical capability... roughly two-thirds of my true body’s strength."
He explained that under normal circumstances he preferred creating One Cosmos clone bodies instead.
"They’re far more stable and can last several months, though their overall physique is only around 40% of the original"
Ronan nodded slowly, studying every detail of the newly formed vessel with growing interest.
"Remarkable..." He murmured, clearly impressed.
He watched the forming vessel for another moment before continuing.
"Normally, the most difficult part of this entire technique isn’t creating a strong body." His gaze shifted toward Emery’s dark avatar. "The true challenge is preventing the soul from dissipating faster than the body can sustain it."
His eyes lingered on the avatar with unmistakable fascination.
"But you..." he said with a faint smile. "A soul split this complete is extraordinary. Something that normally see only among the Supreme"
Emery listened patiently before asking the question once again.
"So... is there a solution?"
"Of course there is."
Ronan answered without hesitation.
"With your superior bloodline, combined with that perfectly divided soul.. you could create a clone body capable of wielding eighty... perhaps even ninety percent of your true strength."
A grin slowly spread across his face as excitement crept into his voice.
"And it’s even possible..." he said, leaning forward slightly, "to crate one that regenerates instead of decaying."
Emery froze.
If Ronan was telling the truth, such a clone would no longer be a temporary expendable vessel. It would be the closest thing imaginable to a second version of himself.
The implications were staggering.
Only moments earlier he had been forced to summon his dark avatar to help withstand the Dragon Supreme’s attack. During the mission to Baeldunm, the avatar had likewise become indispensable. Without realizing it, Emery had gradually begun relying on his avatars more and more with every major battle.
If one of them could truly retain nearly all of his power while continuously regenerating...
It would completely transform the way he fought.
Unable to hide the excitement in his eyes, Emery clasped his hands respectfully.
"Senior... if you’re willing, please teach me this method."
Ronan burst into hearty laughter.
"Hahaha! Of course you want it..." His smile became slightly mischievous. "But tell me... are you willing to pay the price?"
Emery hadn’t expected the knowledge to come free. He and Ronan weren’t close enough for a gift of that magnitude.
"Please state your request, Senior. If it is within my capability, I will do my best."
The Supreme stared at him for a second before chucke.
"Haha... no, no... you’ve misunderstood." He waved a dismissive hand. "I’ll teach you the method without asking anything in return. After all..." A faint smile appeared on his face. "We’re family."
The words caught Emery off guard.
Technically, he had married into the Ouroboros Serpent Clan, but he wasn’t naïve enough to believe that alone was enough for a Supreme to hand over such priceless knowledge. Even so, he chose to play along.
"Thank you, Senior. I’m truly grateful."
Ronan nodded before beginning his explanation.
"The creation of a true clone body consists of three stages: flesh severing, soul splitting, and the formation array."
The soul-splitting was already solved. Emery’s unique circumstance had accomplished what only Supreme cultivators could normally achieve, and Ronan possessed an advanced spell that would allow the separated soul to merge with a far stronger vessel.
As for the formation array, this one was a Tier 8 formation. Constructing it would require nearly ten times more spirit stones—a billion or two—and the assistance of a Grandmaster Formation Master.
"The hardest part," Ronan continued, "is the flesh."
Previously, Emery had only needed to cut away a portion of his own flesh while sacrificing his inner energy to create a clone.
This method demanded far more.
Not only would he have to sacrifice a much larger portion of his flesh, but he would also need to surrender part of his blood essence itself.
Every time he created one of these perfected clone bodies...
...his lifespan would be permanently shortened.
Seeing Emery quietly absorb the information, the Serpent Supreme grinned once again.
"Even then, all this will only give you a better clone—one that can last for months instead of weeks."
He leaned forward.
"If you want a clone that can truly rival your real body... one that can regenerate instead of slowly decaying..."
His grin widened.
"...then you’ll need one final ingredient."
Emery suddenly had a bad feeling.
"For someone at your level, you’ll need the fresh, undecomposed body of a Three Cosmos cultivator."
"..."
Emery’s expression stiffened.
Ronan added casually, "Another thing to note, the success rate is only about twenty percent. If the body belongs to a halfblood, it rises to thirty or forty percent."
Emery’s face paled.
A fresh Three Cosmos corpse?
Such a thing wasn’t merely difficult to obtain. Every Three Cosmos Grand Magus was a pillar of their faction, and their bodies remained priceless treasures even after death. Buying or selling them was forbidden throughout most of the Magus Universe.
And with such a low success rate, Emery would likely need several Three Cosmos bodies just to create a single successful clone.
He couldn’t help letting out a long sigh.
"...Is that even realistic?"
Ronan looked at him as though the answer were obvious.
"What’s so difficult about it? It’s only a few Three Cosmos bodies." He casually waved a hand toward the direction of the research facility. "The Supreme Gene Center has several."
"..."
Emery fell silent.
At that moment, he finally sensed the Serpent Supreme’s true intention behind this entire conversation.
