Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 3103: Surrounded

Chapter 3103: Surrounded

They barely made it a hundred miles across the open water before the pressure finally arrived.

Emery recognized the aura instantly.

It was the same terrifying presence that had chased him across the grassland, the same Supreme he had narrowly escaped by using the shadow-clone swap. He could still remember the overwhelming pressure that had nearly crushed his defenses back then.

Now, there was nowhere to hide.

Bragnir suddenly went rigid beside him, his eyes narrowing as he stared toward the distant horizon.

"...The Wildwrath Tyrant."

The infected Supreme did not give them even a moment to prepare.

His domain erupted outward.

The calm sea instantly became a battlefield as an overwhelming pressure descended from the sky, causing the air to tremble and the surface of the ocean to violently churn. An endless wilderness seemed to materialize around them, filled with the roars of countless unseen beasts.

Then dozens of massive spectral creatures tore their way into existence.

Each one was different. Some resembled enormous wolves and tigers, while others possessed twisted forms that seemed to belong to ancient beasts long forgotten by the world. Their bodies were formed entirely from condensed spiritual energy, yet the savage aura radiating from them felt almost tangible.

They were not ordinary summoned creatures.

They were manifestations of the Law of the Wilderness, given physical form through the Supreme’s domain.

All thirty-eight people felt the pressure at once.

The weaker One-Cosmos warriors froze where they stood, their bodies trembling uncontrollably as the overwhelming aura pressed down on their souls. Some struggled to breathe, while others could barely move their limbs. Even the stronger cultivators felt their movements become heavy under the Supreme’s absolute suppression.

Emery gritted his teeth and immediately forced open his Twilight Transformation.

A surge of primal energy exploded through his body, pushing back against the invisible pressure and allowing him to regain control of his movements. The transformation had barely stabilized, however, when the Wildwrath Tyrant suddenly raised one massive arm.

The spectral beasts around him roared.

A dozen of them surged forward at the same time, their enormous bodies merging into a single devastating wave of savage power as they charged toward the group.

Durnok reacted instinctively.

His Earth Domain surged, creating a manifestation of two massive stone palms that came together to shield the group.

The attack struck.

The stone palms shattered instantly, fragments of rock exploding in every direction as the combined force tore through the barrier without slowing.

Behind the shattered barrier, Bragnir’s body suddenly expanded.

Muscles and metal surged across his frame as his body grew to five times its original size, transforming him into a towering metal giant. He raised both massive hammers and planted his feet firmly against the surface of the water, meeting the incoming attack head-on.

BOOOOOM!

The collision created an enormous shockwave.

The sea beneath them exploded outward, sending towering waves in every direction as Bragnir’s massive body was pushed backward. He managed to absorb most of the attack, but the force that slipped past him still swept across the group.

Several dwarves were thrown violently into the air.

Two of them were caught directly in the impact.

Their bodies could not withstand the overwhelming force and were torn apart instantly, exploding into red mist that scattered across the surface of the sea.

"NO!" Bragnir scream in despair.

The Supreme did not pause, and before the group could recover, a second attack was already forming.

Emery has finished activated the Star Plaque, its ancient runes blazing as spirit energy surged outward and formed a protective barrier around the group just as another wave of attacks crashed down upon them.

BAAAMMM

The barrier tremble violently, while Emery coughed up blood as the force passed through the Star Plaque and struck his spiritual defenses.

Without the ark’s Ironstar Pillars reinforcing it, the Star Plaque was operating at roughly thirty percent less capacity, and it had still not fully recovered from the intense battle during their escape from the Crimson Steppes.

By the third strike, cracks had already begun spreading across the golden barrier.

Emery’s expression grew grim.

There was no time to open a portal large enough to evacuate the entire group, and even if he managed to create one, the Supreme would never give them enough time to escape.

For a brief moment, a terrible thought crossed his mind.

Should he run?

No.

He wouldn’t abandon them.

Excalibur solidified in his grip as primal energy surged through his body, merging with the Elysian power flowing through his Dao of Heaven and Earth. The pressure around him intensified as the barrier finally cracked open under another devastating strike.

Emery surged forward through the opening.

The Supreme roared and met him head-on, its massive fist wrapped in savage power as it crashed toward him.

BOOM!

The collision sent Emery flying several meters across the air, but he twisted his body and regained his footing before immediately charging back in. He swung Excalibur again, while Khaos energy poured through his limbs and his own primal nature began to awaken further under the immense pressure of the battle.

[Primal Integration increasing]

The next exchange came even faster.

Then another.

Neither side gave ground as they traded devastating blows above the vast ocean, each collision sending shockwaves across the water and shaking the surrounding sky.

What followed was no longer a battle between ordinary cultivators.

It was a brutal clash between two primal beasts, each relying on overwhelming physical power and instinct, trading blow for blow as the sky above the ocean trembled beneath their confrontation.

Bragnir and Durnok stared in shock at the sheer scale of Emery’s power, but there was no time to marvel at it.

The rest of the infected horde had finally caught up from behind, and among them stood five Three-Cosmos war chiefs, once some of the most celebrated names across the Crimson Steppes, now reduced to corrupted shells wearing the titles they had once earned through countless battles.

Seeing the fear spreading among his people, Bragnir roared over the chaos.

"If this is our last stand, then let them see what the warriors of Kharzun Hold are made of!"
