Chapter 6701: Can’t Compete With The High Heaven Relying On External Help

The actual tree was connected to three thousand worlds via its roots. Mastering it meant being able to borrow these worlds’ primordial powers.

The tree and the will were one. However, this didn’t mean Taichu could truly use the will. It belonged to Li Qiye, but he never refined it into his true fate. He left it in the mortal world, allowing it to grow into the primordial tree.

Now, Taichu called for additional power and seized the upper hand, overwhelmingly pushing Li Qiye’s Origin Dao back.

“Boom!” The shockwaves from Taichu’s punch alone could kill regular immortals and decapitate overlords.

“Not bad.” Li Qiye didn’t change his stance and maintained the balance. However, another Li Qiye appeared behind him.

After a deafening roar, a gluttonous beast appeared and started devouring. It had devoured Taichu’s Primordial Suppression on top of these shockwaves, choosing to send everything back.

He utilized another dao known as Boundless Form from an unknown divine beast. It became a fusion of three inborn dao - Origin Dao, Limitless Devouring, and Boundless Form.

“!” Taichu’s expression changed as he assumed a defensive stance, turning back into a primordial egg.

This form resembled the high heaven, looming above all and unbreakable.

Unfortunately, he was half a step too late. If he had changed his stance earlier, he might have been able to block the attack.

“Bam!” It sent him flying while vomiting blood. However, the tree healed him fully once he stood up.

“Can he be defeated?” Spectators asked.

The triple dao earlier injured Taichu but the tree healed him within a split second. So what if Li Qiye was stronger?

“What was the third gift, Sacred Teacher?” Taichu couldn’t help but ask.

“Boundless Form of a shapeshifting serpent.” Li Qiye said.

“It appears you can use all the innate gifts at once.” Taichu said.

“I’m unsure, this is my first time using them.” Li Qiye stroked his chin.

“It’s unbeatable, these innate gifts are magical and you elevate them to the next level so effortlessly.” Taichu said.

“Having the same source as the primordial simplifies everything.” Li Qiye smiled.

“It frustrates me a little to know how you abandoned the primordial despite being better than me at controlling it.” Taichu said sentimentally.

“You are in a rather high state. No other primordial immortals can kill you.” Li Qiye said.

“I owe it to you, Sacred Teacher. I don’t think you can break the primordial will using just the innate gifts.” Taichu said.

When Li Qiye used Boundless Form of the shapeshifting serpent, he could use several techniques at their highest state at once.

The divine beasts themselves couldn’t reach this level but Li Qiye could. This allowed him to dominate Taichu but killing him was a different issue.

“The primordial will or the nine heavenly treasures, they’re still external.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, Master mentioned the effects the primordials have on each other. However, although I was born in the tree, I am different from them. They were one entity, hence the connection. I, on the other hand, am indestructible with the will.” Taichu said.

“This is why the old geezer wanted to find it, to reach this state.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Yet you discarded it, this perplexes me.” Taichu said.

“This is an essential step to defeat the high heaven. One cannot rely on external things to defeat it.” Li Qiye said.

Taichu let out a sigh after hearing this.

“Master shared the same thought but putting that aside, I should still be unkillable in this battle unless you seize my primordial will.” Taichu said.

“No one is unkillable until the true immortal realm. I can kill you with these divine gifts.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“In theory, yes, but are you the primordial will?” Li Qiye asked.
