“Who will punish me?” He asked.

“Look behind you.” Li Qiye smiled.

He looked back and saw a primordial tree behind him.

“Buzz.” A crack appeared on the tree.

“Damn!” He realized something and tried to run. Alas, it was too late.

“Wretched child!” Someone beyond the crack let out a soul-stirring shout. This was of the primordial stage.

Three figures could be seen in a triangular formation. One of them was a big eye.

Their auras oozed through the crack and engulfed the world, instantly sealing him in amber.

“Sacred Teacher, you promised to make me an immortal!” He shouted.

“Yes, but you needed to be free. How else would I help you? And I never promised to save you. This is no longer my matter, your masters wish to punish you.” Li Qiye waved dismissively.

He opened his mouth but words no longer came out. The amber solidified and sealed him.

This amber could seal an immortal and was wasted on him, an overlord. This was not part of his calculation since he thought his masters had fled away from Three Immortals.

Back then, Zhan Sansheng and the other two redemption grounds were the main fighting forces against his master. He sold their secrets, helping with the right plan to deliver a fatal blow.

They bowed before dragging the amber into the crack. It closed afterward.

Everyone wondered if this was truly the end of Xian Chengtian since they had been fooled before.

“Well deserved.” A big shot said.

Xian Chengtian’s most heinous sin was betraying his masters. He didn’t commit other serious offenses. Those who interacted with him had a good impression while his disciples cherished him.

In a sense, he still had a better outcome than Bao Pu. The latter became an abomination and died a dishonorable death. Either way, it felt as if a higher power had doomed them in retribution. Their powerful cultivation couldn’t prevent it.

“Go.” Li Qiye allowed him to leave.

“Thank you, I pray for your success in becoming a true immortal.” Weizhen said respectfully.

“You have a good foundation and a firm dao heart, you can become an immortal in the future.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I appreciate it. Even if I become an immortal, I will be an idle farmer.” Weizhen was one of the few who earned Li Qiye’s recognition.

There was a stark contrast between him and the others. Bao Pu, the ghost, and even Xian Chengtian did everything to become immortals. As for Weizhen, he took his time and still chose to obey his master’s command - living reclusively.
