“Buzz.” The three divine artifacts resonated with her bestial aura.

“Crack!” The metals melted, revealing three bones with runes.

Beast runes differed from dao runes and primordial runes. They had images of beasts and contained the innate gifts.

“Crack!” The three bones automatically assembled.

“Soul call!” Xiaoyue’s primordial energy became thick enough to be visible, controlling the bones.

A dazzling radiance surged forth from the bones like a lake, forming a dao ring on the ground. It resembled the gate of hell, leading to the yellow spring with all the souls.

She channeled her power into the ring like a tsunami. If left uncontrolled, this would obliterate Beastmaster in the blink of an eye.

Sure enough, Qing Ji’s soul was summoned. This was a mature divine beast from Divine Firmament, powerful beyond imagination.

However, its appearance bore no semblance to a divine beast except for its radiating aura.

It was a spirit of the march taking on a male human form, only a little over ten centimeters tall. He wore a golden crown and robe, riding on a golden carriage.

Despite being dead long ago, this tiny creature still had a pure bestial aura of the marsh. It spread across Beastmaster and forced others into submission. One could only imagine his power while he was alive.

“Who calls for me?!” Qing Ji roared intimidatingly.

“You tell me.” Xiaoyue spoke.

“You!” Qing Ji’s expression changed drastically. The first reaction was to run so he controlled his carriage to leave.

“Leaving so soon?” Li Qiye smiled.

Just his will alone suppressed Qing Ji’s soul. A bit more force and it would disperse into smoke.

“Who are you?” The soul possessed incredible knowledge, aware of the great being before him. He knew that even if he were alive, he would still stand no chance. This invoked fear despite his current state.

“Just someone who has a few questions for you.” Li Qiye said.

“About?” Qing Ji asked.

“Do you see this little girl?” Li Qiye glanced at the girl with a smirk.

Qing Ji stared at her for a bit before shaking his head: “I’m unfamiliar.”

“Is that so? Really now?” Li Qiye said.

“Regular beings are mere insects. Why would I bother to care?” Qing Ji said.

“From what I see, her bloodline has connections to the divine beasts.” Li Qiye said.

“You’re asking the wrong person. She knows more about the bloodline than I do. And most importantly, I’m a soul, she’s an immortal.” Qing Ji said while staring at Xiaoyue.

“She knows the girl’s bloodline but nothing about the origin.” Li Qiye said.

“I don’t know, look at what I am now after dying so many years, how would I know her background?” Qing Ji said.

“No matter how I look at it, you are connected to this.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I am dead with no bloodline remaining in any world. Even if I did, it couldn’t pass down until now, especially not manifesting in this lifeform.” Qing Ji said.

Li Qiye nodded and stroked his chin: “True, it’s not your divine bloodline.”

“I’m sure if I had descendants, they are all dead now. Nothing outside of Divine Firmament could have inherited my bloodline.” Qing Ji added.

“I have a guess.” Li Qiye said: “This lifeform has nothing to do with you, sure, from a bloodline perspective. However, you brought her out of Divine Firmament.”

“Impossible!” Both Qing Ji and Xiaoyue shouted, seemingly sharing the same stance.

“Why not?” Li Qiye stared at them.

Qing Ji hesitated, not wanting to speak or lie. After all, lying to someone like Li Qiye was unwise. He would see through it instantly.

Since Qing Ji didn’t want to speak, Li Qiye turned his attention toward Xiaoyue.

“When we pursued him, he didn’t bring any life out of Divine Firmament. Moreover, no one went missing either.” She sighed and said.
