“But do you believe me?” He said arrogantly.

“Of course I do.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Do you still want to know then?” He asked.

“You should understand that if I want this secret, you will have to pay the price, and after paying it, you won’t be the one freed.” Li Qiye said.

“It’s a massive secret that will be helpful in your fight. It can be useful when you have your answer too.” He said.

“Perhaps, but I alone am enough to deal with the high heaven.” Li Qiye said.

“No, because a mortal has emotions and desires, you don’t have anything connected to this world.” He said.

“I still have emotions and desires, that’s why I’m trying to save you.” Li Qiye said.

“No, it’s karma, you wish to unravel all your existing karmic strands.” He disagreed.

“Words hurt, am I not here with sincerity and love?” Li Qiye said.

“I would believe you in your previous realm since I have your memories. The previous Li Qiye, the dark crow, was full of emotions, deep love, stubbornness, hatred, vengeance, and more. The current you, nothing, only karma. You know the start and the beginning and are only playing along.” He said: “Even if you are displaying emotions, it is due to the karmic ties. When the karma is gone, you will give nothing. Otherwise, you would still be staying.”

Li Qiye paused and said: “There shouldn’t be immortals in this world.”

“That’s a separate issue. To stay or not, that’s your issue. It’s not that the world shouldn’t have immortals, it’s that you don’t want to stay.” He said.

“Is that so?” Li Qiye nodded: “Cruel to the self indeed, but generous to others, as long as karma permits.”

“You don’t need to do this since you’re strong enough to shatter karma.” He said coldly: “Now, it’s all transactional.”

“I’ve thought of this too.” Li Qiye said: “I could simply do whatever I please without measuring karma. But now, I can’t.”

“Why is that? Is it true?” He asked.

“Yes, it’s come to this. I am an adult now. This world can handle children, but not an adult.” Li Qiye said.

“Then what are celestial immortals? Those with access to maternal powers.” He asked.

“A toddler, at best?” Li Qiye touched his nose and said.

“All we got are fake immortals, or not even that.” Li Qiye ignored him and said.

“Serves you right.” He slumped down and muttered.

“Yes, no need for a savior. When the karma is resolved, that’s time.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Time to leave.” He understood.

“Because this world cannot contain my karma.” Li Qiye smiled.

“What if you set it free?” He asked.

“Let me put it this way, if I use a bit of effort to sow a sliver of karma, I can bulldoze everything. Even if I stand above and purposely separate them from myself and this world, they will still cause eternal turbulence.” Li Qiye said.
