Chapter 7148: Sea of Wisdom
Chapter 7148: Sea of Wisdom
“Isn’t it time to run?” Someone remarked.
Mortals didn’t have the option but overlords and up could do so. Emperors and ancient ancestors would find it challenging.
“Where to?” An overlord asked since they had never left Divine Firmament.
Due to its vastness, they would only travel from one firmament to another. They lacked the knowledge of reaching the unknown.
Of course, immortals were different.
“Have to leave first before the divine beasts come back.” One immortal fled without thinking.
However, the majority were frozen in place. Those in the overlord and immortal realm in this world were dragon servants. Joining this group and serving the divine beasts were their original goals. Losing their spiritual totem left them lost.
“Monarch, you still don’t want to leave?” Stone Immortal asked.
“I want to die here. The calamity is coming anyway.” The monarch sighed.
Stone Immortal paused in place. Although the monarch had freed them and told them to leave, they didn’t exactly know where to go. Moreover, they didn’t think about the calamity, having been distracted by the attempted devouring.
Many immortals realized this and thought that their own world was the most familiar. Most importantly, they had built personal grottos here. Wouldn’t that be the safest place for them, rather than the foreign outside world?
“The sea of wisdom might be the safest place.” Some immortals had a bold thought.
After all, the divine beasts wanted to use this sea to survive the calamity. They could also do the same now that Li Qiye had opened it.
However, it wasn’t that easy once they arrived. The sea was an illusory world, no different than a maze.
From the outside, it appeared to be frozen. On the inside, time and space worked normally. Visitors felt a strange seawater coursing everywhere, not constrained by the natural laws.
It flowed from all directions and timelines. While traveling in this sea, one could reach the past, present, or future.
Moreover, the water appeared to be alive like fish or rather, souls.
“Is this a living world, or like a reincarnation path?” An overlord commented.
This was akin to breathing air in the outside world, but the air was alive and merely flowed through the body.
“Could it be that we’re within a lifeform?” A powerful immortal released her divine intent, wanting to outline the sea. Alas, this world was huge and the more she attempted, the more she was affected by its life affinity.
“In someone’s body.” Another immortal said.
“Feels like a vein.” One more speculated.
“If this is true, who is it?” An overlord asked.
“A divine beast, it’s a familiar feeling.” A skykiller dragon servant sensed something amiss.
“Which one?” A compassion asked.
“True dragon...” The dragon servant’s expression changed.
“Impossible!” Those nearby shouted.
