Chapter 1517 1517: Is this the way? (Part 2)

One punch from the giant stone golem.

That was enough for Adam to understand something.

'I took that punch wrong...' He thought, looking at his hands. 'I felt it for just a moment, but then something prevented me from moving forward.'

Adam knew what prevented him from feeling the ancient energy that filled the Head Golem's body.

The answer was simple: the reason was his own energy.

It was as if he were a gourmet trying to delve into the taste of a completely new ingredient he had never encountered before, but had forgotten to remove all the spices and sauce for the first bite.

It didn't matter whether the ingredient was tasty or not. If he wanted to feel its pure taste, nothing should interfere with it.

"I see," Adam muttered, looking at the ice crystals. "Silvana, we're going down to zero..."

Silvana raised an eyebrow. She didn't know what that meant, but in the next moment, a powerful pressure came down on her.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

Adam released his entire aura, using all the sources of power he had. Not only was Adam's energy affected, but Silvana, the Silver Weaver, Lone Blaze, and even the Evolution Tree itself were affected.

'Shit! What is he doing?!'

In a panic, Silvana plunged into the inner space to understand what was happening.

In the next moment, Silvana's eyes widened as she watched the seemingly impossible scene.

The Evolution Tree shone brightly like a star ready to explode from an excess of energy. A powerful stream of darkness emanated from the top where the Silver Weaver was located, as well as black flames from the very center where Lone Blaze remained.

The Evolution Vein, which contained Silvana's energy and powers, was no exception.

Adam used all the power available to him, and in the real world, it was even more evident.

"What the...?" Alexia's jaw dropped as she stared at Adam.

The young man with a bloodied shoulder and right arm stood amid the snow-covered lands, while one stream of energy after another billowed from his body like wild flames.

At one point, the energy became so great that the flames formed a stream that descended, passing directly along his body to the ground.

The Head Golem and Alexia watched as dark and white energy waves spread across the ground around Adam, while the space around him trembled from the excess of power in one spot.

Even the barrier protecting the abyss shuddered, seemingly sensing the threat of a Phantom before it.

'Wait, what if he hits the barrier with all that power?' Alexia thought as she turned around. 'Will he have enough power to destroy the barrier? If he used all that energy against the worm, he could tear off its head with his bare hands!'

Sure, Alexia was strong as well, but she wasn't sure she could create a similar scene.

Adam's energy looked terrifying even to her, who was his equal and ally.

However, this was not part of Adam's plan, but merely preparation.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

With a new tremor, his aura began to rapidly diminish. He wasn't just trying to hide his aura, but getting rid of it along with his energy.

He was suppressing his power as he did during practice or at the casino, but on a much larger scale than ever before.

In just a few minutes, Silvana's heart sank with a sharp pain as she looked at the Evolution Tree once more.

It was empty.

Instead of the masses of white energy that had filled Adam's source of power from day one, there was only a transparent shell with darkness inside, indicating its complete emptiness.

Somewhere deep inside, a spark of light remained that could reignite the flame, but now Adam had lost almost all of his power.

For Silvana, it felt like a drop in altitude.

One moment she was on top of a mountain, and the next she was at the bottom of the sea. It happened abruptly and without warning.

"Adam..." Silvana touched his head. "What are you doing?"

...

After a few moments, Adam took a deep breath, but this time the earth was not so kind to him.

Frosty gusts of wind blew toward him as ice covered his cheeks and fingertips.

If an ordinary human had been in his place, the same thing would have happened to them. In less than a minute, an ordinary human would turn into a piece of ice.

Step. Step. Step.

Adam moved forward, feeling the wild cold penetrate his bones with every step.

For the first time in a long time, the Head Golem became more serious.

Even though a White Threat Monster could now inflict a fatal wound on Adam, the Head Golem no longer looked at Adam with arrogance and curiosity. He sensed a threat from a Phantom who, after just one attempt, had resorted to such radical measures.

Alexia stepped aside, clearing the way for Adam, his shoulder wound already covered with a thick layer of ice.

With a calm gaze, Adam raised his head, looking serenely at the Head Golem.

"One more time. Make one more punch."

The Head Golem grumbled.

"Young man... This will be fatal for you. You will die before my fist even reaches you... The pure force will tear your body to pieces..."

However, in response, he saw only Adam's eyes, clear as ancient ice, while his heart beat slower and slower.

"I see..." The Head Golem nodded, bringing his hand back. "If that is your decision, then I have no right to refuse you... All I can do is respond to your wish with my full strength!"

The Head Golem clenched his fist, using vast amounts of energy, before attacking Adam once more. This punch was significantly more powerful than the previous one.

However, Adam had no intention of dodging or counterattacking.

Instead, he raised his hand, holding his palm forward.

He had no other choice, as his feet were already frozen and he couldn't even step to the side.

'Let's see what you're capable of, ancient energy,' Adam thought as gray-purple flows reflected in his eyes.
