Chapter 1564: Azure Eye
Chapter 1564: Azure Eye
Several times in Adam’s history, his opponents were alive and even able to continue fighting after receiving horrific wounds.
At the Primal Lands, this number increased dramatically. All the monsters here possessed impressive control over energy, muscles, and body, as well as tremendous endurance.
However, even knowing all this, Adam couldn’t believe that Vaarh could survive a hail of blades. Twenty great blades pierced Vaarh’s body from all sides, and still, he was alive.
Or... Was it all Adam’s mistake?
He and Alexia had seen the state Vaarh was in when they first met, what had happened to his old body. All that remained of the great dragon was a head with a bare neck bone and nothing else.
Still, it was enough for him to create the Frost Oasis and his new body, which was close to the power of the weakest Lord.
"W-What...?"
Alexia’s voice trembled while the azure eye looked at both her and Adam at the same time.
"That bastard is alive? He survived even after that?!"
Crack. Crack. Crack.
At the same moment, Vaarh’s muscles trembled as the imaginary blades reached their limit. All twenty blades shattered into fragments like fragile glass, leaving only bleeding cuts in their place.
In fact, this was not good news for Vaarh.
Pulling the blade out of the wound and leaving it open was a rookie mistake, as it caused accelerated bleeding.
Considering how many wounds Vaarh had received and how wide the blades were, his bleeding was only going to get worse.
But...
Thump. Thump. Thump.
His muscles tensed, and his skin was covered with gray-blue energy. At Vaarh’s will, the energy turned into long, thin nails that closed each of his many wounds like stitches. The only exception was his throat, where he completely stopped the bleeding with a large amount of energy.
Alexia gulped.
Now, the dragon that had emerged after ten blades had fallen on him was moving towards her, closing his wounds with nails created from his own energy.
Even for an experienced warrior like her who loved to fight, this was beyond the pale.
To top it all off, the azure eye still hovered above Vaarh, never leaving him, like his third eye that saw much more than his two.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Alexia’s heart began to beat faster, and cold sweat broke out on her back as she rose from the ground, assuming a fighting stance.
In a heartbeat, Vaarh disappeared as his hand fell on Alexia’s face. It all happened faster than she could even blink.
"I made a mistake..." Vaarh croaked. "I should have gotten rid of you from the very beginning. You’re like an annoying fly that poses no threat but causes too many problems!"
His muscles tensed as he threw Alexia forward with all his strength.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Alexia’s back smashed through five icy peaks in her path, each one sending a dull pain through her body, but she had no time for that because Vaarh was already ahead of her.
"Shit, don’t underestimate me!" Alexia shouted as she confidently stood on the ground and clenched her fist tightly.
In the middle of her punch, Vaarh lunged forward and pushed her wrist aside with just his palm.
As a result, her fist flew over his shoulder instead of hitting him directly in the face.
But Alexia didn’t have that kind of accuracy or speed.
BAM!
Vaarh’s fist plunged deep into her stomach, causing her to gasp in pain.
"Don’t worry. I won’t make that mistake again, which is why I’m going to end this right here and now!"
The next few seconds were perhaps the most difficult fight of Alexia’s life.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Vaarh moved from side to side, raining punches and kicks down on her weak spots, whether it was her stomach, arms, ankles, knees, or throat.
Sure, even under such pressure, Alexia was not going to give up. She may not have been a monster from the Prima Lands, but her endurance was also at a very high level.
A few missed blows couldn’t break her, but something else could: failure.
"Take that!" Alexia exclaimed, delivering a wide kick that Vaarh simply blocked with his palm.
Her foot crashed into his hand, and her ankle ended up in Vaarh’s firm grip.
"Not bad moves. But if you hope to match even the most insignificant Baron with that level of skill, then you clearly don’t understand what you want. You shouldn’t have come here."
Step.
Vaarh stepped forward before raising his palm.
"K4-Level is more than enough to survive all future World Wipes and live under the protection of your queen. You should have accepted that role and enjoyed life."
A dark gleam flashed across his eyes.
"Well, we all make mistakes, don’t we? And only a small fraction of us can stop in time."
Alexia clenched her fist tightly as she prepared to launch her next attack to free her feet, but Vaarh saw everything.
He knew she would do it, so he was faster.
Whoooooosh!
Like a blunt axe, Vaarh’s palm slammed into Alexia’s leg, breaking her bone.
Crackle.
The loud crunch of broken bone echoed around as Alexia’s eyes widened from the wave of pain that washed over her.
"F-Fuck."
Gritting her teeth, she directed all her energy into her fist. She had to finish her strike.
BAM!
Vaarh’s fist slammed into her jaw, knocking out another tooth and sending her flying ten meters.
With a calm but arrogant look, Vaarh watched as Alexia tried to get up from the ground.
Blood flowed from her mouth and nose, but that wasn’t her main problem now.
Thump!
Her legs buckled as she collapsed to the ground. She was too weak to stand with her broken leg.
Vaarh nodded slightly as he prepared to step forward to finish her off.
At the same moment, a shadow fell over him.
Even without looking at Adam, who was already launching his attack, Vaarh raised his arm as Adam’s fist slammed into Vaarh’s forearm, knocking him back several meters.
"Agh... Agh... Agh..."
Adam was breathing heavily as he looked at Vaarh and Azure Eye staring into his soul.
"What about now, Silvana?"
He asked.
"Any ideas on how to defeat this?"
