Endless Evolution: Last Star

Chapter 1859: A Weak Touch and a Request

Chapter 1859: A Weak Touch and a Request

Ten days had already passed since Adam and Amelia’s training session.

Adam had a strong body, but it took him quite a while to recover after each session of treatment with Vador and training with Amelia.

So, Adam spent most of his time learning to use the Soul Stance and restoring Vador’s Evolution Tree, one part at a time.

After that, he would go to sleep, and the cycle would repeat.

For the first few days, Adam was full of excitement. He enjoyed seeing his progress, but over time, he realized it had turned into a routine, especially the part with Vador.

Whooooosh!

Adam swung his needle, making another stitch. He connected a massive part of the Evolution Tree, just as he had done dozens of times before.

Originally, there were about fifty parts of Vador’s Evolution Tree.

However, that didn’t mean Adam only had to combine fifty parts. When he combined part number one and part number two, he created another part that was larger, but soon, he had to combine that part with another one as well.

Sure, after each merger, the total number of parts decreased, but only by one.

“Agh…” Adam sighed heavily as he looked up.

After ten long days, he had practically finished the work.

All that remained were three massive parts of the tree. Once Adam merged them, Vador’s Evolution Tree would be restored.

Sure, it wouldn’t happen right away. Vador would need quite a bit of time to return to his former level and restore all his lost energy, but even over the past ten days, his condition had improved significantly.

“He’s still losing his energy and getting weaker. Well, I’ll solve that problem soon.”

Step.

Adam stepped forward and set to work. The last three parts were enormous, each one half the size of his own Evolution Tree.

To join all three parts into one, Adam would have to make several hundred seams and create hundreds of meters of his dual-thread.

He was ready for this, knowing that even this wouldn’t be the end of it.

“Tsk. When Amelia asked me to save her father, she didn’t mention just how much work awaited me. Even when I restore this tree… I still won’t have solved the main problem, right?”

Adam glared at the white vase floating in the darkness. The Spirit of Eternal Winter, its core had been destroyed as well.

Unlike the Evolution Tree, Adam had no idea how he was supposed to restore the Legacy Artifact.

“Something tells me my needle and thread won’t be enough for this. Agh, fine, I’ll think about it later. First, I have to finish this!”

At the same time, Amelia and Romara were, as usual, in the room next to Adam and Vador.

They were there for different reasons, but they both hoped that Adam would make significant progress today.

“Yesterday he said he’d completed 93% of the work.” Romara’s deep voice rang out as she took a sip of tea. “Do you think he’ll be able to finish everything today?”

“I don’t know,” Amelia replied dryly. “In any case, the father’s Evolution Tree will be fully restored within the next few days. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, it doesn’t really matter.”

Romara looked at Vador, her gaze softening.

“You’re right. But Adam will need to restore his Legacy Artifact as well. I doubt he has any kind of plan. Before he met you, he didn’t even know they existed.”

Amelia shook her head.

“I’ll take care of it. I’ve already thought it all through.”

“Agh?”

“I know how Adam can restore my father’s Spirit of Eternal Winter.”

A glint flashed across Amelia’s eyes.

“I’ll let Adam enter my inner space and take a part of my artifact.”

Romara’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“B-But…! Amelia! That will jeopardize your progress!”

“That remains to be seen.” Amelia narrowed her eyes. “At best, I’ll just be weakened for a while and need a few weeks to recover. At worst, I’ll suffer serious damage, but the risk is worth it.”

Romara bit her lip as she looked at Adam.

“A lot will depend on him… If he does everything right, then you might be right. But if he makes a mistake, another tragedy awaits our family.”

“He’ll manage. I’m sure of it.”

Amelia was about to say something else when suddenly a loud rumble came from the entrance.

RUMBLE!

“What the…?” Romara spun around sharply, disbelief written all over her face.

She sensed several active auras near the gates of their residence, and that wasn’t supposed to happen here, on the upper level!

Amelia frowned.

“Stay here! Make sure Adam is safe!”

Without hesitation, Amelia dashed forward, racing through their massive mansion at high speed.

Soon, judging by the trembling auras in the distance, Romara realized what was going on as she turned to Adam.

‘It’s all because of him. Adam Vinter… right, how could I have forgotten what kind of Phantom he is? No, I mustn’t think about that now. Amelia was right, this young man actually has a chance of curing Vador.’

Setting her cup aside, Romara stood up and headed toward Adam.

‘He can continue the treatment later. Right now, I have to get him to a safe place.’

She reached out her hand to him.

‘Agh…?’

However, before she could touch Adam, something else grabbed her wrist.

To Romara’s shock, it was Vador. He was severely emaciated, but still alive.

Until then, he’d only had enough strength to breathe.

A shiver ran through Romara as she looked into his eyes.

Slowly, his pupil twitched to one side, then the other.

After that, his hand fell onto the bed. His strength was gone.

But that was enough to get the message across to Romara.

‘Does he not want me to disturb him?’

Romara thought as hope lit up in her eyes.

“That means…” she murmured, pressing her palm to her chest. “He’s almost done!”

The sounds of battle rang out from outside, but that didn’t bother Romara as soon as she saw what she had been waiting for so long.

Tremble!

Adam’s aura grew stronger, and a bright light burst from Vader’s chest, flooding the room.
