Chapter 561: A Little Bun’s Treasure Hunting Adventure!

Chapter 561: A Little Bun’s Treasure Hunting Adventure!

Armed with a compass, Dim Dim started its mission. The little bun started its treasure hunt, following the direction of the needle.

As Dim Dim made his way to the mysterious treasure, it happily hummed its best friend’s favorite song while swaying side to side.

It hadn’t forgotten what Morax told it a while ago about the compass.

The compass would point to what its owner considered their treasure. Dim Dim itself had no idea what it considered a treasure, so it was very eager to find out.

The students of the academy greeted the familiar trio who regularly patrolled the academy.

Daisy used to intimidate them, but they soon realized that the Doom Cow had never shown a single sign of aggression toward the students, so some grew brave enough to go close to her.

Also, everyone found the lively "Nature Spirit," Dim Dim, cute, and the little bun was more than happy to befriend everyone. Students, mostly the ladies, would even gift it some snacks like cookies whenever they came across the Dim Sum God in the middle of its daily patrols.

After a few minutes, the little bun noticed that the compass was pointing at the magical knight training ground.

"Dim!" Dim Dim pointed at the entrance, asking Daisy to head inside.

This wasn’t the first time that they had patrolled the training ground, and even the Professors were already used to seeing them there.

No one was too surprised when the Academy Police arrived at the training ground.

To its surprise, the needle of the compass was pointing to a young man with short silver hair, who also noticed the little bun’s arrival.

"Hmm..." Dim Dim checked its compass to make sure that it was properly working.

It even shook it a bit to see if the result would change, but the compass still pointed at Alex, and was even following him as he moved across the training ground.

"Dim Dim?" Dim Dim blinked once then twice before asking Daisy to approach Alex.

When they were only a few meters apart, the young man walked up to Daisy and patted the little bun’s head.

"Are you patrolling the training grounds today?" Alex asked.

"Dim Dim." Dim Dim shook its head.

"You’re treasure hunting?"

"Dim!"

"Heh..."

Just as Alex was about to ask more, Lavinia called out to him to continue their sparring match.

"Alex, the Professor is looking," Lavinia said. "Let’s finish our spar before you play with Dim Dim."

"Coming!" Alex replied before bidding the three goodbye.

Suddenly, the compass moved and pointed in Lavinia’s direction, making the little bun scratch its head.

"Dim Dim?"

But, just as the little bun was thinking that the compass might be broken, it moved once more to point at another person.

This time, it pointed at Renard.

Its curiosity got the better of it, so Dim Dim asked Daisy to walk toward Renard.

The young man sat on the grass, watching everyone continue their sparring matches. It seemed that his spar with his classmate had just ended, so he was taking a break.

"What’s wrong, Dim Dim?" Renard asked. "Do you need me for something?"

Renard usually didn’t like to take the initiative to talk to people unless it was absolutely important.

But maybe he saw Dim Dim more like a pet than a person, so he found it significantly easier to talk to the bun without thinking too much.

"Dim Dim~"

"You’re doing treasure hunting? At this place?"

Renard frowned. Clearly, the training ground was the last place where someone would bury a treasure.

Suddenly, the needle of Dim Dim’s compass moved once more, prompting the little bun to continue its little adventure.

It left the training ground and headed to the location of the different cafes that catered to the students in the academy.

There it saw Vaan.

The young lady—errr, man was surrounded by ladies who were happily sharing gossips in the academy.

Alex’s secret Knight looked like a delicate lady on the outside, but in truth, he was actually a young man forced to hide his identity for his own safety.

The little bun often wondered what would happen if the academy discovered Vaan’s true gender. Would the young ladies surrounding him remain his friends? Or would they feel betrayed because they were sharing their deepest darkest secret to a boy?

"Hello there, Dim Dim," Vaan greeted the little bun that had come close to the outside table where he was sitting with his friends. "Do you want a drink?"

Vaan stood up and offered the fruit juice that had just been delivered to him by the waitress.

Dim Dim drank the juice using the straw and found it to its liking.

"Would you like some too, Daisy?" Vaan inquired.

The Doom Cow shook its head and waited until Dim Dim finished drinking all of the fruit juice in the cup.

The little bun gave a satisfied burp after drinking its fill. It then bid goodbye to Vaan to once again follow the direction the compass was pointing to.

As Dim Dim continued its treasure hunting, it came across Nessia, Lapiz, and Evangeline.

It then continued its journey and came close to the old library.

Since the compass was there, Dim Dim decided to peek at the window to see what was happening inside.

"Wrong answer!"

The sound of someone getting whipped reached its ears, making the little bun’s body shudder because it saw something scary.

"M-Mary, let’s talk about this," Chuck pleaded. "Calm down, okay?"

"Calm down?" Mary smiled as her grip on her whip tightened. "I’m very calm, Chuck."

"No, you’re not!"

"Yes, I am."

"Wait! Let’s arrghhh!"

The little bun covered its eyes as the sound of whipping echoed inside the room. It then peeked a little bit from its stubby hands, but seeing that the situation was hopeless, it decided to make a strategic retreat.

"Mooo?" Daisy asked the little bun who looked as if it had seen something it shouldn’t have seen if it was alright.

"D-Dim!" Dim Dim assured Daisy that it was fine, and there was nothing to worry about.

It then took out its compass to check it one more time.

And saw it pointing towards the Forest Wolf, Rex.

The little bun looked at Rex, then at the compass, then back to Rex again, which made the Forest Wolf tilt its head in confusion.

Then the compass moved to point at Daisy, who lowered its head to lick the side of Dim Dim’s face making it giggle.

It was at that moment when Dim Dim finally realized where the compass was pointing at.

Morax didn’t lie when he said that the compass would lead its owner to the place where their treasure could be found.

Since everyone thought differently, they also had different views when it came to what their own personal treasure was.

For Dim Dim, its treasure was its "Friends."

Ever since it was born in the Celestial Realm, the Loli Goddess, Lily, and Cupid took care of it, treating the little bun as their friend and family.

For Dim Dim, those days were the happiest days of its life, which it treasured very much.

As a newborn God, Dim Dim had the power to create its own world.

And so it did with the help of Lily, Cupid, and the God of Games, Eriol.

The world of Arcana was the manifestation of Dim Dim’s divinity, which greatly weakened it in the process.

Even so, it didn’t regret making this wonderful world where it could play, laugh, cry, and face challenges with them.

All of this would allow the Dim Sum God to gain experience, and better understand what "living" really was.

For a brief moment, Dim Dim felt a little bit of its divine power returning to it after it reached a level of enlightenment.

This was the reason why Lily, and Cupid had asked Dim Dim to live temporarily in Arcana, so that it could regain its powers and grow as an individual.

Dim Dim’s best friends wanted their friend to continue living a happy life.

But not every day was a happy day.

There would be sad days, cloudy days, and rainy days.

As Dim Dim experienced all of this firsthand, it would slowly mature until it became a true God who could make miracles happen.

Though that day was still far, the little bun smiled happily as it jumped back on Daisy’s head, planning to continue their little adventure to find more treasures before returning to the farm, where Fran was waiting for them so that they could share a meal together.
