Chapter 734: A Tragic First Kiss

Astrea hurriedly left the castle grounds, her fingers lightly tracing her lips.

When Astrea accidentally tripped Alex earlier and made them fall down, causing their lips to press against each other, it had truly been an accident.

But the second time definitely wasn’t an accident. She clearly felt something press the back of her head, which made her kiss Alex a second time.

That one wasn’t an accident. Cupid had pulled that mischievous prank.

Astrea felt aggrieved because her first and second kisses were a tragedy.

It wasn’t romantic at all!

Though, since she had already been kissed twice (accidentally), she decided that she wouldn’t lose anything anymore if she kissed Alex a third time.

Of course, she wasn’t planning to give him a deep and passionate kiss under the eyes of countless people.

Because of this, Astrea compromised and gave Alex a quick peck on the lips before leaving the dance hall in haste.

Due to how fast that peck was, she didn’t have a good taste of the kiss, which prompted her to lick her lips.

‘None of those kisses count,’ Astrea thought with a beet-red face. ‘They don’t count. I want a redo!’

She always thought that her first kiss would be special.

The young lady had fantasized countless times that her first kiss would be from a prince charming.

A prince who would come sweep her off of her feet and elope with her while riding on a white horse!

But her first kiss didn’t happen that way!

It was a tragedy!

The young lady didn’t know that after leaving the ballroom, Alex found himself in a pinch.

Cassian “helped” the young man stand up before taking him to the corner of the room with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

Finding this turn of events quite exciting, Aeris hurried to Cassian’s side to observe his interrogation.

As for Alex’s lovers, all of them were certain that what happened earlier really was an accident. They even thought that Astrea was pretty bold for kissing Alex a third time before making her escape.

“Cassian, do you want me to help you toss this guy to prison?” Aeris asked in a teasing tone. “I can make a special exception for you.”

“Thank you, Your Highness,” Cassian replied with a refreshing smile. “I’ll just ask this bastard—errr, Alex a few questions, then you can take him away.”

“W-Wait!” Alex realized that the two weren’t joking so he immediately voiced out his concerns before it was too late. “It was really an accident! I didn’t do anything wrong. Astrea was the one who kissed me out of her own volition twice!”

“Nonsense!” Cassian replied. “My sister is a pure and kind-hearted girl. Sure, she might be a klutz, but why would she kiss someone like… like you?”

“That’s right!” Aeris nodded with her arms crossed over her chest. “Why would she?”

“How should I know?” Alex had a face that was suffering from injustice. “I am the victim here. I was kissed thrice without permission.”

“You sure are something, huh?” Cassian glared. “Tell me honestly. Did you not like my sister kissing you?”

“I-It happened so fast!” Alex answered. “I didn’t even get a proper taste of it. Can we do it again?”

“You bastard, you want me to smack you for real?!” Cassian raised his fist as if to show him that he would really smack him if he said yes.

“Cassian, violence is not the answer,” Aeris seriously muttered. “Torture is far more effective.”

“Can you shut up for a bit, Your Highness?” Alex had a feeling that if the two siscons were left to their own devices, he would really end up in deep trouble.

While the three were arguing, the party that should have ended became lively again. All the ladies were giggling while chatting with each other.

Naturally, their subject was Alex and Astrea, who was now the center of everyone’s attention.

On the other hand, the guys couldn’t help but sigh due to how lucky Alex was. He already had many beautiful lovers, yet he still managed to get kissed three times by the Singing Queen of Frieden Academy.

If they only had half of his luck, they would not have problems having their own lovers right now!

Deep down, Cassian and Aeris both knew that what happened was really an accident.

But since Cassian wanted to defend Astrea’s honor, and Aeris wished to make things difficult for Alex, they didn’t plan on letting him leave without a good nagging.

Because of this, Alex was only able to leave the castle after an hour had passed.

“Are you alright, Alex?” Fran asked.

“No,” Alex replied. “Please heal me with your cuddles later, Fran.”

“O-Okay,” Fran replied, suddenly realizing that she and Alex wouldn’t be going to the same inn as the others.

Instead, they were going to the inn that Evangeline had reserved under Alex’s name.

The same inn where he and Lavinia spent their night together.

Evangeline even made sure to hire a carriage for the two of them, so they didn’t need to walk all the way to their destination.

During the carriage ride, Alex held Fran tightly while the latter sat on his lap.

“I feel healed.” Alex sighed as he cuddled with Fran. “You’re the best, Fran.”

“Y-You’re welcome?” Fran felt flustered because her heart was beating fast inside her chest.

She didn’t know what was going to happen when they finally arrived at the inn. Though, if Alex wanted it, then she would not resist his advances.

Since Evangeline handled everything perfectly, the check-in didn’t have any problems.

Alex and Fran then climbed the stairs that led to their room while walking hand in hand.

When they entered the room, the young lady’s body subconsciously shuddered the moment she heard the door close behind them.

The lock also clicked in place, making her feel like she no longer had anywhere to run.

“Are you nervous?” Alex asked as he hugged Fran from behind.

“Yes.” Fran nodded.

“I understand,” Alex said before lowering his head to kiss Fran’s cheek. “How about we shower first?”

“Okay,” Fran replied.

A moment later, the rustling of clothes spread faintly inside the room as both of them undressed.

Tonight was a special night where Fran would be able to spend some private time with Alex.

Chances like this didn’t come often, so even though she was feeling nervous, she decided to let him take the lead, pulling her towards the bathroom where they would bathe together for the first time in this lifetime.
