It was a rather massive Divine Beast, just good enough for practice.
"{Soul-Devouring Spectral Nightmare Aura Of Decay}!"
I manifested the Aura entirely as I saw black, gold, and red flame-like ethereal power surge from my body, which was quickly tainted almost completely by my chaos element, becoming even stronger, spreading everywhere as countless faces, eyes, jaws, and screaming, shrieking beasts.
"Oh wow, this is pretty unique, huh? Almost eldritch in nature… So this is the power of my first Archdemon Crown ability! Not bad."
There was much more I could do with it, but I focused on my target, amassing the energy and aura into the palm of my right hand and firing a destructive black beam at the creature.
BOOOM!
"Gryyyaaarrggh!"
I made sure to hold back as much as I could, as the monster screamed in agony, suddenly struck by this Aura of Decay, as its entire body gained countless black and purple cursed tattoos resembling butterflies and caterpillars, it instantly grew weaker.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you, let's test this other ability then!" I smiled, quickly unleashing my power once more, as the crown seemed to glow mysteriously.
"{Soul-Devouring Decaying Nightmare Demon}!"
FLAAASH!
The monster roared, the cursed tattoos spreading through its entire body, until the entire multi-headed lava serpent was consumed by the nightmares and darkness, transforming completely into a bigger, meaner, and stronger-looking creature.
Its red scales turned black and gray, its golden eyes were now red, and it gained several additional heads and sharper fangs, with golden horns growing through their heads, it even gained six large arms with sharp claws, and a pair of huge black and red wings made of flames.
"ROOOAAARR!"
The creature flew towards me, overflowing with immense power, I was flabbergasted… this thing wasn't just a Divine Beast anymore, it had been turned into a Cosmic Beast now.
"For how long this creature stays around?" I wondered. "Is it a permanent transformation or dos he dies out later?"
"For now… I believe we should test that," Andromeda said. "But I think it can stay indefinitely, as long as it is feed with Souls or some of the energy you possess, passively."
"Interesting," I nodded. "Alright, I could probably upgrade my entire Swarm with this power then, right? If they all evolve even further into these demonic creatures, their power could raise quickly… I could even make a whole army of them if I include all the billions of living beings inside my Divine Realm. I had never considered them because they're weak after all, but if I can curse them and turn them into these things and then turn a million small fries into overpowered cosmic-level monsters… then even invading whole Realms wouldn't be out of my possibilities now!"
"Invading whole realms?" Andromeda asked. "Master, what are you planning to do?"
"Ah, no, nothing for now, don't worry," I smiled. "But maybe later… there's some places I would like to invade and loot for resources and power to absorb. We only briefly visited the Spiritual Plane, and there's also the Necrotic Plane or the Netherworld, the Ruler of these two Realms had disappeared for a while now. I wonder what they're up to?"
"They were targeting Genesis above all things," explained Astraea. "I believe they're attacking that World right now, master… Though that may perhaps not really be of your interest right now? We've abandoned that place for a long while now."
"Hm, I wouldn't really like if it was conquered though, but I doubt those in that World will let things be so easy," I smiled. "I'll take Genesis for myself later, once I feel confident I can completely take over. For now, I will let them fight and weaken one another in their stupid wars. Then once all sides are weak, I'll reap all the rewards for myself. Sounds nice right? Sometimes the best strategy is actually doing nothing and awaiting the moment to strike."
"I can't say you're not wrong…" nodded Astraea. "Though… Hm."
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Are you worried about Genesis, Astraea? I didn't think you were so attached to it after so long."
"I was born there after all, my creator, the System Master was also born there, creations of the System itself, the Computer-like Entity made by Genesis," Astraea said. "I was mostly detached to the entire world, however, trapped inside of that Divine Realm as various different individuals, through the union of all us brothers was it possible for me, their complete form, to be born."
"And I rescued you from there, yes," I nodded. "After that they tried to take you back a lot… You barely really lived there, Astraea…"
"Hehe, I know," she giggled, caressing Asteria's little face. "I just felt bad, I suppose it's nothing, don't worry."
"…"
I wasn't really caring that much, I felt mostly detached to a world that had mostly wanted me dead all this time but seeing that Astraea cared made me think a little.
Well, maybe I'll do something.
Or not.
Time will tell.
"Come to think of it, where's the System Master at?" Andromeda wondered. "I know our System isn't being worked with him, but he sometimes would come visit Astraea."
"Yeah, I was wondering where father could be?" Astraea asked, she seemed to be missing that jackass.
"Like Aura, Flora and Lucifer, they all entered Frank's world and are acting mostly incognito, gathering information, resources, and growing stronger on their own," I said. "I believe some of them are enjoying the new lives given to them… I haven't contacted them in a few weeks. But I could call them. Do you want me to call him?"
"So Father's… in that world," Astraea nodded. "Um, no… it's fine. I'm glad he's happy there… whatever he's doing, it must be important. I believe he was quite sad."
"Sad? He?!" I wondered.
"Yes… because his creator abandoned him and because Genesis rejected him," Astraea said.
"Wait, what? When did this happen?" I asked.
