There was indeed a lot we needed to talk about, so while we were served all kinds of delicious dishes, I addressed several topics after greeting everyone. Mostly about the other world and those who wanted to come along, as well as what I had gone through there.
"So you're really a young villainous lady now? Hahah! I really need to see this, but I am not really that interested in going to a world full of humans..." Mady laughed, as our children were close to her, eating heartily. They had been growing quite a lot as well. "We've been enjoying the sea of this ever-growing cosmic realm by now. I've also grown kind of... I guess you could say I am growing a little tired of fighting."
"It's understandable," I nodded. "You don't have to fight. Nobody will force you, Mady. Spending time here or with our children is also fine... don't worry."
"The most interesting thing is that you got a father there!" Nephiana said. "H-How does that even work anyway? Don't you feel weirded out, Kireina-sama? If someone suddenly said they were my father out of nowhere, it sure would be strange! Especially because my dad is still around..."
My harpy wife had a good point, and she wasn't wrong about that either. It would be strange if it weren't for the fact I had no father whatsoever. My mother conceived me on her own, after all...
"I never had a father, so it's all new for me," I said. "I decided to play along at first, but it's really something unique... you aren't just placed there. You merge with a parallel version of yourself that was made to exist in that world, with their own memories and everything."
"A parallel version?" Agatheina asked. "How does that even work though? I am quite confused..."
"I haven't completely figured out everything," I said. "But I am fairly sure it's something like... When you enter, the entire world is modified instantly to make it so a parallel you existed there. But if you don't enter, that parallel you never exists. This is why whenever someone enters this world from the outside, things can change tremendously... however, there are also limits. Apparently the Sun God from Abyss cannot go there in his complete form because he's too strong or something..."
"T-The Sun God?!" Rimuru asked. "Wait a second guuu! You didn't say anything about that, masta!"
"Yeah, what was that?! The Sun God got into that world?!" Redgaria asked. "Isn't that the bastard you freed when you stole Abyss' sun?"
"Yes..." I muttered, feeling a little shy at that moment. "Uh... well... hehe, it was my fault."
Most people looked at me with slightly tired expressions. I guess we've been through this for many years now, so they do get a little tired of my antics.
"Well, we did help her get there," Brontes sighed. "It's also our fault..."
"And don't forget that thanks to the giant sun we stole from Abyss, we were able to ascend as high as we are now," Zehe said. "Now most of us are Star Realm."
"Hahah, well, it does align with Kireina's antics to just take stuff she wants," Mady laughed. "Although, over the years, my wife, you've become very soft and emotional. You were so much more ruthless before... Not like I dislike that either. I believe it was only natural for you to become more tender as your family grew."
"Yeah, whenever I think about my past self, I feel fucking disgusted. I definitely regret many things I did... Altani knows that the most," I sighed.
"I do... And I am genuinely happy you've grown past your previous self, regret your decisions, and work to improve and make up for them," Altani smiled at me, as our little boy Emerald sat on her lap while eating. "The victims were already given second chances, and I have actually visited many of them. I've become their guardian deity. Most of them now live far away on a different continent from this one."
"Is that so?" I wondered. "Well, I'm glad your tribe is living happily... I did my best to bring them back and give them all a second chance in a paradise where they could enjoy and live their full lives... something I took away from them ruthlessly, driven by my own early madness. My mind has truly stabilized since then, although I still get a little weird sometimes."
"I guess that's just how you are, masta, but you're a sweet person, and we love you guu," Rimuru said, holding my hand as she sat by my side, kissing my cheeks. "We love you dearly, and no matter your flaws or what you went through, we'll always love you... Mooch, mooch... forever and ever, ok? We all have flaws. We all have weird thoughts sometimes, but in the end, only actions matter! And well, we were all monsters once..."
"I still consider myself a monster," Wagyu said while finishing his plate. "But yes, master and Rimuru are right... Whatever the case, we should go back to the topic at hand. Ah! Kekensha! Welcome back."
Suddenly, a radiant golden and white wolf stepped into the hall. He had big, feathered wings and golden armor covering his body, alongside a long rainbow-colored crystal horn on his forehead.
"Welcome back, Kekensha. It has been a while," I said with a smile. "How are all the wolves doing?"
"Ah! My Queen!" he wagged his tail, quickly lowering his head. "It has been a while, yes! Everyone is alright, so don't worry. We have all recovered and are doing great. Our group is actually ready for another mission if you ever have anything in mind. For now, they spend their time hunting cosmic beasts in outer space and occasionally come back to relax with their families."
"That's nice," I nodded. "No, don't worry. For now, they should do whatever they want, no problem."
"Very well. I had come to the halls to join the dinner and learn what's going on currently outside," Kekensha said. "I hope you don't mind my presence..."
"Of course not, Kekensha. I'm happy to see you," I said. "Sit down. Let's continue our discussion..."
