Epic Of Ice Dragon: Reborn As An Ice Dragon With A System

Chapter 2120: Meeting Between Sisters

Chapter 2120: Meeting Between Sisters

-----

Although Aegir also loved Logi, it seemed she just had a deeper bond with Jord, which probably was because she was her older sister, apparently.

"Big sister! I missed you! Logi missed you too!" Aegir cried, as her tears fell over her sister.

"I cannot believe I’ve lived to see the day you would return to my side! Just what happened?! Were your fragments recovered fully?!" Jord asked. "Your presence is complete...!"

"Yeah, it was thanks to him, to Drake... he found all my fragments, which they were using for bad things, and he fully recovered me!" Aegir nodded. "He did the same for Brother Logi, but he stayed behind in Muspelheim, he got too attached to those people..."

"I see...! I see! Drake...! Drake, thank you so much! You don’t know how happy it makes me to finally see my sister again and know that my brother is alright!" Jord continued crying.

"It’s alright, I’m glad I could help you reunite," I said. "Though it’s not your complete self, we’ll find your other half."

"My other half..." Jord suddenly stopped talking for a moment, as if thinking about something terrible.

Aegir didn’t let her stay like that, however, screaming at her and panicking upon seeing her jewel being covered on cracks and leaking divine energy.

"I’m so happy to see you again, but you’re in terrible conditions, sister! Let me repair you! You almost shattered!" Aegir flew towards her, tending to Jord’s wounds using her divine power.

"I still can’t believe that it’s really you, hahah... Ah right my cracks- No, wait! We need to heal Amethyst! She’s dying!" she said, but quickly noticed I had this covered, and well...

Someone else was coming along, our greatest healer, my dear daughter.

"Don’t worry, I got this!" Benladra descended into the sands, reaching Amethyst and touching her chest with her claws, infusing golden light into her body.

A warm light covered Amethyst, fully healing her completely and even infusing her body with energy and lifeforce. Although my healing might be enough, I wanted Benladra to heal a lot and continuously improve her talents, as they were bound to surpass me.

They already had special effects and abilities, such as being able to destroy curses and such with ease, and even cleanse miasma with ease, things I would need to put more attention and effort into doing for a basic heal.

She does it effortlessly and without even paying much attention, she’s truly blessed to be the strongest healer in this world.

And I need her to keep working hard, and continue improving, because one day, this world itself, Yggdrasil, may need her healing abilities the most.

"I think it’s done, she was quite wounded, but nothing too serious," Benladra said. "If anything she was really exhausted... has she slept or eaten properly lately? She seemed slightly malnourished."

"The only thing she has been eating are bones..." Jord sighed, looking at Amethyst while the cracks in her jewel were healed by Aegir. "She said they’re good for her scales and her jewels, and yeah they are but it is nowhere near enough nutrition..."

"Hmm, what was she even doing here?" I asked, looking at the girl, making her float midair. "We’ll bring her along to my castle so she can rest properly."

"That’s fine... And what were we doing here? Well, Amethyst has been training for the last months, she’s been going from town to town to help out as well, hunting divine monsters and such but lately, she’s been fixated with training and improving herself, locking herself in this area and fighting the undead that appear every night," Jord explained. "But... well, it hasn’t helped her. Her power hasn’t increased as much as she wished."

Maybe if she had the System like I do fighting monsters without end would help but... isn’t she a bit too stupid? Why would she just stay fighting monsters without end for months?

"She’s Rank 10 I see, has she reached her limit?" I asked.

"Indeed, she’s frustrated she cannot get past that barrier now," said Jord. "And the foe we must defeat is someone beyond Rank 10 after all, a Demon King... Umbral."

"Yeah, I don’t know him, but I’ve seen him, I just spoke with him," I said. "Pretty nice guy, isn’t he? That was sarcasm by the way."

"...I know," Jord sighed. "She hates that dragon the most... He... he took her mother away from her."

"What?" Benladra looked back at Amethyst and then at Jord, her eyes filled with surprise. "Her... her mother?"

"Yeah..." Jord sighed.

Aegir looked at the young dragon sleeping soundly.

"Umbral killed her mother..." Jord revealed. "She’s been training this entire time to grow strong enough and defeat him with her own strength. But I’ve been telling her this entire time that the monster she’s trying to fight is beyond her own powers... that she has to find... alternatives, fighting and eating monsters won’t help her grow any stronger anymore."

"That’s not wrong," I nodded. "Has she tried cultivating her Soul?"

"What? No..." Jord muttered. "I had not thought about it..."

"I guess she has stopped talking to her grandmother, huh?" I wondered.

"Yes, she had grown detached from everyone else... I... couldn’t stop her," Jord sighed. "And I must always be with her; I promised her mother that I would raise her and protect her. But now... I failed, I almost got her killed, and..."

"So Umbral is targeting her?" I asked.

"Yeah..." Jord nodded. "He wants to "finish what he started" and kill the mother’s daughter now... and get to me, he is in possession of my other half."

"Wait, there’s no other fragments around?" Aegir asked.

"No, at one point I almost fully recovered but still, two pieces remain, myself and... my other self, the one he corrupted with his Demonic Powers," Jord said. "Have that happened to you, sister? Or Logi?"

"Yeah, there are those with powers that can control our fragments and corrupt them..." Aegir sighed. "Both Logi and I suffered the same thing, but we were able to come back together into one once more... thanks to Drake."

"Leave it to me," I nodded. "For now, I am sure that even you need some rest... Was there some town Amethyst was visiting or staying at? Does she have any friends? Someone we could find to help us out... well, help her?"
