Chapter 2156: Nature Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 2156: Nature Dragon Bloodline
-----
"Drake, they’re coming," Root said. "Before we leave, I want you to have this."
Root extended his wooden claws, giving me a large bottle of golden colored syrup, a large branch glowing with spiritual divinity, wooden scales made of bark as hard as mithril, and lastly, a fragment of a green colored crystal, overflowing with power beyond mere divinity.
"Root, what’s this?!"
"A gift, you are the Dragon King, and you require parts of other dragons to awaken your powers further," Root said. "These are all pieces of my own body... my blood, my flesh, my scales, and a piece of my heart. Use them."
"...Thanks," I felt surprised he went so far. "Wait, a piece of your heart? Is this fine?"
"It is fine, don’t worry," Root said. "Mother Yggdrasil said you needed as much help as possible to grow stronger... so take these. They may help you evolve your Ascendancy Law even further or reach a new stage of growth."
"I see," I nodded. "Certainly, it could... I’ll first drink some of your "blood", or well, your sap I suppose."
I quickly drank half of the bottle, it was sweet and refreshing, and when I finished, I felt a surge of spirit and draconic power within me.
Ding!
[You have consumed a large quantity of Nature Dragon Blood!]
[Your Bloodline: [Nature Dragon (A) (Awakened)] has Ranked Up to S Rank!]
[Your Bloodline: [Nature Dragon (S) (Awakened)] has Ranked Up to SS Rank!]
[Your Bloodline: [Nature Dragon (SS) (Awakened)] has Ranked Up to SSS Rank!]
[Your Bloodline: [Nature Dragon (SSS) (Awakened)] has Evolved into Bloodline: [Yggdrasil Dragon (SSS+) (Awakened)]!]
[Your Elemental Affinity: [Nature (SSS)] has Evolved into the Elemental Affinity: [Yggdrasil (SSS+)]!]
[You have awakened the [Auxiliary Divinity: Yggdrasil’s Spirit Domain (SSS)]!]
[You have awakened the [Main Divinity: Yggdrasil’s Divine Protection (SSS)]!]
[You have awakened the Divine Ability: [Divine Yggdragon’s Claws (SSS)]!]
"Ooh, I feel stronger..."
I ended up gaining more than I imagined, from upgraded bloodlines, elemental affinities, to new divinities and even one new divine ability.
"Good," Root said. "We should get ready for what’s to come..."
"I know," I said. "And I wish I could, but my Ascendancy Law has yet to reach the point I can Rank Up yet, sorry."
"That’s fine, I am sure you will achieve it through what’s coming," Root said. "I can already sense them... There’s three powerful presences."
"Wait, three?!" I asked. "There’s Oberon’s Soul Fragment and Umbral, right? Who’s the third?"
"I cannot tell properly from here," Root said. "We’ll have to face them head-on once they arrive. Be ready for a big battle, although I don’t think Oberon is their ally, we could use that to our advantage."
"Hm, certainly," I nodded.
Root wasn’t wrong though, these materials will be very useful for my Ascendancy Law’s growth, I can already feel them somewhat resonating with mine. Is this what Yggdrasil wanted? To give me a piece of her son to grow even further? Perhaps by doing so, my Ascendancy Law will also carry a part of her.
But for now, I must focus on that battle, perhaps by fighting I’ll get the needed amount of power... maybe by eating whatever I’ll fight. Perhaps this time I can fully devour a soul fragment from Oberon instead of just destroying them.
"How do you feel, Amethyst?"
I walked to her side while everyone else was getting ready, the dragon was sitting over a grassy hill, looking like she was meditating.
"I’m ready."
"I see... About the Archetype, I think I know what’s going on."
"What? I’m not going to kiss you or something to increase it!"
"I would never ask you to do that..."
I sighed, as I quickly explained to her what I thought may be happening to her.
"Amethyst, your inner fears are what’s holding you back, once you confront Umbral, you will have to face your greatest fear," I explained. "And in that moment... if you can overcome it, maybe... just maybe... it’ll happen."
"Hmph, whatever," she shrugged. "I don’t need that power anyway, I’ve trained plentifully! My soul and my body are stronger than ever before... And I’ve got Jord with her new and upgraded abilities. We’ve never been more ready, right Jord?"
"Indeed," Jord nodded. "But even then, consider Drake’s words, and keep them in mind, okay Amethyst?"
"Ugh... fine," Amethyst rolled her eyes.
"They’re here," Root’s voice said. "We must go, now."
"Very well," I nodded. "Amethyst... let’s go. Today, you will avenge your mother."𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"..." Amethyst nodded, standing up and looking at the Dimensional Gate I created in front of everyone.
"Let’s move! Today we will fight Oberon’s soul fragment, Umbral, a Demon King, and... a mysterious individual. We’ll stay together and strategize as we fight, don’t make rash or reckless decisions!" I roared, commanding everyone.
Everyone that was an active fighter was brought along. I didn’t call Surtr or Emerald, as I knew they were busy, and I think we should be able to handle this just fine for now.
And to be honest, I had yet to even tap into my full power, so I don’t even know how far I can go... this will be the perfect time to use all these amazing training dummies!
FLAAASH!
The Dimensional Gate opened, as we stepped through it, reaching the outside world, standing right above the underground shelter where Alma, her family, and all those refugees were living a day ago.
And in that moment, three powerful divine and demonic presences surged, my eyes widening as I looked at three different directions at once.
To the east there was an army of golems, made of hard stone, crystals, and ores, piloted by dwarves, and led by a gigantic golem of two hundred meters, similar to the rest, but even larger, with various bulky arms carrying hammers.
Inside, there he was.
"Oberon..."
Or rather, as he likes to call this soul fragment, "Stone". My eyes could see through all things, and he was a dwarf indeed, with clear brown skin, a long gray beard, and glowing golden eyes.
He had a proud, and almost cocky smile with furrowing eyebrows, he looked rather old too.
His aim was to the people down here, and he probably had nothing to do with Umbral and his new friend.
And yes, Umbral too.
To the north, he was there, flying towards us, and with him, he carried forth a giant black cloud that darkened the skies.
He was a pretty damn big dragon, a pure-blooded Dark Dragon, with glowing red eyes, sharp horns across his head, and a bulky, incredibly large and muscular body.
His wings were enormous, shrouded in shadows, with sharp claws and even sharper fangs.
His Aura was a blend of Divine Dragon Power, Demonic Energy, and... something else.
Curses from Zipangu.
