A guttural cry tore from Ruby’s throat as she stirred, her body trembling with pain. She shook her head, forcing herself back to consciousness. In the haze of her awakening, her mother’s voice echoed gently in her mind, urging her to stay calm. This new form was larger than before, her mother warned, and it was vital that she remain composed.

Ruby groaned, her voice broken and strained. She called out for her mother, her words fragmented by grief. Augustus had died because of her. The weight of guilt crushed her, and tears welled in her enormous eyes as sorrow overwhelmed her.

High above, Hrimvaldr spotted the towering figure and flew to her side, his expression filled with disbelief. He called out, asking if it was truly her.

Ruby confirmed it was. Her voice was slow and heavy, burdened by the strain of her transformation. This form was powerful, she admitted, but it came at a cost. Her mind ached under the pressure, and she knew she couldn’t maintain it for long. Still, there was no time to waste. They had to defeat the Venerable and save the people.

Hrimvaldr nodded, his resolve strengthening. He assured her that he remained by her side. Somehow, in her presence, his powers continued to grow. Perhaps it was because she now carried the Ancestor’s abilities.

Ruby wasn’t certain. The truth eluded her.

But Hrimvaldr didn’t hesitate. With a cry of determination, he surged forward.

Hrimvaldr overflowed with power, his body rapidly growing larger and more muscular, his scales regrowing and hardening into tough black, red, and azure armor as a golden spark within him glowed brighter.

"Brother?!"

His eyes widened for a moment as he felt the golden power of the Dragon King flowing within him. What he believed to be a temporary transformation, a shared power from Drake, was now much more.

It permanently resided within his body and soul, and its golden spark seemed to grow brighter the more he unleashed his power.

"Whatever you’ve become, I’ll end you."

FLAAASH!

Deus emerged amid the castle’s rooms, his aura radiating sunrays as he raised his hands, manifesting two gigantic suns and launching them at Ruby and Hrimvaldr.

"{Heavenly Celestial Sun}!"

RUMBLE!

As the stars moved, their motion created ripples through space, possessing immense gravitational force and mass.

"Ruby! We have to run quickly!"

"No... Fuyu and the rest... behind!"

"Ah, right! Damn it!"

"We rush together... Hrimvaldr!"

"Fine!"

"HAAAAHHH!"

"RAAAAAHHH!"

Both roared, powering up one last time, releasing all the strength within them and enveloping themselves in that power, then rushing straight at the suns.

"You’re not even trying to evade? Hahahaha! You utter fools! You cannot hope to break through my attack on your own! Perhaps when that Dragon King was with you, but you two alone? Don’t make me laugh!"

RUMBLE!

As Deus laughed, he pushed the two suns forward, forcing Ruby and Hrimvaldr to push back with their Auras, which began to combine into a giant flame of crimson, azure, and black energies.

Hrimvaldr felt his claws burning before the sun’s plasma, but he quickly regenerated them, pushing himself further, drawing additional energy from the Vampire Dragon Realm of the Draconic Records.

"Nnngggh...! Brother! Your spark...! I must...! Wield it!"

His soul transformed into a dragon claw, grasping the flickering golden spark as its powers coursed through his entire body.

FLUOSH!

His black, red, and blue scales suddenly turned golden, glowing brightly. Large horns of rainbow crystals grew over his head, and a crown of golden light manifested above him.

This was the Golden Dragon King form that everyone had temporarily taken when Drake empowered them to combine their strength against the Venerables.

"RAAAAAHHHHH!"

Hrimvaldr roared, opening his jaws and unleashing a titanic breath attack, a spiral of countless colors and lasers piercing through the sun he was trying to stop, reaching the Venerable and striking him in the face.

"What the— NGAAHH?!"

BOOOM!

As Deus reeled from the pain, dazed for a few seconds, Ruby unleashed all her power, combining and condensing it into her claws, pushing back the sun and kicking it toward Deus, corrupting it with her cursed miasma.

Both suns exploded at point-blank range, sending their creator flying with a massive explosion, his body battered with wounds, burned, and bleeding profusely.

BOOOMMM!

"This cannot be happening! They’re only two! Two nobodies!"

Deus roared in anger, seizing Mjolnir and Gungnir and charging toward them, his aura struggling to heal his wounds but failing to do so fully.

The cursed miasma Ruby wielded prevented his regeneration from restoring him to full condition, keeping him slightly weakened as he accumulated damage.

He rushed down after appearing above them at lightning speed. The divine hammer grew to a titanic size, over a hundred meters, crashing down and striking both foes at once as a massive thunderbolt explosion erupted, electrocuting their bodies.

Hrimvaldr and Ruby screamed in agony, vomiting blood as their bodies were scorched alive. Hrimvaldr flickered between his Golden Dragon King form and his base form, but he pushed through the pain, the lightning coursing through his body now manipulated by his sheer willpower.

He refined the lightning with his divine power and Drake’s golden spark, amassing it in his left hand, manifesting a weapon from his own blood, frozen into a sword of crimson ice and divine gold.

"{Divine Soul Weapon Manifestation: Tyrfing}!"

"He refined the divine thunder of Thor himself?!"

Deus’ face shifted from an overconfident smirk to utter disbelief. The golden sword swung upward, unleashing a massive slicing wave of golden light, striking Deus head-on and pushing him back with a tremendous explosion of concentrated elements.

"Ruby! Now!"

"RAAAAAHHH!"

Ruby roared as she nodded, rushing upward with Hrimvaldr, striking Deus with their weapons and claws, pushing him higher and breaking through thousands of rooms as millions of pieces of rubble fell.

"UUUAAAAGGGHH! BASTARDS! YOU FILTHY MONGRELS! WHO...! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU’RE TOUCHING WITH YOUR NASTY HANDS?!"
