Yuki quickly spread her Ice Phoenix wings and flew toward the ceiling, but the Yokai leaped after her. Some resembling crows swiftly pursued.

"Ugh, damn it! Okay Yudra, stay tight and- Huh?! You’re still drinking milk like nothing?!"

Yuki was surprised her daughter remained calmly drinking milk. Children often entered a trance when drinking milk, slipping into pseudo sleep, unbothered by the world around them.

"{Freezing Star Shower}!"

Yuki swung her hands down. Miniature stars made of ice fell, showering the Yokai Soldiers and bombarding them with explosions of blue flames and ice, freezing and burning them.

"Huh?! W-What is that?!"

"Why is she so strong?!"

"B-But they told us she was the weakest!"

"Weakest?! Don’t be an idiot! Hmph, I am the strongest!" Yuki said confidently. She manifested a gigantic sphere of freezing blue flames and ice, launching it down. "Eat shit!"

Indeed, though she had a different previous life, Yuki was still Yuki. No memories of some past self would change her snarky attitude or how she liked to mock enemies.

The monster roared furiously, swinging gigantic fists at Yuki. She was shocked but avoided the blows swiftly with her feathered wings.

The power of the Ice Phoenix echoed within her. Though she could not manifest outside, she could combine with it, transforming her body partially.

She gained more azure feathers. Her hands and legs became golden scaled sharp bird talons, and her ears turned into little wings with blue feathers.

As she performed Spirit Fusion, Yuki overflowed with power. She rushed down, kicking, punching, and slashing the beast at lightning speed, all while carrying her daughter attached to her belly.

"HYAAAA!"

"{Ice Phoenix’s Soul-Tearing Talons}!"

The slashing attacks accumulated immense damage across the giant. His body gained massive wounds, bleeding and groaning in pain.

Yuki targeted his ankles, slicing them with her sharp talons, kicking and cutting over and over.

The giant fused Yokai screamed in agony. Unable to stand it, it collapsed into dozens of Yokai Soldiers, who looked at Yuki in horror.

"You follow a leader who only uses you as tools! You have no agency, no freedom, no fate of your own! Why follow a man like him?!" Yuki confronted them angrily. A bit of Amaterasu’s personality surged in her speech. "The hell is wrong with you fuckers?!" She immediately reverted to Yuki.

"A-And who do you expect us to follow?!"

"We are merely soldiers from Zipangu. We fight for our families...!"

"Nobunaga-sama gave us this opportunity, to die for our world...!"

"He’s the strongest man alive. What else can we do? It’s either dying now or dying by his hands and risking our families!"

"So Nobunaga turned your world into some horrible dystopian future shit or what?" Yuki raised an eyebrow.

"We’ve heard that in the past the gods created a beautiful Eden..."

"But after Nobunaga-sama and Susanoo-sama took over..."

"Every day for mortals has become a living hell..."

"I see..." Yuki sighed. She didn’t want to, but she felt bad. Deep down, she felt Zipangu was still her responsibility. But she knew it couldn’t be anymore.

"Mama?" Yudra slowly woke, stopping her mama’s milk. She felt better, then burped a little. "Buuh..."

"There, there," Yuki patted her back, sighing.

The soldiers glanced at her motherly grace, feeling slightly bad about what they were doing. Even though most were fervent fanatics, many were just farmers forced into this.

Yuki knew this but showed no mercy. She killed many and felt no remorse for slaying those after her and her daughter’s lives. Now, with the opportunity, she wanted to see if something could be done.

"I have slain many of your men, perhaps some were your brothers or friends," Yuki said. "But... I am not the kind of person who enjoys killing, you know? So... My husband and all the dragons will fight back. We’re going to kill Oda Nobunaga, and Zipangu will be freed from him."

Yuki spread her hands forward, feeling Yudra’s Aura encompass her body.

For some reason, her daughter catalyzed Yuki unleashing her original powers from her past life, as if she were the missing piece.

The Yokai Soldiers gasped. Their bodies returned to normal human forms. Some began crying in happiness, thinking they would remain mutated forever. The curse in their bodies disappeared.

"Y-You freed us from the curse?!"

"It can’t be..."

"Nobody can destroy the curse. That’s why it’s so strong...!"

"Just who... who are you?!"

"That Aura... Don’t you think it’s from somewhere?"

One soldier noticed Yuki’s Aura from the powerful Divine Spell. It resembled a big red sun with red sunrays, emerging from a blazing yellow and orange aura around her and her daughter.

"I have only seen that on statues of Amaterasu-sama..."

"But she’s long gone, isn’t she?"

"I wasn’t even born when she was alive..."

"T-This can’t be... it must be a coincidence?"

Yuki considered telling them the truth about who she was but decided it would confuse them. She would have to explain too much.
