Black clouds appeared above the Dracosea Captain, as mad oceans manifested around the titan, spreading tsunamis everywhere, raging water and thunder merged into the anchor, as it rushed down with a thunderous, explosive shockwave.

CRAAASH!

"NGAAAAAHHHH!"

Maeda screamed, his head was struck down, as he agonized, vomiting blood and feeling his bones breaking. His claws rushed upward, attacking the anchor and spreading cracks through it, shattering it!

Crack, crack...!

CRASH!

However, as the anchor shattered, the titan used his shield, slamming Maeda down and then quickly summoning a new weapon, Tisha and Nadia’s weapons merging together through Augustus’ powers.

The Divine Frost Blade and the Divine Fire Axe became a huge hammer of both frost and fire, rushing down and crushing Maeda’s head and body, covering him on several powerful blows, mercilessly crushing his body.

"N-NOOO...! NOT YET...! NOBUNAGA-SAMAAAAAA!"

Maeda stood up against all odds, his body becoming more monstrous, his fur turning spikier and black and his eyes completely red, as he suddenly gained a second wind, charging towards the Dracosea Captain and slamming it down, destroying its legs and making the titan fall.

CRAAASH!

"D-Damn it! He destroyed the legs!" Charlotte complained. "We have to grow them back!"

"We’re running low on energy! Everyone is also completely spent!" Fuyu cried. "What I can draw from Drake is not infinite either and we need the divine power of everyone else, giving only my own won’t keep the fusion!"

"I understand! We have to finish this quickly! T-The hammer!" Charlotte grabbed the hammer through the Dracosea Captain’s hands, swinging it towards Maeda’s head, blowing him to the side.

CLAAANK!

"AAGH!"

They saw the giant boar groaning in pain, bleeding all over, gasping for air, and yet, even as he was dying, he charged forward, fueled by the desire to protect his master and fulfill his promise at all cost.

"I MUST...! DEFEAT YOU! I HAVE TO DEFEAT YOUUUUU! EVEN IF MY LIFE...! EVEN IF MUST FORFEIT MY LIFE!"

"He’s fucking nuts!" Nadia said.

"I have to admit it, he’s an incredible warrior and his loyalty is unbreakable...!" Rakasha said. "However... we cannot lose either!"

"T-The nanobots, right!" Kraxka said.

"Let’s use them!" Larzak said.

"Yeah!" Hector nodded.

Suddenly, the trio’s nanobots spread out into the entire machine created by the Soul Unification, repairing large cracks and giving it a new pair of temporary legs, as the titan stood up, clashing against Maeda.

CRAAASH!

An explosion of lightning erupted from their weapons clashing, the giant anchor was lifted, and then fell over his head, followed by the blazing frost hammer slamming Maeda’s head from the left side, a double blow.

CLAAANK! CLAAANK!

"GAAAHHAA...?!"

Maeda cried blood and felt his head spinning... he was at his last moments, and yet some sort of demon possessed him, as he kept fighting, roaring, without end.

"RAAAAHHHH!"

"Damn it, this is getting us nowhere! We’ll end up dying before he does at this rate!" Augustus said. "I hate to say it, but we must destroy his soul, it’s the only way for this bastard to fall quick enough!"

"Then let’s do it! I don’t care!" Charlotte roared. "Combine the weapons into one, something long and sharp, a spear just like his!"

"Good idea, and I am amazing with those!" Hector’s knowledge and energy spread through the Dracosea Captain, as their weapons fused into a long golden spear with a rainbow crystal blade.

"{Thunderous Sea: Soul-Piercing Lightning Spear}!"

Thunderous oceans manifested around the titan once more, a sort of pseudo Dominion that powered them up even further, Augustus’ powers manifesting the spear into reality, as it struck Maeda right as the giant boar was about to strike them again with a powerful charge attack.

"HAAAAAHHH!"

All of Fuyu’s crew roared, as their captain led their attack, the spear piercing Maeda’s chest and, using the speed of his own charge, allowing it to reach deep into his own chest, and then, his soul!

CRAAASH!

"G-GAAAHHH?!"

Maeda stopped charging, falling to his knees as the spear impaled his chest, blood dripping from his wound, as his breath became heavier and jagged.

"A-Ahhh... Haaa... My lord... I have... Haaahhh... I...!"

He dropped to the floor, his eyes closing as his life finally ended, his soul gained a large series of cracks, but it didn’t blow up completely, being spared at the last moment.

The holy light coming from Hector’s powers covered the soul, letting it fly away into the Afterlife despite its wounds.

"That Oda Nobunaga really brainwashed that guy..." Tisha sighed. "To think he would go so far for such a piece of shit..."

"..." Charlotte remained in silence, glancing the soul disappear. "Whatever... it’s done."

"I doubt he was brainwashed..." Rakasha said. "I don’t even know the guy but... seeing how strong and loyal he was, that man, Oda Nobunaga, must have been someone great for him, someone that did something important, something that inspired him and saved him in his greatest moment of despair."

"How can you guess that?" Jamar wondered.

"Well... I once felt the same, until Ruby arrived, and then Drake saved us both..." Rakasha smiled lightly. "I have that same fervor for Drake, my undying loyalty... I would die for him, fighting for his cause. That’s why... Let’s not insult him, he was... a good warrior."

"Yes, I feel the same..." Kraxka nodded. "He was a good warrior."

"Hm," Larzak nodded while closing his eyes.

"Haaa... I suppose so," Hector sighed in relief, smiling lightly.

"..." Charlotte noticed the huge cannon left behind, Maeda’s spear was made of cursed energy, so it disappeared with him, but the cannon remained. "Let’s take this."

The girl grabbed the cannon, as it absorbed the powers of the Dracosea Captain, attaching itself to its wounded left arm, gaining a new upgrade.

"Oh, nice... I guess we can honor him by carrying his weapon," Charlotte smiled.

"It’s nice," Rakasha said.

"Ahem! I know it’s a moving moment and all, but we have to get moving!!!" Augustus roared angrily. "Let’s go help everyone else! That Mitsuhide guy is even stronger than Maeda! And that’s without considering the goddess helping him!"

"You’re right... let’s move!" Charlotte said as the titan began to move forward.

Thanks to the level ups they got from defeating Maeda, everyone’s divine energies were recharged, giving them a second wind, and becoming capable of keeping on this form for much longer.
