Epic Of Ice Dragon: Reborn As An Ice Dragon With A System

Chapter 2445: The Titan Family

Chapter 2445: The Titan Family

-----

The next day dawned after we had slept deeply following the grand feast. It truly was the greatest meal I had ever prepared and savored, and that divine sake from Zipangu hit me hard—I slept like a log. The rocky floor of Helheim was far from comfortable, though, but my tough body barely noticed.

When I finally stirred awake, I found myself surrounded by my family. The children were already wide awake, playfully chasing small bone beasts that had curiously wandered close. A few zombie creatures munched on leftovers, and some lingering souls continued purifying themselves through the bliss of the food I had made.

And Hel? She remained sound asleep, clinging tightly to my entire body without letting go. For someone so ancient, she was surprisingly affectionate, and it only made her more endearing.

Oh man...

It had been such a long journey, but this felt like the end, didn't it?

The adventure that began as exploration of this world—and a quest to confront the one who caused us so much pain—had finally concluded. We found Oberon, defeated him, and even slew Loki, his true identity.

Honestly, even I was stunned to learn Oberon was Loki all along. Though I vaguely recalled Deus hinting he wasn't what he seemed. The guy was always cryptic, so the details escaped me now.

There was so much to process. Yggdrasil's true origins, Loki's revelations, the creation of Oblivion and how it changed everything—including souls—and the Crimson Queen as an Antibody sent to eradicate Humanity's Legacy before it could destroy the Universe.

I would investigate that later. From the knowledge within Yggdrasil, I glimpsed some truths, but I needed to consult someone else soon. Even the Dragon Mothers, Ymir, and Tiamat hadn't fully understood it. The Ancient Gods like Thor and Baldr had known more, but they perished with Loki.

I couldn't ignore it entirely, so a quiet worry lingered. Yet at the same time, I craved a long vacation.

A few thousand years of peace wouldn't hurt—time to relax, slowly heal the world, help people rebuild bonds, and move past the scars.

First, though, I desperately needed to seal those massive cracks in Helheim's ceiling. Sunlight pouring in was scorching the souls and undead. There was also the enormous ocean rift from Oberon's vortex, water still cascading through. And Yggdrasil's roots sprawled everywhere—I had to clear them before anyone got lost in her Realm.

Then there was mastering the power of Fantasy. It was far more complex than my Laws, which I had grasped in just two years. In the wrong hands, it could end the world.

Again...

"For now, time to wake everyone. Let's head back to the surface."

I stood quickly, surveying our surroundings. My wives stirred, slowly opening their eyes—Benladann, Miranda, Yuki, Andromeda, and finally Hel.

"Ugh, what happened? Did I really fall asleep on the floor?!" Yuki groaned.

"Ouch, my back... This stone isn't kind to my body," Benladann sighed.

"I want breakfast..." Miranda yawned. "Wait! We're still here?!"

"Hmm... Drake? Ah... Yes..." Hel blinked, looking dazed. "I think I need to relieve myself. Excuse me for a moment..."

She shifted into her gigantic dragon form and stepped away briefly.

"No, no, no! Wait! Not in front of us!" Yuki rushed to stop her before anything unforgivable happened.

"Huh?" Hel tilted her massive head, genuinely puzzled. "What's wrong? We're family, aren't we?"

"That's not how we do things in this family!" Yuki exclaimed. "Use a bathroom! Shift back and find one!"

"O-Okay... I've never used one," Hel admitted softly.

"It's alright," I sighed. "Yuki, remember Hel has lived her whole life as a wild dragon in nature. They don't have bathrooms..."

"I know... Ugh, sorry," Yuki muttered.

"You can go inside my Divine Realm. There's plenty of vast wilderness for you, Hel," I offered.

"Thank you, dear...!" Hel hurried through a portal I opened.

I swiftly severed my connection to give her complete privacy. She returned soon, looking refreshed.

"It's the first time in thousands of years I've eaten so much. My whole digestive system woke up suddenly," Hel sighed with relief. "I'm so sorry. Was that embarrassing or rude? I'll do my best to adapt to your ways..."

"It's fine, dear. Don't worry," I reassured her gently. "Did you wash up like I mentioned?"

"Yes... There was a huge lake. I bathed there," Hel smiled brightly. "It felt wonderful...!"

"Well done," I nodded, patting her leg. "We usually use proper bathrooms. I'll show you how everything works later."

"I'm looking forward to it," Hel said warmly.

"That was certainly a unique wake-up..." Andromeda smiled, chuckling softly. "Ah, Kate? Where are you?"

"Right! Where's Drakda?!" Miranda asked.

"Benladra?!" Benladann called.

"Yudra?! YUDRA!" Yuki panicked.

"Calm down. They're not far," I said. "Kids, come here."

A portal opened before us, gently pulling our children to our side.

I had used that Unique Skill I developed long ago—the one that summoned dragons. It worked effortlessly now, anywhere I wished within Yggdrasil's bounds. Its range covered the entire world, though nothing beyond.

Many of my powers, like that Reality Manipulation Aura, were tied to this world's laws. Here, I was truly invincible.

If an outsider threat ever came, I could simply invite them in.

"There you are young man! Where have you been?!" Miranda scolded Drakda.

"I was catching big bone beasts! Look at this huge bone!" Drakda proudly dragged an enormous bone over. "Isn't it awesome? We can chew it forever!"

"Um, Drakda? That bone..." Hel murmured, recognizing it. "It's from a Titan..."

"Is it?!" Drakda beamed. "Cool!"

"A Titan?!" Miranda gasped. "How? I thought only their souls remained..."

"Yes, but many are buried beneath Helheim. They form this world's foundations," Hel explained. "That includes Ymir and Tiamat. Deep below, their bones still support everything as pillars."

"No way..." Benladann whispered in awe.

"Drakda, return that bone. It's sacred!" Miranda said firmly.

"Nuh-uh! I found it, so it's mine!" Drakda laughed, dashing off with his prize.

"Come back here, you little rascal!" Miranda chased him. "Ugh! Why are you so fast? A pregnant woman like me shouldn't be running like this..."

"Drakda, that's enough." I appeared in front of him. He bumped into me harmlessly, and I didn't budge. "Young man, hand over the bone."

"I don't wanna!" Drakda whined, but I gently took it.

"My boneeee! Waaahhh!" Drakda burst into tears. "Give it back, Daddy! It's mineeee!"

"I'm sorry about this, Hel," I said. "It was disrespectful. I hope no Titan noticed."

"Oh, we definitely noticed."

A familiar voice rang out behind me, accompanied by a chilling aura that sharply dropped the temperature.

It was the Ice Queen.

Skadi, Surtr, and Vilive stood with her—and all the other Titans.

Damn it!

"I'm so sorry!" I apologized quickly. "My boy is young and didn't know!"

"Hahahaha! Relax, Drake. We're not angry," Surtr boomed.

"As you said, he's just a child," Skadi smiled warmly.

"Ooh, that's Father's finger bone? Impressive he dug it up!" Vilive said, taking it in his massive hands. "I'll place it in the Titan Records. It would make a fine shrine. It still carries Father's presence—I've missed it."

"A-Are you sure? Shouldn't we return it?" Surtr asked.

"Father was always relaxed about such things. He wouldn't mind," Vilive replied. "He used parts of himself to create us, after all."

"You're right..." Skadi nodded. "But I should keep it. It's only fair as Father's favorite."

"What?! I'm his favorite!" Surtr growled. "That bone would look perfect in my Realm!"

"You're not stronger than me!" Skadi shot back.

"Hah?! Want to test that?" Surtr roared.

The fire and ice siblings lunged at each other, tugging hair and horns, both yelping in pain.

"Come on, stop making a scene in front of the dragons!" Vilive sighed. "Sorry about this. Even after all these years, these two never change."

"That's what makes them so endearing," I laughed. "Good to see you, Vilive. Last time I spoke with your siblings, you weren't there."

"Yes, bad timing—I arrived just after you left! But now I'm here," Vilive said. "What a feast yesterday. I never thought anyone could satisfy my endless hunger! You're incredible, Drake. Father would have loved sharing drinks and stories with you."

"I would have enjoyed that too," I nodded sincerely. "We're heading to the surface now... Oh, what about Fenrir and Jormungandr? I haven't heard from them."

"They vanished when Loki died. They were merely souls bound to him. Now they're free, wherever they've gone. A pity," Vilive said. "We can't join you—we're dead, after all. We'll return to the Titan Records. But visit anytime! You'd be welcome. Wait, can you even enter?"

"After my ascension, my non-dragon bloodlines burned away," I sighed. "I'm no longer part Titan."

"That's fine," Vilive smiled. "With the power of Fantasy, you can enter whenever you wish."

"Can I?" I wondered.

I focused on the Titan Records and opened a portal.

FLUOSH!

"No way! It works!"

Three portals appeared—one for each Realm of Ice, Fire, and Stone.

"See? Easy," Vilive laughed. "Anyway, farewell! Come on, you two—stop the commotion..."

Vilive hauled his bickering siblings away as the Titans followed, many waving gratefully for the feast and drinks they hadn't enjoyed in ages.

Yet among them, a few were alive. I noticed a tall Fire Titan woman with long blonde hair in pigtails, wielding a jeweled wooden wand. Beside her stood a scarred, burly Ice Titan draped in the pelt of a three-headed divine beast. And a young Mountain Titan girl with flowing black hair and glowing yellow eyes, dressed in crystalline robes and carrying a massive hammer.

The Titan family endured, even if only a handful remained. I should visit them someday, letting my family meet them. Perhaps I could even help preserve their bloodline somehow, maybe by doing some matchmaking or whatnot.

But that could wait for another time.
