Chapter 1103: Speed Running Life events (iii) || Rize

Rudy entered the kitchen, his expression shifting to one of concern as he rushed to Alice. He glanced at George's remains, his voice filled with urgency. "Alice, are you okay?"

Alice's eyes were filled with tears, her expression a mix of shock and grief. She looked at Rudy, her voice trembling slightly. "He told me everything, Rudy. Everything."

Rudy's expression softened, his voice filled with warmth and comfort. "If that's true, then you shouldn't waste your tears on someone like him," he said, gently wiping her tears away with his thumb. His touch was soft, his eyes filled with a mix of sadness and determination.

Alice's voice was filled with sadness. "I only had my father, but now I don't have anyone."

Rudy's gaze was steady, his voice filled with determination. "I'm here for you, Alice. I will always be there for you. You should live with me now, and I'll explain everything to my mother."

Alice nodded, her expression a mix of gratitude and relief. Rudy and Alice left for school, Alice still silent and sad. Rudy didn't bother her, knowing she needed time to process everything. He walked beside her, his presence a silent support, his hand occasionally brushing against hers.

The classes began, and Rudy was only waiting for one thing—Rize's lecture. Eric hadn't come to school, so his seat was empty. Janet was sitting in the seat in front of Rudy's. He wanted to talk to her, but there was nothing to say, and he didn't want to do anything that could make Alice feel worse, who was sitting beside him. He glanced at her occasionally to make sure she wasn't crying.

Rize's lecture arrived, and Rudy spent it staring at Rize instead of focusing on the lecture. Even though Rize had already caught him staring at her and smiling at her a few times, he didn't stop. His eyes were filled with a mix of admiration and longing, and… lust.

Once the lecture ended, Rize turned to Rudy and said,, "Rudy, come to my office once the school hours ends."

Rudy nodded, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Time passed, and the lunch break came. Rudy spent it eating with Janet and Alice. Alice now seemed in a better mood than before, but she still wasn't saying much. She picked at her food, her eyes occasionally meeting Rudy's, smiling.

The break ended, and the classes began once again. And they ended too. Rudy went to Rize's office to meet her and knocked on her door.

"Come inside," Rize's voice came from inside, inviting him in.

Rudy smiled, his voice filled with a hint of mischief. "Don't mind if I do," he said, stepping into the office.

Rize's face flushed slightly as she realized the double meaning behind his words. She glared at him and said, "Close the door and sit."

Rudy closed the door and sat on the chair in front of Rize.

"Why did you call me here, Rize?" Rudy asked with a smile.

Rize squinted her eyes and hissed, "I am your teacher. Don't call me by my name!"

"Come, we already talked about this. Let's not waste our precious time like this and talk about something important that matters."

"Oh?" Rize raised her brow. "Like?"

Rudy's expression softened, his voice filled with warmth. "I mean that I've been feeling something for you, Rize. Something that I can't ignore anymore."

Rize's eyes widened in surprise, her voice barely above a whisper. "Rudy, I..."

Rudy's gaze was unwavering, his voice filled with resolve. "I know this might be sudden, Rize. But I can't keep my feelings hidden anymore. I want to be with you, to explore what's between us. And I know you feel the same so don't you even dare try denying it. Otherwise, I won't bring this up again and talk to you, like never."

Rize's expression turned thoughtful, her voice tinged with a mix of hesitation and hope. "Rudy, I... I feel the same way. But we need to be careful. There are rules, boundaries we can't cross."

"I understand, Rize. But I also know that what we feel is real. And I'm willing to face whatever consequences come our way."

Rize's eyes filled with tears, her voice trembling slightly. "Rudy, I... I want to be with you too. But we need to think about this carefully. We can't rush into anything."

Rudy's gaze was steady, his voice filled with understanding. "I know, Rize. And I'm willing to wait, to do whatever it takes to make this work. But I need you to know that my feelings for you are real, and I'm not going to give up on us."

"Thank you, Rudy. For understanding, for being patient. I... I will let you know when I am finally up for the commitment."

Rudy stepped out of Rize's office, his thoughts focused on the conversation they'd just had. He spotted Janet and Alice waiting for him at the school's gate, their faces showing a mix of curiosity and concern.

As they walked together, Rudy turned to Alice. "Alice, are you coming with me to my house to stay there?"

Alice nodded, her eyes reflecting a sense of gratitude. "I want to come, but I'll have to grab my stuff from my house."

Rudy looked at her, understanding her situation. "I'll come with you and help you move."

But Alice shook her head, her expression firm. "Janet has agreed to help me, and she's coming with me to my house."

Rudy didn't want to push the issue, so he let the girls handle it and went to his house.

He thought he would finally have a chance to talk with Rebecca, but she wasn't there. She had gone to her shift, and Jessica had gone to work as it was her last day there.

Rudy found himself alone at the house, feeling a sense of boredom. He didn't know what to do, so he decided to take a nice bath. The warm water helped him relax, washing away the tension of the day.

After his bath, he left the house to search for his beloved wife—Elena.
