Chapter 3107 Sword and Spear Intents
Chapter 3107 Sword and Spear Intents
Understanding his basic Sword Intent was the most difficult part for Alex since his other two Sword Intents were much clearer.
His Intent for Sword Aura was to keep moving forward no matter what. Utilizing it caused his sword attacks to continue attacking their target until they were all destroyed. Since he had accidentally learned Sword Aura without learning Sword Qi properly first, his Sword Qi also carried the same Sword Intent to a certain extent.
His Sword Domain contained an Intent based on the technique he had created-the Endless Severing Strike. This Intent caused the attacks done by his Sword Domain-the Sword Qi that appeared around him-to be impossibly thin and yet incredibly strong and sharp.
The size and shape of the Sword Qi in the domain weren't necessarily relevant to the Intent itself. It was the fact that his sword would
endlessly sever through things he wished to.
Given how different they were from each other, merging the three into a single Sword Intent while keeping the individuality of each was a difficult task. And yet, that was Alex's next task.
He needed to create a sword that would be his true Intent-a sword meant to be used as a tool to protect those he cared for and harm those he wished to, a sword that would not stop until it could no longer move, and a sword that would endlessly strike its target until it was severed.
Alex scratched his chin. "Hmm... I see some possibilities already."

Similar to Alex, Pearl was consumed with his own need to understand his Spear Domain. Unlike Alex, who didn't have a teacher, he knew what he had to do to form a Spear Domain.
Thanks to both Grimsight and Bladedance, he more or less knew how
to continue on. It was a rather straightforward path too.
All Pearl had to do was choose an Intent.
It was just that simple.
Of course, just because it was simple didn't mean that it was easy. Choosing an Intent was the initial part. He would then have to train and hone that Intent all the way until he could turn it into his personal Spear Intent, thus using it to form his Spear Domain.
In some ways, it was more difficult than what Alex had done, but at least this way, he got to choose exactly what he wanted his Spear Intent to be. And in some way, he could already get started on forming his Spear Heart as well.
Pearl's Spear Aura was defensive in nature, so for the sake of having something that could hurt his enemies, he decided to choose an Intent that was more on the side of destruction.
A Spear Domain that could destroy everything that surrounded him was more than fair in his mind, so that was what he chose. Now came the hard part, where he would have to further hone it until something resembling an Intent surfaced.
Thankfully, there were many beasts willing to fight him at every step of the way to help him with it.
Pearl had lost count of how many beasts he had fought in the past few months. There had to be at least a single beast that came to fight him every day, more than a few on certain days at that. He had taken maybe one week off in all that time to cultivate and regain his Qi. Otherwise, an overnight cultivation would mostly do the job.
The fights hadn't been that dangerous, but there had been one where he simply couldn't beat his opponent and had to give up in the end. The beast he had fought that day had a strong hide that he simply couldn't break past with his current level of strength.
Other than that, he had either defeated every other opponent or ended the battle in a tie.
One thing Pearl had noticed in his time there was that there weren't beasts of higher cultivation bases. Finding any beasts above the Immortal Spirit 3rd realm was incredibly rare.
He wondered why that was and could only guess that it had something to do with the fact that most beasts at that stage developed Divine Qi, which the artifacts blocked.
Either that, or it went against the prideful nature of the beasts to come fight beasts that would obviously be way younger than them. There were other locations in the southern part of Fighting Island where they could properly duel someone of their own strength, after all.
Pearl walked out of the clearing onto a plain of rolling hills with tall grasses and bushes growing all around. There were signs of battle having taken place there recently, with some locations containing craters that the verdant life had quickly taken over.
He narrowed his eyes, looking far in the distance where he saw the tiniest shape of the artifact he had been searching for.
'Finally! After nearly three months,' Pearl thought.
Given that he had found his first artifact just days after arriving, Pearl
had assumed these artifacts to be close to each other, maybe a week apart at best. However, it was only after traveling for so many months that he realized just how far away they were.
Considering the true size of this continent, it made sense these artifacts would be spread so far apart. 'I'm not meant to search for them in the ten years I will remain here, Pearl thought. "The other beasts are supposed to find them over the course of the hundred years they remain here!
Pearl couldn't help but wonder if he could get away with not finding as many artifacts on account of him not having to stay there for too
long.
Without any further thought, he walked forward, heading toward the
artifact, only to stop when he barely arrived at the very next hill.
His spear appeared in his hand immediately, and he turned to face a woman who had also noticed him just then.
As soon as their eyes locked, the two knew that they were going to have to fight now.
