Chapter 3110 Fastest Creatures in Water

Chapter 3110 Fastest Creatures in Water

Alex sighed.

"Can we not? I'm rather busy here. You can consider this your victory if you want to. Take the win."

The woman let out a dry chuckle. She took a step closer, her hands clasped behind her back. "I'm afraid I must insist on a fight. Even if you try to leave, I will just follow you."

Alex realized there was nothing else he could do in that case. He put away the cauldron and brought out his sword. "If you really want a fight, then I'll give you one."

He teleported instantly, arriving behind the woman with his sword already moving toward her neck. He wanted to end the battle in a single strike.

However, at the last moment, the woman ducked her head, letting the sword pass above her. She turned at the same time, her fist coming for his chest.

His Demon Eyes allowed him to see the woman's movement faster than his brain could process, and he employed the Dao of Temporal Swiftness upon himself at the last moment to give himself time to react.

He used the moment to teleport to the side, his sword already filling with Yin Qi as he let out a strike.

God Rending Death Blade

The attack carried with it the aura of the sword, which at the moment was none. So it was just a simple attack carrying nothing but his power. The dark slash flew through the air, striking the woman directly, resulting in a deafening explosion.

Dust and stone flew dozens of meters into the air, leaving a giant hole where the woman previously stood. Or... no. She still stood there.

She waved her hand before her, moving away the dust. Her calm gaze analyzed the place where she stood with a rather amused look on her face. She looked back at him, her amused gaze turning curious.

"Amazing," she said in a low voice.

Alex frowned.

What had just happened? Had the woman done something? A technique maybe? How had she defended against his attack? He hadn't seen her do anything at all.

'Is it just her Qi maybe?' he thought. He narrowed his eyes, his senses moving about the woman, only to realize he couldn't accurately grasp the strength of her cultivation base.

She could be anywhere between the Immortal Origin realm and the Immortal Spirit realm. Never in his life had he felt someone whose cultivation base was so vague.

Before he could think of anything else, the woman moved. Her body flickered from where she stood, arriving next to him in an instant. Alex sped up his own time again, but even as he did so, the woman didn't slow.

She was just as fast as before.

Alex pulled back his sword at the last moment, using it to block through her absurd speed. The palm landed on the sword, the force traveling through it into his chest. Many bones cracked in that one hit, and Alex tumbled down the hill.

He was nearly at the foot of the hill before he got back up, staring at the trail his body had left through the earth. His bones were already healed, so he looked for the woman up at the hill, only to not see her.

"Want to hear something fun?" the woman said, her voice coming from his left.

Alex turned, unable to understand how she was next to him. He moved back, sword ready to strike, but the woman remained

unmoved.

"Do you know what the fastest creatures in water are?" she asked.

Alex froze for a moment, blindsided by her question. "What?" he asked.

"The fastest creatures in the water," she said.

Alex narrowed his eyes. Was this an ocean beast?

She gestured for him to answer.

Alex thought for a moment and said, "Whichever has the higher cultivation base."

The woman laughed. "That's true, but what if the creatures had no cultivation base?" she said. "What if they were regular beasts with no techniques? What is faster then?"

Alex frowned. "I don't know. What?" he asked.

"Creatures who live in the water, of course," she said. "I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be a trick question. Creatures who are used to living in water are, of course, faster in water than creatures that aren't used

to living in water."

Alex lowered his sword slightly, losing his stance. What the hell was going on? He couldn't feel any animosity from the woman. There was

no killing intent.

The woman was quite eccentric, but not dangerous-at least, not dangerous to him.

'But she is strong,' he thought. 'Is she hiding her cultivation base perhaps? If not, then her body cultivation must be strong!

"Do you have nothing to say?" the woman prodded. "Why are you telling me all that?" Alex asked. What did talk of

creatures living in water or air have anything to do with the battle? The woman grinned. "Are you interested to know?" she asked. "Do you want me to tell you?"

Alex sighed, raising his sword back up. "No. Sorry, I don't care. If you don't mind, I want to end this fight already."

The woman appeared disappointed, but she shrugged. "Fine, we can

continue."

She raised her palm toward Alex and suddenly created a blast of water that took the form of something akin to a dragon that came for

him.

Alex jumped directly onto the incoming attack and slashed through it with his physical strength. With his Divine realm body cultivation, the water dragon came apart in a single strike.

The woman looked surprised by Alex's strength, as she had no way of knowing that his cultivation base was far weaker than his body

cultivation.

Alex pushed against the air itself and dashed toward the woman, who quickly raised her hand as if to use another attack.

Alex wouldn't let her. The world shrank between the two, and Alex

was in front of her immediately, his sword striking down on her outstretched palm.

The woman never even got the chance to use her technique.
