Chapter 3218 Scarlet After Cultivation

Pearl stared at the empty seat, unable to do anything else.

The dragons had taken their leave so quickly that no one among them had been able to react in time. They were left wondering if someone should have said something.

"She's still the same, huh?" Bai Jingshen said. "No, actually. She might be even worse now."

Pearl stood up. "I'll go get her. She's only angry at me. Once she knows father is here, she will-"

"No," Qing Tianchui said, cutting off Pearl. "There's no need."

"But... you wanted to talk to her," Pearl said.

"I wanted to meet her, and I have," Qing Tianchui said. "I have seen that she is fine. That is all I really needed."

"You don't want to talk to her?" Pearl asked.

"Not when she's like this to you." He turned to stare at the door, falling into thought. "I wonder if she was always like this. If only I had some memories of the past."

"She was different," Bai Jingshen said. "I can't tell how much, but the first time I met-when I delivered her your news-she was different. She grew cold after learning about your death."

"I... I see," Qing Tianchui said, looking toward Pearl. He could see himself becoming worse if something were to happen to Pearl, especially when that something was completely out of his hands and he had no one else to blame.

He still very much loved his mother, but that did not mean he had to accept her.

"I have seen that she is well. I need nothing else," he said, looking toward the others. "I'm sorry I wasted our time."

"That's fine," Alex said. "We were going to have to come here anyway, so nothing's wasted. Speaking of which, we should get ourselves a place to stay for now and wait for Scarlet. I've already let her know we're here, so she should be visiting not long from now."

Just as Alex said, the phoenixes arrived some time later. Scarlet wasn't alone, and with her were Feng Ningzhu and Feng Xianhei, her grandfather and mother.

"Seniors," Alex bowed toward the two with respect. Pearl got off his seat and did the same. Qing Tianchui gave a slight nod, but Bai Jingshen didn't do even that.

"You're back on time," Scarlet said, still in her phoenix form. "I was worried I would've had to wait longer since I don't have any more contribution left to enter our Temporal Cultivation zones."

Alex smiled as he listened to her and sensed her cultivation base. "How long did you cultivate?" he couldn't help but ask.

"Hmm, a little above 400 years. It's hard to quantify the time when the period of cultivation fluctuates so very much inside our Temporal Cultivation zones. Sometimes I was cultivating 50 days in a single day, and sometimes it was just 4 days to a day. Still, I think it's been 400 years."

"No wonder," Alex said with a slight shake of his head. "You're already Immortal Origin 8th realm. It shouldn't be long before you enter the Immortal Transcendent realm."

"Yes!" Scarlet said excitedly. "It's all thanks to your pills, really. Without them, it's hard to say how much weaker I would've been."

"It's mostly still you," Alex said. "Speaking of which, how many Origins are you forming?"

"4!" Scarlet said proudly. "I tried to go with 8, but I couldn't do it. It's pretty much impossible for me."

Alex gave a small smile and nodded. "And what Creations are you going to have?" he asked.

Scarlet froze for a moment before vigorously shaking her head. "You told me the progenitor's Phoenix flame was a bad idea, so I've been stuck unable to make any decision."

"Oh, I have an idea," Pearl said quickly. "You can use one of mine. It's incredible."

Scarlet raised an eyebrow. "Really? Tell me about it later on. I'll consider whether I like the idea or not."

Alex thought about it for a second and nodded. He already knew what one of Pearl's Creations was going to be, so it was a great idea for Scarlet to have it as well. The only issue with her absorbing it was that one needed to have a certain degree of talent in bypassing the complexity of the Creation that was Godkiller's physique.

Only those with talent could accept it.

Scarlet was talented, but not that talented, so it was unsure if it would work on her or not. Alex was happy to let her try though, so as long as Pearl could teach her on his own, it would do.

When Alex had first heard about this Creation, he had nearly wanted to get it for himself. Still now, if nothing worked out, he would resort to that. He had also considered Whisker for it, but after learning what was so great about the physique, he had more or less realized how wholly useless it was for him.

An eye that could see better than most? Whisker had whiskers that were much stronger.

Regenerate after a grievous wound? He was practically immortal. He could come back to life after death, so what else would he need?

A strong physical body? Whisker had consumed Elixir.

As for talent, without being able to cultivate, there was nothing Whisker could use the talent on, so it was useless as well.

All in all, Whisker didn't need Godkiller's physique.

Unlike him though, Scarlet was a perfect choice.

Scarlet smiled at them all. "You guys came to get me, right?" she

asked. "When do we leave?"

"In a short while," Alex said. "About half a year later. We have

something important to do."

"What is important?" she asked. "What do the four of you have to do

here? Actually, wait. Do I even know you?"

The Azure Dragon turned to Scarlet. Pearl reached for his necklace,

taking it away. "Do you remember him now?"

With the illusion gone, the red and yellow form showed itself to them

all, revealing to everyone that he was an Azure Dragon given life through his blood.
